Police Bike to Civilian Bike Project Авто/Мото
Great video, Love the extra footage. Glad you enjoyed your stay in our province, I live about 30 mins from Toronto. Fun fact, the support track that the people were tethered to on the CN Tower edge walk, our company curved those, RIMAC
Nice!
Did you get your RT rear seat installed? Curious as to how you got it latched if so. I'm buying the same bike you have tomorrow. Thanks!
Great video, I finished where you stopped with pictures, no video, I reused evey part to finished the whole assembly. The only think that i need is the read grab bars. Not sure how to add the pics step by step
Hi Tom, could you share pics on your conversion of rtp to rt. Thanks.
Ah man I wish I knew you were in Toronto, I'm just a couple of minutes from the airport. Would have been awesome to meet you Brian! Hope you enjoyed your stay here, it's been hot lately. Looking forward to more content with the bike, I'd like to get one some day.
Hi Brian, did you purchase conversion kit or did you fabricate brackets yourself. If so, could you please provide details. Thanks a lot.
Brian, Had an R1100RT back a few years ago, nice bike. Make sure you get the ground wire plugged back in if you remove the fairing or your turn signals won't work! Have fun with it :)
Good call!
Do you still have the bike? I just bought a 2009 and I am looking for the emergency light brackets you have on the front.
so, what's the second part of this video, finishing the set up of the second seat, where do I find it?
Florida requires you to keep insurance on vehicle if you keep the plates. So plates must be turned in first. Don't know how long this has been in affect.
Again I guess it's only folks leaving the State of Florida that can donate - is that how that would work - or do leavers have any obligation to make good with their DMV?
Not true.
Brian, if you don't mind. how much did you pay for the bike. I've been thinking about picking one up for a second bike. thanks for the great videos. very fun.
5k Welcome!
The only issue you may have with that setup is the passenger pegs and the panniers.
PS: Louisiana required to turn in plates. I'll keep an eye out for one.
Was there a police radio on this bike? If so isn't there an antenna mount holes in it?
That whole rear trunk is the "radio box." The top was full of holes for the antenna and the rear light pod. If you look close you can see the white board tape I covered it with.
What did you use for a rear seat?
Hey Brian I have an op to buy a 2007 BMW R1200 however worried about maintenance and repair cost being told to me are high on this bike and does have engine problems why the police changed.. Since you bought one and even worked on awhile.. WHAT DO YOU THINK of the bike over all..? I dont mint the few modifications like seat, I enjoy working on my bikes. GREAT VIDS BRIAN ^_^" I collect plates too.. mostly my own but have from Japan to Texas & Cali ^_^"
You didn't link the Ginger Power video.
On another note, the lady at 19:42 had 2 pairs of sunglasses....
Louisiana -- yep.
It's state law that the seller turn in his plate to the dmv. Can't give it to the buyer.
The 16yr old kid question: So when you buy your first car (new or used), you get a car with no plate (paper temp plate). A few weeks (months lol) later you get a new plate in the mail that will stay with your car until you sell it or scrap it.
You must also turn in the plate if you drop insurance and want the car to sit on blocks in your front yard, or your license will get revoked for non-coverage.
All taxes and fees are associated with the plate. And you re-up the plate with stickers.
But I just looked on ebay and I see some older plates, so they must be out there! Good luck!
So it does seem ( unless you go the buy collector plates on ' ebay' route ) it's someone leave Louisiana who can donate most easily to your 50 plates project. And while we're there check out Hampton Rutland's fine Louisiana RUclips channel - his latest is a nice rebuild of an operating table for his home office use.
There might be other scenarios where you would end up with an orphan plate, i'm not sure. It would explain ebay plates. Thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out!
Brian I can hook you up with some new hampshire plates and I found an old boat licence plate I'll send them next week
cool knife Brian..what is it?
Brian, I wish I would have known you were in Toronto. I live about 45 minutes away from there!
Shoot! I posted it on my FB page about a week prior.
Argh, now I'm having to do Facebook just to keep up with your transient, touristy, travel prone lifestyle ( but I guess that what that service is for). Good to see you up our way. Though first rule is keep your eyes on the road and not on the pit crowd distractions.
briansmobile1 Looks like I better follow you on Facebook then. LOL!
Dude you are real smart!
Dude! How've you been? I've been thinking about you lately. Did you see SouthMainAuto's video from the ETCG meet up? There was an F150 that was shuttering, but not getting worse. Had clean numbers etc. I was thinking it was a torque converter. Curious what your take/experience is on that.
I have been very busy here in the shop with the warmer weather not much time for RUclips. I don't really follow SMA or ETCG but I went and watched it quick. My next steps would be a plug and coil swap with a known good cylinder and watch to make sure it truly was cyl#1 misfiring by checking the power balance on the IDS. I would also disconnect the vac line to the egr and retest before anything else.
Nice visit to hog town and the CN tower . LOL
I got your Arkansas plate, perhaps I can get them sent to you
That would be great!
I will send you my very first plates from my Honda Civic, Ontario License plates " Yours To Discover " what is the address to send it to?

Thanks!
Just a small mistake, Hamilton and area is in its own Greater Hamilton Area (GHA). Though I think they're apt to combine both the GTA and GHA sometime soon and will need another name. Also Hamilton should get some sport franchises it's poor that Toronto has them all.
Drill a hole to access the screws. Barely noticeable.
