"I am aware, that I'm surrounded by people who feel that they can do the job better. Strong people, with powerful character. But for better or worse, The Crown has landed on my head"
"You understand, the titles, the dukedom. They’re not the job. She is the job. She is the essence of your duty. Loving her. Protecting her. Of course, you’ll miss your career. But doing this for her, doing this for me, there may be no greater act of patriotism. Or love"
Someone should sit down every person who marries into the royal family and say this speech. I'm not sure what they expect--some cushy cakewalk. They're making a sacrifice and they'll be reminded of that probably every day. If they can't handle that, step aside and let someone better qualified do it (Harry's Wife.)

@@AngriestAlex I listen to this song while playing Victoria II, this game is about the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian Era but extends from 1836 to 1936
Listening to this song again after the passing of the Queen's husband, Prince Philip. Just thinking about how despite so many personal tragedies and seeing members of her family passed away, she will continue putting duty for her country and people first, until the day she finally passes. The Crown must always win. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!
Every time this track starts playing in an episode, you know shit’s about to go down. I guess this is how you make history feel like an epic. Add excellent, goosebump inducing music.
When I listen to this piece of music, I always think of the scene, when Queen wrote that letter to the new queen and the part especially when she said “ The Crown must win, must always win”
I love how this was played in pivotal moments during all 3 seasons so far. I hope it's used in the remaining seasons too because this music is the heart and soul of this show. Personally I feel seasons 1 and 2 had better music than season 3.
I think S1 & 2 is about the start of Queen Elizabeth's reign and how she adapt to it so the music is more about the burden she receive and the growing emotion of her. Meanwhile the S3 & 4 The Queen is completely settled and the season itself is more about the new era, new "real" situation that was going on rather than personal feeling.
on of the best scenes with this score is when young prince philip imagines the crashed plane in which his sister's family was travelling beautifully done
Elizabeth II will be remembered, I believe, as the last great monarch of Great Britain. She had her flaws and mistakes like any human being but she did her duty and she did it well.
In my opinion, as iconic as this theme is, the best version is yet to be released. I am referring to what I call the Suez Canal Company theme [08:23-10:11 of Season 2, Episode 1 "Misadventure"] beginning from when the cleaner was mopping the floor at the Suez Canal Company to when Elizabeth II's portrait was shown [end of Egyptian President Nasser's speech]. I hope Lorne Balfe will release it!!!
Me encanta The Crown es fascinante la forma en que cuenta todo y el toque dramático que aporta, el peso de las desiciones con esta canción de fondo me parece una obra de arte.
I hope they took the hiatus time as tribute to the Queen to come up with a section for the final episode paying tribute to Queen Elizabeth with this song. I can picture the final text saying: On September 8th, 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral Castle at the age of 96 surrounded by her eldest children Charles and Anne. She was Britain’s longest reigning monarch, reigning for 70 years. The final text saying “But the crown lives on!! As it always has!!”
This was actually my favourite series of all time, I binged watched 2 series in 2 days, not sure whether I am going to watch series 3 because of different actors 🧐
It's so worth it! I personally found S3&S4 to be my favourite despite the cast change. It doesn't really take much time to get used to new faces, as the actors were just as good as the initial cast. Watch it, you won't regret it!
Thank you very much indeed. Moreover, the pics selection suits perfectly. I'd like to see editions like this one for every song in the whole serie soundtruck.
Thanks for making an extended version of this song. I tried to play this on ListenOnRepeat but the stupid licensing won't let it play there. I really hate it when companies do that.
2:17 The picture of George VI and Elizabeth - the two stars on the King's uniform look very flat, like they were printed on paper. Especially the upper one, which I believe is supposed to be the Garter star.

It was (in short) a comparitive study of political interference in judiciary systems and the desirability to change the constitution.
