I have the same model except in black - had Kelpi custom make over the seat - a work of art from Kelpi - worth every dollar and transformed the look of the bike
I'm getting my xsr900 in the 2024 red colour in a few weeks and I'm for sure going to put a kelpi seat on it! They look so much better than the stock seats, truly amazing
I got myself a RaceFit full titanium exhaust, a bit loud for some (you can´t get much louder than it is), as of right now it's the only XSR900 in the world with a RaceFit system, it's not launched yet, but I was one of the first to buy the MT09 version and the only guy to put it on an XSR.
Very cool. I believe I’ve seen your bike online just from what you are describing. Racefit makes an excellent product. Have seen a few in person on various bikes. Cheers man.
Great setup. I have exactly the same setup minus the clip ons and bar end mirrors, but the black model. Chuffed with the seat and the exhaust, and as you said, customer service was spot on. I'm looking forward to the next video. Great channel. 👍🏻
Great. Everybody seems to be happy with their KELPI parts. How is the black finish holding up on yours? Thanks for watching! A lot more XSR content on the way.
@ridewithKY sorry, I meant black XSR 900. I have the stainless exhaust, too, but I did contemplate on going with the cerakoted one, but I like the look of the welding on the stainless one too much which swayed my judgment in the end.
Thanks for your easy to watch and cool presentation. I enjoyed your laconic and no bullshit approach. You seem like nice people. As for Kelpi, and as Aussie I feel they are overpriced for what they offer. I took an XSR900 with a Kelpi exhaust and it rode crap……I then took a MT-09 without and wow…..so I ended up buying a new XSR900 ❤, and will keep looking for a better exhaust and flash/tune!
Thank you for the kind words. Sorry about your experience with the Kelpi exhaust on the XSR900. Enjoy the XSR900 you purchased and hope you put many miles on it.
These are S2 concept clip ons. We reflashed this one but I don’t know if it’s actually required in order to not damage the engine. We decided to do the flash just to optimize the set up. Thank you!
@@ridewithKY Agreed I'm going to do the same for mine it was either corbin or kelpi . Have you seen the corbin seat ? i put a little cowl around the light and put regular mirrors cause those bar end made the bike like 42" wide rally hard to lane split. next is exhaust and seat . I have video of my bike on IG at the same handle as here .
I have seen the Corbin and it’s nice of course but I think I prefer the KELPI. However, anything is better than the stock seat. 😂. I’ll make sure to check out your instagram. Appreciate you sharing your experiences and knowledge.
Interesting video. I never considered the differences in catalytic converters. The look of the Kelpi exhaust is simply amazing and very complimentary to the look of the bike. I've considered getting it myself (got the 'stock' Akra now, but it's too quiet for my taste) but import duties were expensive. Went with a Roadsitalia exhaust instead (which is due to arrive next week). I put on my S2 windshield and passenger seat cowl on today, which also totally change the looks of the bike. I'm considering getting the Ermax Belly Pan too, although I want to fit my exhaust first to see if there's enough clearance. Anyhow, thanks for the video(s)!
Thank you. We thought it would be helpful to provide a visual for the inside of the catalytic converter. There’s a big difference in restriction when it comes to catalytic converters. A 600+ cell brick (OEM cats) is going to be very restrictive compared to a 100 or even 200 cell cat. Initially we were exploring options to de-cat the KELPI exhaust but now seeing how low the cell count is, I don’t think it’d make a difference. Glad your Roadsitalia exhaust worked out for you. I haven’t seen that one yet, but will check it out tonight. We are looking at the Ermax pan also, it kind of completes the cafe racer look for these bikes. Thanks so much for watching and for your support. 🙏🏽.
Been seeing your videos intermittently since you started with the vitpilen and I can tell you're getting more comfortable and the pacing is better. I had the exact same kelpi exhaust installed for me over the weekend and I'm diggin it so far. I definitely notice the awareness change on the freeway here in SoCal especially during traffic so with that alone the purchase is worth it. Looking forward to more content!
Well thank you for continuing to watch. I guess it’s like anything else where you just get better with practice. Of course there is still much to improve on. Hopefully as I get better equipment and get better at recording/editing, the videos will continue to improve. Good to hear you are also enjoying your KELPI exhaust. It’s certainly much safer to have some kind of exhaust while commuting through traffic. Again, thank you very much for continuing to view. 🙏🏽.
@@ridewithKY btw, how's the viewing angle of the mirrors? I really like the look of the inverted mirrors but I'm constantly checking for cops since my area has a ton of ninjas with badges that sneak up on you.
@rafaelbondoc2312 any inverted mirror is not going to be as good functionally as a mirror. It’s useable for sure but you’ve got to move your head around a bit to really see where you want to see. Whereas mirrors mounted traditionally you can keep your head pretty much stationary and see everything you need to.

I have not tried the stock seat or aftermarket seat with a passenger. I would think the KELPI would be a little better for a passenger because it’s not as hard and isn’t as tall. That stock passenger portion of the seat is very square and tall.
I got the bronze setup from them, didn’t get a spring puller either but love it, I actually used the baffle in mine and it’s pretty loud still, gonna do the mirrors and seat from them this winter, check out the Ermak front fairing from France, it came color matched and I had to finess the fitment w the lower bars like yours but looks awesome!
Nice. You won’t be disappointed with the seat. We’ve seen that lower fairing and am certainly considering it at this point. It’ll really finish off the bike. Thank you for watching!
What size clip ons for the forks? That looks soooo dope! I have the new MT 09 coming in a few days, but this is making me second guess my decision. The only thing I didn't like about the xsr is the seat and would definitely put the clip -ons with it.

I'm looking for the quietest full exhaust with VCYCLENUT tune. IS your choice it? Or did you find other systems that are a bit quieter in your research? It is very difficult to get dB numbers on various exhausts with a tune. I'm just looking for slightly more volume with the drivability of his tunes.
The Kelpi is a lot louder than stock. It does come with a DB killer, so you could use that to reduce some of the sound, however, DB killers are generally pretty restrictive. Overall if your concern is volume and you don't want it too loud then I would look elsewhere for an exhaust. Maybe if Akra has something? Akra's are generally pretty quiet.
Hey bro what handle bars do you have on there? I love the way they look, i've been debating upgrading the stock ones on my 2016 xsr900 but wonder if the lower ones are any less comfortable?
Those are s2 concept clip ons. It’s going to be a little more weight on your wrists because they are a lot lower than the stock bars. But help with the wind since you aren’t sitting so straight up and down.
SC makes a good exhaust for these bikes. It’s lighter and flows a little better because it has no catalytic converter. That being said it is a louder exhaust. Last I checked the SC is more expensive. SC in my experience is also hit or miss quality. In this case I’d probably go with KELPI, but I don’t think you’d be wrong for going with SC.

Thank you! Looks much better with the modifications. Given your description I think this bio would suit you perfect. Has plenty of performance but is also relatively comfortable. For long trips I would say the wind buffering might get to be a little bit much but you can add a windscreen.
