Ed Begley looks so much like my father, who's been gone 60 years.

The recordings that Mr Begley had played were on a different Ive got a Secret. A man with the largest record collection played them. I don't recall the date the program ran. I probably wouldn't have remembered it. But I watched the video of that episode yesterday. Ive gotten into watching a lot of old game shows from the 50's 60's and 70's lately. I really like Betsy Palmer. She has always come off as a really sweet and kind lady. And Mr Begley Sr sure looks different then I expected. I grew up watching Mr Begley Jr on St Elsewhere and different shows in the 70's and 80's. With his wavy platinum blonde hair glasses and tall lackey body.

The potato battery is now a common science experiment done in elementary school science classes. Kits for it are available in teacher supply stores such as Lakeshore.

Dr. Thorp wrote a best-selling book on gambling called "Beat The Dealer", and I remember seeing a paperback copy of it at an aunt's house when I was 8 or so. I'm a lifelong Allan Sherman fan but he added nothing to this segment.

OMG - i had no idea this was done by a kid and only in the late 1950’s. i thought it back much further! holy smokes! 🤓

I notice the departing contestant never shakes hands with the panelists. This appears awkward as the contestant must pass the panel to leave the stage as they would on What's My Line? As they do on that program, I think it adds a lot of goodwill to the show to shake hands when a contestant departs.

i knew who the last voice was, but couldn’t for the life me remember her name. i knew it wasn’t Eleanora Duse and that’s the only name that stuck in my head!! LOL

So reading up on this show. Allan Sherman was one of the original producers but he was fired after Henry Morgan had something of a rant about him on air? Then a few years later, they share the desk? Interesting.

Allan was the bigger man considering what Morgan, Goodson and Todman did to him.

Yeah Henry, with who's dough? That's funny. That system I'd sure like to learn . Math has alot to do with it. Law of problility. Using potatoes ,to power his radio, that kid is pretty darn smart. Betsy is a smart cookie. Amazing to hear the voice of Florence Nightingale, they have the most intresting people . Betsy, wheeee, when she heard that Louie Jourdan was going to be next week's guest. He was a hunk of a man alright. Betsy has good taste.
