From what I understand it’s more of a Guard/reserve thing. Like the other comment says, he’s with RSP, which is where those who just joined the guard out of Highschool, or after their junior year, or those who just got back from AIT go. For example, my recruiter was an RSP drill, and I had to go right before basic, and right when I got home from AIT
National Guard has Drill Sergeants too. They go through the same training as regular drill sergeant school. Once they complete their training, they return home and drill with RSP units to be a drill sergeant and prepare recruits for bct. While active duty drill sergeants will be a drill sergeant for bct. The reason he’s able to be a recruiter and a drill sergeant is because recruiting is his AGR job, while drill sergeant is his MDAY job.

@@psycoactive1710i genuinely feel like everyone of you who get on here and call service members POGs for not being 11 series have never really served, or were washed out in basic, go get your feet wet first before you start trying to worry about the service of another individual, just bc you were too stupid to be qualified for a MOS that actually teaches career skills doesn’t mean you should down everyone who was smart enough.
I always wanted to join the Airforce and fly the F22 but the money issue came in the way preventing me continue living a normal citizen life and everything went down hill.

I ended up not finishing what i wanted to do because of how things went down and i was the only one in the family taking care of mom.

You’re able to do multiple different broadening assignments. Recruiting is a 3 year tour just like Drill is.
