  • 3 NEW GIANT STATUES IN THE PHILIPPINES
1.The Time Sculpture Filipino-American public artist JEFRË’s (Jefre Manuel Figueras) artwork portrays a person glancing at his watch as a way of reminding the riding public of the value of time.
JEFRË wanted the public to “reflect on time and what we’re achieving in our lives.”
Made from mirror stainless steel, the massive structure contains points that run the length of the figure's body. Polyhedrons connect these points, forming complicated three-dimensional planes. JEFRË converted the statue's head to a block as a statement on people’s role as the building blocks of a city.
The sculpture made with mirror stainless steel has points established across the figure’s body and are then connected by polyhedrons that create complex three-dimensional planes. The box-shaped head is also an iconic form within the artwork as it establishes the figure as symbolic expressions. For JEFRË, people are the building blocks of the city and by converting the statue’s head to a block, the artist connects the figures to urban architecture.
Bayani," which is a towering 64-feet (or six storey high) sculpture, is found along the entrance of DoubleDragon Meridian Park. Further down the road is "Pag-asa," which appears to peer and wave from behind a building. Both dedicated to the Filipino youth, the sculptures symbolize the younger generations as the country's driving force for economic growth.
The first sculpture is standing between two buildings and “wearing” a suit while the arms are tightly crossed. This can now be seen by anyone due to its height but is still surrounded by scaffoldings. Most probably, there are still final touches to be done
The second sculpture can be seen on top of the building in an unusual but creatively displayed position that seems like it is waving to the motorist. Its position is also like a half human body peeking outside a window, which makes this artwork unique since it is not common in other the buildings in the country.
Robinsons Land Corp said it would install what could be one of the world's tallest art installations in its newest development, hoping to establish a new Instagram hot spot in the capital.
"The Victor," designed by Filipino-American artist Jefre Manuel-Figueras, is 60 meters or about 20-storeys high. It will be located in Bridgetowne, Robinsons Land's first ever township that also features a bridge that connects Pasig and Quezon cities.
The Victor is vying to become the "tallest lighting projection" art installation in the world.
The marine-grade perforated steel art piece, which is designed to stand the elements.
