- There are many moments in our lives, whether we realize it or not, that our patience is tested. We started discussing this a few weeks ago, and thought it would make a good topic to cover. So here it is, from a friend’s sofa in beautiful Vermont!
Also, if TRID ever did "guchi guchi guchi" on your stomach, I apologize.
His humor aside, it’s clear Trid is very intelligent and wise.
More than people know. I think he speaks like 5 languages.
I like the video version better because here I can actually see trid actually making efforts to make sheena laugh..... makes me smile. Hope you both enjoy an eternity of togetherness, love and laughter.

Patience is MY topic. I have always been a patient person, but in 2012 I really learned to be patient for the long run, when I got sick and had to undergo brain surgery. And since a very crucial part of the entire process didn't work as planned, I had to endure three more surgeries. For about 2 and a half years, I really couldn't do anything I had planned prior to the first one. So, if you have to wait for that amount of time or even longer, being patient will never be a problem for you again.
I support trid in this how can you forget that bagg😭😭😭😭 ok I'll wait patiently

Happy birthday, Jae! It's a wonderful episode. Two points really really hit me today.
One, when Sheena said Jae exercised a lot of patience with himself learning snowboarding. I struggle with the restraint of not getting impatient with my child and I see that now she shows signs of not being patient with herself when she learns or practices something new. I will be teaching her and practicing myself what you taught me today.
Two, Sheena, I saw how you reacted when you found out Trid and Snowbird did a black run. I would have lost it and yelled at my husband for letting that happen because of my own fear; instead, you showed how proud you were of what they accomplished. This really made me self reflect.
Patience is the ability to wait with a good attitude in situations that you have no control over. 😊 When you can choose to or not to adhere to a choice you've made...that's willpower

Watching Zara ski down those step mountains, in that beautiful sunlight, with such confidence is an amazing thing for me to see. I couldn't do. Love how both Jae and Zara maneuver this life with courage and an inquisitive nature. How your whole family blends together makes me smile ...and yes, sound and video is perfectly fine🤗

love the episode :) btw wanted to add the marshmallow experiment has been challenged because the kids who ate it straight away potentially had less trust in the adults to come back and stick to their promise of giving them another. So the experiment possibly represents a correlation between kids trusting adults and the world around them as a predictor of success rather than patience!

The marshmallow experiment is often cited and TRID is not the only one who has missed the later analysis that showed that the kids who were able to be patient had more stable lives. They had fewer adverse childhood experiences and more protective factors than the kids who ate the marshmallow. This is also likely the source of later success.
Patience is still great and good for you, but if you struggle with it, you may have some deeper healing work to do so you can feel peaceful in the unknowns of the world. 💖

Me and Patience is the same as Sheena and Skiing.... I do not want to learn anymore, if patience had a scale from 0 to 100, mine would be at 8% with people including kids, but 90% with fabricating (3d printer, computer, welding, woodworking etc.etc.)
