Change the title to add "Dedicated to David Jaffe" at the end
Lmao
Who?
@@stefanfr13 original god of war dev that made 10 videos saying how dread is the worst designed game ever when he didn't know to shoot the blocks in the hot room of Artaria
Hahaha they need to send this video to that punk
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Tip 1 is clearly for David Jaffe.
They even used a clip of the section he got stucked in
Yeah brutal
Shots fired by Nintendo
More like the whole video for him
HAHAHAHA
Or in other words:
Metroid Dread- Jaffe Survival Tips - Nintendo Switch
😂😂😂😂😂
This has to be one of the best troll in history. Nintendo is awesome.
David Jaffe, is the kind of dude who wanted Metroid Dread to hold his hand from start to finish so Nintendo gave him some free tips. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Poor David. He never stood a chance
Nah not "poor", he deserves the backlash. That's probably one of the reasons why youtube is banning "dislike attacks" now 🙄
😂😂😂😂😂David Jaffe, is a noob at playing video games he only makes them. He wanted Metroid Dread to hold his hand from start to finish.
@@vendettaworldwide6134 it's super funny too since Dread's critical path is quite guided if you're perceptive. but the effort is lost on some people obviously. lol
Now he will have it 😃 lol.
The fact that almost every comment is about David Jaffe really shows how much he was dissing Metroid Dread.
This is a response to certain developers.
👀
COUGH COUGH David
God of war 🤣
I don't wanna say "f^^^ David Jaffe" but then again...... f^^^ that dude.
I question his so-called game design abilities, just because you design a linear game ( if that was even you) does that translate to a game like Metroid. Learn to pay attention, better yet learn to read, or use the aiming.
for people that don't think.
Lmao definitely a jab at God of war creator jaffe well on u Nintendo. Lmao
If anything its a jab at Nintendo, the fact that Nintendo was prompted to make this video means they acknowledged that he had a point, I've seen countless people getting stuck at that spot and get frustrated.
@@The_Ostrich It's called playing videogames. Just like life, you have to figure out things on your own sometimes!
@@theafricantriforce8878
Go on, play your game then, but don't cry again when the next Metroid sells bad and you won't see Metroid again for 10 years because casual consumers, which make up 90% of the market, got frustrated with Dread and won't buy Metroid again 🤣🤣
@@The_Ostrich ay lmao, Dark Souls is even more obtuse and hard and is a giant sucess.
Damn, Dread is already succesful, with the highest units sold on Japand and USA, and is only one month old
@@someghostinthewild
Doesn't mean anything, Xenoblade Definitive Edition also did 1.3 million in the first month and then a mere 200'000 for the rest of the year, now what?
We all know Nintendo made this video because of one particular guy.

It's also funny when the video zooms into something to show how important it is.
I hope people send this video to him haha
I see Nintendo's starting off the video with a tip for David Jaffe, very cool
😂
didn't know Nintendo knew how to roast
Dammit now I have to delete my comment. 😂 I said something similar lmao.

These tips are great for young children, or David Jaffe, who struggle with the basics of this game
hey now...I'm willing to bet young children are more competent when it comes to playing Metroid than David Jaffe. XD
Even babies who've been alive for 1 second, can play dread better than david jaffe.
Pretty sure even a child would shoot the ceiling, just because of the enemies, and find the hidden blocks. Jaffe was even hampering his own progress by not using free aim! You can use ut to shoot everything not blocked by a wall! Why would you not use it?!
YO!!! Nintendo straight up had enough of David Jaffe and told him how to play the game!!! THIS is my favorite Nintendo thing ever!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
it is amusing to think that they're not taking him seriously at all lol. good, nobody is.
Video should be titled "how to play metroid for God of war creaters".
3 game modes: Normal, Hard, Jaffe
In Jaffe Mode, the scan pulse is active constantly so all hidden blocks glow. All enemies will fly down directly in front of you so you can play the game like Mega Man instead of Metroid. When the game gets too hard, a Chozo comes out and leads Samus by the hand to where she needs to go and kills the enemies for her. Also, the Chozo will give Samus a hug and tell her that she doesn't have to be good, the game will play itself for her.
Near the beginning of the game, when you take control of Samus, it reads...
"Some destructible blocks are hidden. If you run into a dead end, try shooting at your surroundings. Striking some blocks with Missiles may reveal how to destroy them". Dave Jaffe, failed to read.
To be honest, his problem was not that he can't read or anything, but more so can't really pick up the clues on which room and area to shoot, which lead to the rant "where to shoot?" lol.
Even though I’ve already played this game like 4 times just seeing Nintendo actually push a Metroid game is nice
It's worth pushing when it's not an embarrassing mess like Other M & Federation force.
Federation Force was fine at least. It’s inoffensive
@@train4292 federation force was fine but it release at the wrong time lmao
Lmao, I liked that they even showed the infamous David Jaffe room.
Tips for people whose names begin with D... and end with -avid Jaffe.
Literally the second clip of the first tip. My god, Jaffe.
David Jaffe should watch this
If Jaffe complained about some hidden blocks, I can’t imagine him solving shinespark puzzles out
Good thing you don't really have to solve shinespark puzzles.
Not to mention the bosses. He wouldn't even be able to tackle a certain returning big baddie
@@Linkman247 Speaking of bosses I watched his review. He said he only played up to the first boss he described as a "floating eyeball." Oh David, bless your heart.
@@Linkman247 Getting used to (not even mastering) the free-aim seems to be a necessity for this game, so I have little hope for the man.
@@love-hammer He basically admitted in a video his viewership was up. He did it as a troll video because he hasn't done anything relevant since 2017. And even then that game Drawn to Death was crap.

