Great vid, thanks for the tips! Is edge painting more preferable on chrome cause it tends to be softer than veg tan? Is there any problem with using edge pain on veg tan - say with adgesion or overall durability? Thanks!
@@Eutanazer happy you liked it ❤️ Well, chrome tan leather is definitely harder to polish with tokonole or gum trag so it’s definitely easier to cover that with the paint. Chrome tanned also can be very sturdy and sometimes even too much. And there is definitely no problems with using it veg tanned, it’s just a matter of taste, but using base layer is necessary to harden that edge a bit and make it more adhesive. Is it as durable as nicely polished edge- definitely not, but that doesn’t mean that paint will go off on a second day😉 Hope that will help 😉
@ I believe this is a store in US, but try to look somewhere on amazon ( it could be a little cheaper) ( it’s the same thing but in a different bottle) www.ivan.tw/products/fenice-diamond-edge-base-coats?srsltid=AfmBOoqDFRWU4GLB1xJ8VXzfgKVK_xOxDAFuTsCIaSwziQF2clNJKGDd
I believe you are talking about the base layer, which is in big white bottle with green lid on it, 0:41 , it is basically transparent. It looks black because I am putting it on leather and it darken because it’s kind of wet. That’s why it may look like a black. or you have something else in your mind I’m totally have no idea what you’re talking about 😂😂😂

Do I have to use the base layer on veg tan?
@@tvmaglis sure, works as fine as on the chrome.
It soaks in an make that edge stiff, that really helps to make perfect paint layer.
@ I am in the states. I cant find the base layer you were using.
