He says over and over, he's a doctor. He just proved why it takes so many really sick people, so long to get a proper diagnosis. He thinks he knows everything, and doesn't listen to the patient, who is living with the disease. She is trying to be a advocate, getting information out, to help people. I have learned the hard way to stand up for myself, take control and not just think, well he has M.D behind his name, he knows all. I have DLE Lupus, which has caused gastroparesis, my stomach has shut down, connected to machines. I have learned so much on my own by doing research. I suggest everyone research GMO and what they are putting into their bodies. Ever wonder why healthy people can't get pregnant, so many cases of cancer, diabetes, and now gastroparesis.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son and I know what he's going through..just something to think about..and his doctor will probably not mention this to him..the only thing that helped me was when I finally stopped eating genetically modified foods, all of them! I was so sick I could hardly function and I thought I was literally going to fall over and die. I tried gluten free, but it didn't help and I was losing my mind trying to figure out what was going on with my body until I heard an episode of Coast to Coast and heard about genetically modified foods and how there was a huge increase in Celiac disease and the leaky gut syndrome ..Now 6 months later, it has changed my life..I just eat organic and yes it is expensive ,but if you buy just a few staples like wheat, rice, etc at a time every time you shop, pretty soon you have a cabinet with good foods that won't kill you to eat. Also, he needs to stop eating any type of soy or corn. These 2 products which are in almost everything we eat are slowly killing us..soy is even in supplements and that's why I would get so sick when I would take my vitamins(before I found out all this information on GMO's. This might not be his problem, but before surgery and everything else he will have to endure, please ask him to just try getting off the genetically modified foods for 2 weeks. If he doesn't feel at least a tiny bit better, then I've said all this for nothing, but I do care, and I hate to see people going through this terrible disease needlessly. One good website to go to: healingfromgmos.com Please let me know here what's going on with your son, I will be praying for his recovery.

This is what people with rare or invisible illnesses deal with daily and most often from doctors, the very people who are supposed to be helping us. Youre constantly trying to explain yourself when really its no one's s business. People's preconceived ideas about what they think a particular illness is like is what causes so many problems for us. Plus, every person's body reacts and shows signs differently from person to person, so even if you're familiar with the illness, it might not appear with those "typical" symptoms in every person. This "doctor" is an ass. She handled herself beautifully. I don't think he helped anyone understand what she is going through, or helped people understand what it's like to live like this. I think it's incredibly irresponsible.

However, if they wanted to they even could have given her a comp to something at the level of Turturro's part time work. The little I've seen of "dr drew" he's not been so disrespectful, aggressive, rude, "I know it all because I'm a dr., so let me tell YOU what you feel & happened to you". It's very uncomfortable to watch and I really like this actress, she/no one deserves this in your face treatment when you've been invited on a show to educate/talk about your experience w/a certain illness. She's already been through hell, so let's rough her up more Drew, I just don't get his total disrespect of her, cutting her off, not letting her finish a sentence. She'd been perfectly within her rights to stand up and say "I didn't come her to be abused & disrespected drew" so fill my spot w/someone else b/c I'm not being treated this way!". Makes him seem like he could be a sexist jerk too? I've got an autoimmune disease also, Crohn's disease. They're not understood, drs & med profession don't know what causes nor how to cure or even really effectively treat these diseases/disorders & it's sad b/c I've seen drs who take out their frustration over not being able to really treat/cure you ON the patient, it's terrible and wrong! Seems to be probing for a specific negative comment - to bad-mouth CBS and the show's management; she wouldn't give it to him. The teasers and headlines for this story all lead in that same direction. Kudos to Jennifer. I found her quite heroic in picking up on his agenda and refusing to cooperate. Would have been highly informative for an expert interviewer such as the aggressive Dr. Drew to work with Jennifer to probe potential causes and repercussions so the audience can learn more about the disease to either seek medical help or, at least, empathize with family and friends who exhibit these symptoms. (Seems to have some connection with anorexia in that the person fears and avoids the expected pain caused by eating certain, and often unknown, foods.) Shame that CNN chose this topic to try to stir negativity toward a rival. But Jennifer was up to the challenge. Bravo.

He acted as if he knew all because he's a doctor. Many drs. don't know what the hell is really wrong inside a persons body. I feel very sad for her, but the long hrs. on that show are making her even more ill. Perhaps it's best she's off. She said she's pursuing something better for her needs. The best to her.

Blue Bloods was and remains a really good television series. I hadn't been a regular viewer of current television shows since the original DALLAS wrapped up many years ago. And then my wife decided the two of us should "try" Blue Bloods on evening. Ms. Esposito did a fabulous and believable job in her role. Her eventual replacement we've also enjoyed, although I might add not as much as we did when Ms. Esposito was in the show. We're loyal Blue Blood watchers. The entire cast, past and present is first-rate. I sincerely hope that Ms. Esposito will be offered another role in another TV series, or redirect her career to making more movies for the "Big Screen." As for her health issues, we wish her well. Nice interview, Dr. Drew!

Dr Drew seriously needs to check himself - what has happened to once "lovely" person... might think about keeping his rudeness for his other shows!!!!..

Jackie Curatola has never been replaced by any of the other characters they gave as Danny's partner. She will always be the best. NCIS doesn't do her justice.

Dr. Drew seems odd in this interview towards Jennifer. He does mention a few times that he is trying to help the audience relate to what she is talking about. It could have been that he didn't believe it at the time or had misconceptions, I don't know. She is evasive which lead him to insist on knowing the type of blood tests involved. it was an odd interview but they both were able to advocate for Celiac disease and he spoke about an HIV interview he is trying to have the audience relate to.

It happens right at the beginning, when he's exposed in not knowing what leaky gut syndrome is... I think that embarrasses him and so he's seeking to regain his "authority" throughout the rest of the interview. Very well handled by Jennifer!

this guy is such an outrageous fraud, he is not a medical doctor and he exploits addicts to make money... his arrogance dealing w/ this actress is sickening. He has no medical expertise w/ her disorder and he cuts her off and badgers her constantly

celiac is just one of the many things that make lives for millions miserable even though on surface its normal.I just hope society if not willing to understand things should at least not add to the pain.Kudos to her for being a fighter and coming out.
