It’s actually quite entertaining, they dissect every episode of Star Trek Voyager and Talk about their experiences on set. It’s actually quite good, I can recommend it.

And yes many things in Picard and Discovery doesn't make sense when you treat the last two generation as history (actually they start breaking that with Enterprise), more so with Discovery. But its not an actual history isn't it. It is just a show and what is important for a show is to capture audience. Discovery has certainly done that (not sure about Picard). I remember my ex who is not a trek fan and totally lost when watching Generation but absolutely enjoy First Contact. Discovery is doing the same to a new generation of audience. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to do a cross over to show the new audience where the show came from.
Well, she does sound a lot like (and even looked a bit like) Katharine Hepburn. To this day I don't know why they cast Cate Blanchett and not Kate Mulgrew as Katharine Hepburn in the Aviator.
The cynic in me says Cate Blanchett was (and is) a much bigger name in Hollywood. (She’s very good, actually) That alone has put many, many talented actors in the backlight. It’s possible age played a part too. That’s not to say that I wouldn’t have loved to see KM in the role!
