I think out of all the Nightmare designs 2 is my absolutely my favorite. Very striking but also simplistic. It also a contrast in the back with his flesh literally melded with the armor and that flowing red tassel is the perfect cherry on top. Would love to see team Soul Calibur revisit this design as it's his absolute best.
Personally, my favorite version is 3 He seems rather scary there and he does have some creepy aspects to his character too The mouth from his shoulder To his eyes in the cinematics and how Soul Edge (Phantom) looks strange it looks so good

Soul Calibur 1, 2 and 3 were fantastic games, best games in the series, very good themes for Nightmare/Siegfried from all 3, my favorite is Forsaken Sanctuary, since it's my favorite track from the entire series, but I think Raise Thy Sword and In the Name of Father are both very close seconds.
Nightmare would be a good idea for smash bros but since the smash community hates generic anime swordsman characters they might not like him being in smash

@nicolascarella8253 Very late response (and you may know this already, but just in case), but the 3rd theme ("If There Was Any Other Way") isn't actually Nightmare's theme, it plays for every character's Destined Battle. Forsaken Sanctuary is Nightmare's theme in 3, he shares it with Siegfried. If There Was Any Other Way does use the leitmotif from Sophitia's Wings of Faith theme, so you were right about it being Sophitia-esk 😂

Yes, it plays everytime when you fight Nightmare in story mode or sometimes the Siegfried's one
