Tim talked about being knocked down by Bakhram as if it was a lucky shot that clipped him early. Watching the fight again, I noticed Tim was getting touched up and dominated in round 1 and before the knockdowns. He was shown levels that day - I hope he acknowledges that.

Murt ate those punches like it was a buttered vegemite sandwitch. He realised that Tim had little power and couln't hurt him and once Tim felt Murt's power, it was game over. I think Tim is a natural 147 to be honest. He's style demands he is stronger than his opponents, sort of like Beterbiev, but Tim isn't that strong. He just thinks he is because he beats up on sparring partners...maybe less sparring and more strength, power and foot work. This will also make his career last longer as he sounds punch drunk and it seems he's taken too many hits to the head over the years.

My feeling now is, apart from Tim's boxing/movement, that you can't in theory really prepare for a situation like this. If this was his first time seriously getting hurt, you can't know for certain how you are going to react. I still think Tim needs to work on his boxing/movement but I believe this was possibly a valuable experience for him, in more ways than one. Something that you can't truly simulate through training.

Sadly, the next time Tim gets hit hard, he's going to know if his punch resistance is gone or seriously compromised. It happens to a lot of fighters after they're repeatedly knocked down or knocked out. Tim's description of how he felt was vivid and disturbing and I hope he's okay. A bad concussion is always a worry and I hope he can make a solid come back in the near future.

Unfortunately, its not always from taking punches in the bouts, mostly its from over sparring. Tim spars too much and needs to work on other aspects of him fight game because he didn't make any adjustments, listened to his BS team who don't know what they are talking about and clearly didn't have any idea what he was up against because they didn't do ANY film studies - which is such a stupid and arrogant thing to go. A film study is the FIRST thing you do when you're going into a training camp and it needs to be done with people who are not afraid to tell it like it is and who know the sweet science properly. Now, they've thrown him into the lion's den despite any psychological issues and concerns about how his cut would hold up. They are deluded; Tim is a human, not the Terminator. Not doing comprehensive film studies is highly arrogant, unprofessional and plainly, stupid. I can assure you casuals who think that criticism is 'hating', that him NOT doing film studies is the main reason he lost so badly. I don't think he would have beaten Murt, but at least it might have gone to a decision and maybe a rematch if it was a close fight. But instead, he keeps up the arrogant stupid mentality that his team keep encouraging because the casuals who DKSAB get all fanboy excited about it. What a terrible team and trainer he must have.
In fact, those who do know $hit about boxing and are providing criticism, are the true fans of this man.

Tim did not crash or burn IMO. He had a bad night and got tagged and simply could not recover. On to the next.

A bad night implies there was something wrong with Tim that led to the loss, there was not
He did the same things and made the same mistakes he always does, he was simply in the ring with a much better fighter who utilized lateral movement and traps to put him out

I'm very glad he's at the stage where he realises there's more to life. It puts things in perspective. Get back to his roots, get some confidence back, he'll find himself up there again. Haters gonna hate.. We're proud of you mate!

Kostya - narcissistic father. Feel for his boys. But i gathered from this interview and Glen Jennings that they will not depend on or seek validation from Kosyta.
We all remembered when Kostya was being interviewed pre Muritulev fight that he is "booked out" seeming too important to sacrifice for his kid... then again no suprise he deserted them.
Lesson learnt - might be a champion at boxing, but a terrible person outside the ring. Dont look up to anyone just cos they are good at 1 particular thing.

what an arrogant creep. he thinks he'll bounce back.. Bahkram is, was your level that you won't be able to pass. Problem is you don't want to admit your mistakes. Thinking you just got caught early.. No man, you reached your top and it is only way down from there.. You ARE - average!!!! nothing special. Your dad was, not you!!! Your dad also arrogant, but at least he deserves to be as he was a top dog.

Was a bad match for you Tim, a title shot with a guy in that stage of his career after a loss was STUPID. you need to look those in the eye that put you there and ask why!
Then ask yourself honestly if they have YOUR best interests at heart.
Honestly mate, you were a sacrifice in the fundora fight that should of been stopped because of the bookies and keeping opposing promoters happy. you were thrown in the way of murt when you honestly could of taken him after 2 or 3 recovery fights for the money!
I hope you see this Tim.
Rid yourself of your current promoter, involve your father, he knows way more than these guys.

Learn the lesson folks…Vergil ducked Crawford and gets exposed by bohachuk. Timmy DUCKED bud twice and got his clock cleaned by a nobody. Could have made more money and gotten respect losing to Crawford. Now look atcha. Karma for the ducks
