Kevin giving Nicki the ✌🏽sign at the end of a epic battle was cool. IMO Spa was the best 24 hour race this year in term of competitiveness and battles.
Kevin Estre is my hero when it comes to endurance racing. Man is just ruthless behind the wheel of a Porsche. When I'm pushing in an endurance on iRacing this is who I inspire to be.
It's like listening to David Attenborough when I watch your videos (i have never watched a single documentary in which David Attenborough is narrating but still awesome video!)
happy to see you covering this, i was there at spa and holy shit estre catching the audi was sooooo exciting to see, getting closer lap after lap, its special being so connected but disconnected from the race while being at the track, had to check live timing every lap to know what was going on lmao
This Channel is so underrated. But i love every new video. Ich hope you make a video about the 6h race at the nürburgring this weekend. A lot of onboards are free to view to. And it doesnt need to be always GT3.
love these races reports in this format! forgot I had subbed to you, then this video popped up and I was like "what the hell is this?!".. then I remembered! yay! POV mega racing commentary!! x
Love it! You should do a video on how the BMW won the race despite being a slower car around spa (based on what the commentators said). Keep up the great content mate
I just realized that I used to watch your lap guides some time ago, but have been watching all of your recent videos without realizing that till now. Keep up the great stuff bro!
I was at the race again this year, it is magic and this battle was astonishing to see trackside, Estate’s charge in the final hour of the race was hugely impressive. It is honestly the best 24 hour race on earth for how close and furious the racing is and how good the access is for the fans.
Thats amazing, it must have been so awesome. I agree, spa 24 always has the hardest fighting of any 24 hour race, even the lapped cars put up a huge fight 😅 It takes such a massive effort to do well
this is why i love gt3 races far more than F1 these days. a lot more exciting and battles untill the finish line. not to mention how close these cars seem to be all the time.
Lourens said on his podcast that the car had a quicker pace without the diffuser. It was understeering and oversteering with it, but was only oversteering without the diffuser.
I was there for the most part of the race throughout the night with just a short nap in between and you could always see ven Estre was in the car, not just was he the only Porsche driver hugging the righthand curb up through Eau Rouge, he was the only one in the entire field of 70 cars... and eeeeeeevery lap he nailed that corner, even close behind another car... so impressive to witness this even from the outside
Great analysis! As much as I would like you to go back to iracing, these have put endurance racing on my map. I appreciate the amount of work you put into these videos. Thank you!
I remember listening to Vanthoor's podcast in which I think he said losing the diffuser gave them a little more sharp front end, which in overall made the car feel a little better, despite the looser rear end. I think he also mentioned that due to the slightly understeering nature of the new 911, they had to lift a little more often through Eau Rouge than other cars, especially behind someone. Just wanted share some interesting insights for fellow racing fans :)
Kevin Estre is one of the best racedrivers of his Time . I love this man's driving . Also wtf are these drivers doing actually trying to kill Porsche's Chance for p3 ?
Awesome video as always. If the endurance corporate guys knew better, they would pay you to make videos for them because they could get new fans with videos like these.
After the #98 made that pitstop under that FCY for the Mercedes that stopped at Eau Rouge, the win was off the cards. However had it not been for the contact with that Imbecil in the #777(or other Mercedes I don't remember and honestly don't care) a podium was almost a guarantee given how bloody fast Kevin was in the last stint
The camera position means that they can't properly expose the shot given that half is interior and the other half is exterior. So the interior is too dark to see properly and the exterior is over-saturated.
If you've ever driven a GT3 911 on IRacing you know how treacherous Blanchimont can be. The car just wants to go around. Can't imagine wrestling that thing around the track without a diffuser.
Are there no rules on defending under blue flags? I know that you dont have to come off the racing line, which is fine but I feel defending should nto be allowed
Doesn't have the same prestige as other 24h races like Nurburgring? Le mans ok but Nurburgring no sorry. Here you have all the best Only gt3 drivers. Making it the biggest and best GT3 24h race in the world. I've heard clients talking and compared spa to Nurburgring and although it's a world of difference spa keeps them awake all night. I've been to both and from a non driver point of view they are insane. As a pro photographer they are both insane but spa is the only track (eau rouge and radillion) that all this years still stops me to look and be amazed.
By prestige I guess I meant name recognition. No doubt in my mind that the competition at spa is equal to if not higher than N24. It just seems like people I know are more familiar than N24 than spa. Must have been incredible to photograph those races though. Either one is a bucket list event
@@GroovedSlickwouldn't mind at all, they way you present the scenes for the battles is top notch each time. Would love to see you cover an LMP2 or GTE Am battle to see the difference in driving mentality between the pro and am drivers. In the meantime, you got yourself another sub :D
Good stuff 👌🏻
Always a pleasure 💪
I could say the same about you and your grello teammates performance!

