Hi Karen. Lovely to spend some time with you this morning. Sorry to hear about your coffee bath. Love the idea of using the fabric floats to anchor floss, genius and will be using this today. For my full coverage projects I used to stitch one leg across then back but you mentioned lines and tension in a video when I first started watching you. You advised to complete each X as you go because our tension changes each time we stitch, best tip and has been such a game changer for me and meant less frogging whenever the frog visits. Happy Easter

Hi Karen. I enjoyed stitching with you this evening. Sorry to hear about your coffee spill. The confetti on my piece is high, so I only managed 40 stitches this hour. Still progress though.

Oh no, not coffee!! When I still drank coffee I was so paranoid about that happening I would leave my coffee in the kitchen and not let in anywhere near my stitching spot

Oh Karen, once I spilled hot cocoa on an entire skein of b5200 and part of my wip. I was completely conscious and sober at the time, so I really have no excuse. Oxy clean got it out, so well that I was able to use that skein. And I also go up and down when doing the sewing method. I think it's better for when you complete each stitch rather than doing half and coming back.

What a great start to my day with your video!!! Yikes on the spill but I would continue stitching and clean it up really well after. ❤❤❤

I am so glad I watched your video today! I am getting ready to buy a pair of scientific goggles for myself and my husband, so saving money adds up! Think of the coffee stains as “shading”! Have a great day!

Oh geez. I’ve always dreaded doing the coffee spill😮. Thank goodness it wasn’t Fred. At least if you’re going to start frosty over you haven’t done as much. I love my optics. Changed the game for 25 count.

Yikes on the coffee ☕️ spill. I'd do the same as you. If the fabric wasn't going to be used, just leave it alone. Have a happy Esster.

Good morning Karen. I certainly hope you did not have cream in your coffee. If you did, you are done. No matter what you do it will not come out. I always send my finished pieces to the cleaners and they can get most things out, but coffee with cream-forget it!! I have too learned the hard way too. Since 29:48 you have not a lot done, I would just put it away and restart it. Maybe try to frog it and reuse the fabric after you have tried to wash it in cold water. I’m so sorry this happened to you.😢😢😢😢

So happy to join you with my stitching time. Always a pleasure.
Don't mind your coffee, use some oxi in the washing process, it will all wash out.
I have a question regarding your project 'God shed his grace'. It's 20ct. Easy guide. I just wonder, is it Aida? Zweigart?
Happy stitching and a happy Easter time from Germany

Yes. It is 20 ct aida by Zweigart. Easy guide. The gridded fabric with the grey liines. I much prefer, this over the one with the red lines. Enjoy your stitching journey and happy Easter to you as well,,

I have heard that it takes really hot water and a soak to remove the grid lines. So maybe a cold water blot with a paper towel might easy out the coffee enough to no longer be a thorn in your side. I wouldn't restart it. Good luck to you.

Sorry to hear about the coffee. I wash my projects when they are done with Dawn dish soap. Try dawn with a little oxy clean. Good luck. It happens to all of us!

And you also don’t want to set down a cup of coffee anywhere near where a “flying” cat might land. Completely my fault, the cat informed me for partly covering an interesting landing spot…. Luckily I got soaked & not the stitching… But seriously, for me it has taken really hot water to get rid of the grid lines. Cold water might get rid of most of the coffee without affecting the grid lines.

Sorry about your spill. I hope it comes out.
    I enjoy your videos
Oh yes. About the glasses, what power of magnification are they? When I go to the site from your link, it tells me warning, site may be harmful.

I think the message you get when clicking on the link is a youtube thing. Copy and then paste it into your browser and it is fine. The glasses are made special just for you. They put your eye prescription in the glasses and then the loops that are attached magnify it x2. ..