They put the exact place where he was crying about hahahahahah so hilarious
He’ll go on and on about being the creator of Twisted Metal and God of War, but the entries developed by him are considered the worst in their respective series
I'm definitely never buying a PlayStation and God of war Right after David called this game bad.
(I also love PC and Xbox just to keep that in mind)
@@M64bros God of War 4 is amazing, tho, and 5 is looking to be great as well. You shouldn't miss out on them.
Also, in case there might be some confusion, David only developed the first two entries in the series. The rest were done by different devs.
@@BknMoonStudios that's cool and all. But he should learn to keep his opinions to himself rather than exposing them out in public. The only one thing I like about PlayStation is Spider-Man PS4 and insomniac games
Has David Jaffee seen this yet?? 😂😂😂
the Jaffe room never gets old!

0:13 I love how Nintendo shows this part of the gameplay on purpose as a "TIP"
They know 😈😈😈
I still enjoy playing this game, even if a lot of others have finished it by now. Replaying and challenging yourself in new ways is more fun that ever.
Got through my second playthrough on hard mode. Definitely a great game. Was able to shave off like 3 hours off the first run I had at the game. I cannot wait for the next installment of the franchise as a whole. And cannot wait for Prime 4. AND if the rumor is true that Prime is done for the Switch. I will be so happy.
Ah yes, the old 'if I can't immediately figure it out, it's bad game design.'
I actually feel quite satisfied with my normal playthrough. First beating it, then 100% that file and stomping Raven Beak. Fantastic game that i still love to think about and hear others talk about it. Samus was amazing throughout the game
Yup! I've finished probably 7 or 8 times already. It's just an absolute joy to play. :-)
I did my first Dread run, then got Samus Returns, then played Dread again, then Fusion, then ZM, then Dread again
Tip 6
Don't bother with the demo just buy the game you won't regret it
Dear David Jaffe,
Get good.

I'm early so I want to say it: this game is a masterpiece and probably the best in the series, I didn't have so much fun in a Nintendo game since Super Mario Odyssey. I really hope the success of the game will bring more Metroid in the future!
It really has the best player movement since Mario Odyssey. Clearly something that Nintendo understands really well.

Well, Jaffe your legacy lives on.
I can't believe we leave in a world where game devs are as bad at video games as game journos.
Not just newbie devs, but PlayStation devs.
But he gets a pass from some people because he played the cancel culture card.
It's cool seeing Nintendo promote Metroid so much. Some of these are pretty helpful too - the "highlight icons" feature is great for new players but often overlooked.
Woooow, the big N acknowledged the Jaffe Gaffe.

It's really kind of Nintendo to help the special needs game journalists out there who can't comprehend tips already explained by the game. Their struggle is REAL. ✊😔
It was a game _developer_ who complained about not being able to find hidden blocks.
Also, I have special needs, and I figured this game out just fine. I have autism. Apparently I'm better at a game than a literal game developer.

Somebody at Mercury Steam wasn't really happy with David Jaffes review.
00:07 Boom immediately thought about David Jaffe. Nice burn Nintendo
Makes sense to make a video for dummies that are not familiar to old game and their trickery. I remember shooting everywhere in the old NES to Super Metroid to ensure there are hints or reveal a new path in caves. Ha!
That lowkey destructible block callout lmao
This should be called Metroid for dummies. Most of this is series staples that anyone who's played other games in the series before would know already.
yeah this video is specially for those who've never played metroid before...and for David Jaffe as well
My little nephews had more trouble with aiming than I had thought, so tip 5 made me chuckle. They weren't pushing the stick along the outside, so they kept breaking their aim by applying minimal pressure.

That "aim like you're drawing a circle " tip might seem silly, but TRUST ME, it's huge. I got about halfway throught he gaim without doing it and the aiming felt stiff and awkward, but once I finally 'clicked' with that style of aiming through my own trials and tribulations it felt amazing. Take that tip seriously!
We all know this is for David Jaffe! 😂🤣
Love the franchise, tryed the demo, loved it and purchased the game in that order
All of these tips were placed and mentioned INTENTIONALLY to make sure there aren't any IDIOTS making lame excuses for being terrible gamers
I been saying this all the time. The game LITERALLY teaches you from the very beginning at the tutorial to SHOOT EVERYTHING you see if you're stuck.
There's a video out there that shows how Jaffe spent HOURS finding doors or paths that are blocked (even old paths he already took) which funnels him toward the area he was supposed to clear but got stuck on.
There's also a morph ball tunnel for the player to down+slide to the right of the area he was to get to and its even on the map.
there's an enemy on the top and it fires at you, and you ahve to fire it back, and if you kept shooting, you'd shoot the beam block
Like another commenter said:
This game does EVERYTHING in its power to direct you to the right path.
