This is soo adorable!! And young parents, take note--slowww it downnn.... They grow up so damn fast, I swear to you, as "that" mom, it truly goes by in the blink of an eye. Somedays you're so stressed, worn out, would give anything for a clean kitchen and a nice hot bath with your fave book.... and you catch yourself thinking, My God, does this ever end?? I'm here to tell ya it DOES end, in the flash of a moment when you look back on it. Oh you'll have the constant clean kitchen, enough time for bubble bath every night..... But you won't want it. Trust me, because again I've been that Mom.... you'll miss the running thru the house, toys scattered everywhere, sinks of dishes, and all you want is time with your child, because you can take a bath later. It starts in high school, they find less time for us, then you've got military or college....they move out, go out, making their mark on the world. And the silence will be deafening. Its one of the hardest periods of a parents life, while the most exciting for the kid. So, don't take them for granted! Spend every moment you can with them. If they stay close, make date nights with them! Be as creative as you want it to be. I'd give ANYTHING for chances like that again with my sons. They were 11 months apart, I'm an only child and my hubby came from family of 9- so 2 rowdy boys? No biggie to him. Id get one room cleaned and then somehow it'd already be time to clean the 1ol one! Lol And I tried telling myself, one day you're gonna miss this.... And omg how I'd listened when my grandma would tell me all the time... enjoy them while they're little, they're only little once. Best advice I didn't pay enough attention to. My story just ends in a way I pray yours never does. Wouldn't wish this pain on anyone else. But yes, they did leave. I've already written a novel so not going into details, but our youngest passed away at 21 yrs old. Haven't talked to our other since since he was 23. Never ever could've seen all the pain that was coming, that my hubby & I would have to learn without them, and thats one of life's hardest lessons. You never get over that kind of loss, you only learn how to accept it. And though coming up on 8yrs, the pain still just as raw as it was both days, when at different times, they etched walked out my door and never came back. I pray with my heart my oldest is doing well, that he's found happiness and love. Thats it. All I can for him right now. So ending this, just pleading, be a better mother than me, don't sweat the small stuff...none of any of that matters in the big picture. Hope my message wasn't too long for everyone, I never mean for it too, I ju seem to carry on too much about the song, lyrics and why some of them touch me the way they do, then usually end up talking about kid in Heaven, or talking about my own Progidical son who I despe6rabgbg yuk hbb mtely pray God just takes his heart and shakes it up so much that will put hi m 9n the road home again....
