Lower Gabrielino Trail - Switzers to JPL, part 3 | Angeles National Forest

The third segment of the classic Switzers to JPL route includes the Lower Gabrielino. Rideable as an out n' back out of the Pasadena area, the lower Gabe is a very different animal than every other part of the Gabrielino trail system. It's also one of the very few trails in the area that is appropriate for beginners.

Question the place where you exit isn’t the el Prieto trail

El Pietro and Fern trails both intersect the Lower Gabe. So, yes, The way most people do El Pietro means they get dumped out onto the end of Lower Gabe.
