@@MainDeckMasters Colosseum Golem makes sense because both of Skadi and Golem specify that the trigger happens at the start of the step. With High Ether missing that specific text, wouldn't Skadi still trigger first since it specifically mentions triggering at the beginning of the step?
@@BingPG no because turn player still has priority and High Ether just states at end of turn. That would be during the end step. Turn player also is God in terms of priority so you get to decide
Nah even without the X Rares being this good, this is not comparable to set 2 in the slightest. Set 2 was so extremely bad with 99% of the cards. Set 4 is much better overall in card quality. But these magics do suck. But at least we have playables. I can't think of any Set 2 magics off the top of my head that went into decks.
@@MainDeckMasters it would be an interesting thing to review. There’s a few, but yeah 2 was the worst for sure, but this set made me sad, which isn’t what a company wants their consumers to feel.
@@TravyDead part of this set made me sad but im still excited overall. The ascend spirits are dope and the support they got are cool. Currently deck building and I'm replacing like 20 cards in the decks. Might go down a bit with optimization, but there are plenty of cards where I go "hmmm what can I do with this card?" That is something we did NOT get with set 2.
Don't know what to think about this strange recent Luster support that is literally begging you to run a 2cost package when there's only a single 2cost luster in the whole card pool, and blue just got some pieces of removal that would just obliterate this strat out of existance if it ever became relevant enough to top
I don't hate the idea that two costs could be the early game luster needed to finally drop the fabled beasts - I think Bandai are afraid to make Luster playable though - seems like every set we see new cards printed to keep luster from being good
@@kidzurag Personally I'm just gonna play Detective and Macaroni Pentans as my 2 cost cards, use Flower Palace for draw, and utilize Angels and Key of Intrusion early to grab those angels. Then Key can be recurred through Detective and Materielle, or even Clavis, and use Shin, Flagellum, and Michaela as the Luster engine. Airvatah can be used to get the 2 drops back as well.
@@MainDeckMasters yeah that pretty closely matches what I was thinking - although I don't think the deck needs Airavatah - if the two drops are just in there to be early game, I don't think you need to Reanimate them? - I'd maybe be thinking of macaroni Pentan instead
I think we forgot that Dawn of History also had like 30% Magics with low applications on competitive not everything should be seen from a competitive point of view, right? I think its ok to get weaker versions of cards granted that they give us interesting and fun gameplay. Those are my thoughts. Battle Spirits would not last long if the game doesnt find its own casual crowd. :/
Usually winning decks are posted on egman events website but there's no real coverage of meta shifts unless one of us youtubers makes a video on it tbh
Not sure what I want to build more, an angel luster or a respawning purple
¿Por que no los dos?
@MainDeckMastersllc I'm sure I will

This killed me lmao
High Ether feels clunky since your opponents effects that trigger at the start of the end step would happen first. I'm looking at you Skadi.
Turn player has priority on which effects proc first, so Ether gets around Skadi same as Colosseum Golem gets around Skadi.

Yeah they goofed so hard on this set. If the X rares weren’t so good, this would almost be as bad as set 2.
RIP the trees these cards were printed on.

Materielle gives all your 2 cost Luster if it all survives til the next turn. Which is a tall ask

It's gonna be in my early test build and if it doesn't prove its worth it'll be cut for something else
Mind flare could be 1 cost 1 reduction and I’m not playing it. lol

Most of the magics are shittier retrains imo but GOOD LORD the X - Rares have given me reason to live again!
My sentiments exactly. Video on the X Rares will be out tomorrow!

I'm okay with magics that won't see competitive play. My main issue is that many of these magics already have better options or are just uninspired.
Where can I got to get the rundown of the latest trends or meta shifts. Cause RUclips...doesn't have much besides you and kozmo.