Kevin giving Nicki the ✌🏽sign at the end of a epic battle was cool. IMO Spa was the best 24 hour race this year in term of competitiveness and battles.
that was such a great moment. You can tell they have so much respect for each other after all these years of battling.
Kevin Estre is my hero when it comes to endurance racing. Man is just ruthless behind the wheel of a Porsche. When I'm pushing in an endurance on iRacing this is who I inspire to be.
He's just mental. I jump in the 992 on iRacing and do the same
aspire to be btw (very good comment tho)
Babe wake up! Grooved Slick just posted
🤣
Fantastic analysis and commentary! These videos have really made me appreciate endurance racing a whole lot more.
that makes me happy to hear!
The audi had my respect!! They was so strong and good 👍
these commentary videos are spectacular. love em and wont miss em
1:31 that tiny hesitation so he can get the best exit possible and make sure he doesn't reach the BMW before the ensuing straight. Good stuff.
It's like listening to David Attenborough when I watch your videos (i have never watched a single documentary in which David Attenborough is narrating but still awesome video!)
🤣
19 minutes watching, is more exciting watching one whole F1 race of these days!!!
Thanks for the good stuff mate!!!

that must have been incredible to watch. Being at the race you feel like you are part of it, not watching it. Amazing
I love this race track. The races are always fun to watch.
This Channel is so underrated. But i love every new video.

the issue is wec copyright claims the videos even if it’s just onboards that you can find on RUclips
@@GroovedSlick Is it already part of WEC? I thought it was VLN

One of the coolest videos I've ever seen here on youtube!
Thats very kind, glad you enjoyed!
This is THE BEST racing channel out there bar none

Really enjoying your endurance racing content.
I think the Spa 24 is better than Daytona. lol
Another good video mate. Really enjoying your commentary over the race.
that transition on 3:36 was MAD
Great video man, love the commentary and appreciate the time you put in making them!
this is why i love gt3 races far more than F1 these days. a lot more exciting and battles untill the finish line. not to mention how close these cars seem to be all the time.
Mans got Estre watching his vids 😮 u made it bro 💪 like normal incredible vid!!
Been watching GT racing since I say the GT America series in Nashville, but your videos have made me fall in love with IMSA. Great content man👍🏼
That Nashville race looked awesome, glad you're enjoying the videos!
These videos are incredibly well done and i look forward to seeing them posted. Thank you for the effort you put into this.
smooth transition at 4:43!!
this video is perfect. please do more racing analysis!
Thanks, really appreciate it! I'm cooking up another 🍳, hopefully it'll be out in the next week or so
Lourens said on his podcast that the car had a quicker pace without the diffuser. It was understeering and oversteering with it, but was only oversteering without the diffuser.
Those guys are just insane, 99% of gt3 drivers would have probably wrecked with that much oversteer.
These vids are must watch!
Thank you Grooved Slick, let's go 🎉

Haha told you the grello was going to be the car to follow last week
why this onboard cam quality is bad? İn the 24h NBR its look great. I think SRO cant doing broadcasting
The camera position means that they can't properly expose the shot given that half is interior and the other half is exterior. So the interior is too dark to see properly and the exterior is over-saturated.
If you had watch Michael Fessbender Road to le mans , camera angle showing half interior and half exterior. But there’s no problem like that
Hey i really like your channel. Can you do more onvoard stories like this? For example the 2021 spa 24 iron kynx ferrari
Thank you! I'm basically at my limit right now unfortunately
Btw what are your thoughts on assetto corsa conpetizione
The name is Greeno not Grello
"Not as prestigious as Daytona24" If Daytona could get half the attendance of Spa24, it would be a great year.
9:53
*No penalty?!*
yeah they got a penalty for that
Do you actually race cars or do you do sim work only?
I raced in the Jim Russell series back in 2015 with their Lola F3 car, but thats my only real world
can you make a video about raffaele marciello ?
if I can find some good footage
"Can you make a video about mid"
CAPTIVATING. Please keep these video analysis of endurance racing coming! Thank you.
Gounon really struggled considering their car was really fast in general
That's Greeno ☝️☝️☝️ not Grello

Manthey was dumb for letting Julien andlauer go on super pole instead of Kevin estre
not enough speed for the ROWE BMW!
