It is a live recording, directly from the mixer/soundboard, this is not a mobile recording in front of one particular speaker, it is *maybe* taken directly from the IEM, but most likely directly off the board because it's just easier to split master and be done with it. Ed is turned down to zero, he isn't even wearing his earpiece.

Adding a Floyd Rose would totally change the sound of the guitar. It simply isn't going to sound like the sort of guitar that JM grew up loving. If you don't need the functionality of a Floyd you get a much more vintage sound out of a traditional bridge.

the reason you hear it at all is because this isnt the audio from the PA speakers, its actually the audio from the earbuds the band is wearing.
