I have seen tutorials on how one can use a Gourmet Butcher Block to displace and clip most of the "ground placement" objects through other objects or even terrain. Unfortunately, i can't explain in detail, because i have not tried it myself. But i absolutely love your idea and execution. Can't wait to try this myself as soon as i get home.
So i spent better part of the afternoon building and decorating the loft. I used a butcher's block and plate stack method, so the space between steps is slightly bigger. But finally i got there. Even though my loft doesn't look half as cozy as yours. And i may have 'borrowed' your fireplace idea :D One bummer is that you can't place some decorations, like chandeliers on the "ceiling". And i found out that if i place the storage chest on this improvised floor, after i log out and log back in, it gets teleported to the entrance of my plot. It can get really tedious running up and down the stairs to pick different decorations to experiment with the layout of the loft.
I already have so many Palia homes I haven't even put in a 2 story house yet. Been waiting for another patch to come out which will include some more quests.. My character has been there since the closed beta and nothing really left to do. Your idea is pretty cool and I had no idea you played Palia.
That's awesome! Definely recommend the Grand Harvest House. I'm one of the Palia Partners and it is one of the main games I stream on my Twitch channel 😁
I was going to suggest the same... then wondered, if they're not going to be anchored to the wall, would you still be able to pick up the bowl from under the shorter planks? Must try this though. I've been wanting a third floor for a while but none of the other ideas I've seen I've liked as much as this one.
wow! I wish I saw this sooner. It took me 4 days to figure it all out. ? how do you get the add on builds (rooms) to go sideways like you have them .I can never turn mine🤔
@@ashiblink yes, you can but you can't put it in the fake attic that we are building in this video. But I figured it out by stacking some loot chests on top of each other and then balancing a plank over the top.
Have you tried blocking it with the treasure chests? I'm still figuring out the placement to make it fit perfectly, but it's shorter than the pillars and thanks for the idea on the third floor, I tried building a second floor in the hole upstairs, but it's still not looking quite right ;)
I've had this happen recently too! It may just be a glitch, but depending on what you're trying to place, I'd also make sure it's not trying to anchor to a wall or something instead.
Just a warning.. if you build this and then move the room to the back of your house, this all comes down.. or at least it did for me - playing on the switch
Brilliant! Thank you so much for this video. It was driving me crazy trying to figure out a way to build stairs to get up there to build a room.
Thanks so much for watching! I'm sure yours are going to turn out great!
Thank you!!!❤ I had no idea that I actually had to build stairs cuz I thought tish will give me the recipe for stairs
Thanks for watching! Happy to help.
LOVE! I need to get materials and try to build this in my Palia home 🥰

If you notice there are different sizes. For the issue with clipping the wood beams change to the smaller sized planks.

But maybe yo can do it in that way you say😊
Sure thing! I'll let you know soon when that's uploaded.
