oh no no,,,,another overhaul video,,,,,,,,what??? i had to watch every minute hahaha,,,,rachael has such a clear and educational video, that i have to tune in!!! HAHAHA,,,ive overhauled 11 engines over the years,,,and it never fails, that if i watch, i will still learn lots from her every one!!! Thanks a bunch!! Bill from alabama 78 years old here and still learning,,,,best wishes
It's so heartwarming to see a father and daughter working together, especially on a mechanical project like this, which is very rare for girls to be proficient at, yet this woman seems to be very knowledgeable indeed. God bless you both as you set a good example for future generations.
Oh my gosh !😮 Finally a video that tells you the right way to build these engines! To many times you here how much trouble these engines fail. Especially the head gasket issues! My Dad always said there's got to be something people are doing wrong there.Because Ferguson made it seal & work at the factory so there's got to be a way to do it correctly! A big thanks to you and your father for making these videos!❤ Have a great day you two !😊
Wow! I had wondered why you haven`t uploaded in awhile. It`s good to see you back. And a one hour video at that! Woohoo. I really enjoy your videos. I`m dedicated and commited to watching the whole thing. I hope you guys have had a good summer.
I agree I've been watching him and his daughter ever since I came across there channel. I even have some VHS tapes of Dan on how to rebuild your Farmall H or M and how to paint your tractor
Her knowledge is amazing I'm in love with her because she knows so much from all the videos about tractors. Dad should be extremely proud of her. Rachelle I love you ❤
I like to see more people like you doing up tractors like these rather than the new tractor and you do a very good job and you don't cut corners, As I like the vintage tractors myself specially massey vintage tractors
Have you all ever considered a video(s) showing how to add external hydraulics to various makes and models tractors. This could be for aftermarket front mounted pumps and valves. I do realize that the pump flow would be limited compared to modern tractors, but the added value of accessories could be huge.
You Guys are great. We would have far less problems in the US if more fathers were involved in what their children were doing. My NH tractor is leaking fuel into the oil...about a quart in 6 hours of hard bushhogging. I suspect I at least need to replace the piston rings but while I am at it, I would like to change all the seals that separate oil and fuel. Can that be done without separating the engine from the rest of the tractor? Thanks.
Nice job covering this topic. I was waiting for you to explain the process for replacing the timing gears on these engines and how the block is stamped to indicate the size gears needed - standard, undersize or oversize. Also where can you get these gears in under or oversize as I can only find new standard size gears.
Congratulation for your videos and for great information. In this time I rebuild my own MF 135 with PERKINS AD3-152 engine and I want to know if this two types of oil is suitable for me. Are they?
The TO20 and TO30 apparently do not use the same filter although the filter will fit in either engine. The TO20 filter flow is from the inside out and the TO30 is from outside in. AGCO makes the correct filter for the 20. Have you heard of this unique situation? Thank you and I enjoyed seeing videos on Ferguson equipment.
Im trying to fidure out what i have TO-20 or TO-30 the engine says Z120-800 with an X under it ? Hope you can help,Thanks I was told it was a TO-30 but i just want to know for when i order parts ,Thanks, You guyz rock!
At 37:42, I would clean the surface of the fly wheel with brake cleaner before you mount the brake pad. At 47:15, I would not go with cork- they leak in time!
Note that the TO30 gas engines are notorious for coolant in the oil -- often due to debris getting under the piston sleeves when built, less frequently block cracks. TO20 and TO35+ engines did not have this problem.
Funny fact. My late neighbour buy MF 135, stuck engine, so it was really cheap. He take clutch open and there was bolt fallen in and hold tightly there. Remove bolt and engine was like new. He used that tractor ten years until his death.
I’m rebuilding a Continental f140. Can you explain the correct procedure for setting the crankshaft endplay with the shims. The service manual is not very clear.
Wow I have been waiting for this video forever, thank you so much. one question, the piston sleeves do not have to be bore out once you install them to fit the piston in? They are finished sleeves? I have a leaky TO30

Great content, but honestly, you butchered the install of the piston rings. Gouging the side of the piston with the rings all over the place lol You just willy nilly let the pliers go with the rings anywhere and the scraped them into the grooves lol not good... At least uts just a low HP/low rpm tractor motor. Should actually take the time to line them up WITH the pliers and let the rings go when they are lined up.
You are both rock stars!!! Congratulations to dad for raising a truly outstanding daughter!!!!
I no longer own any tractors, but I enjoy watching your videos! I wish something like these were available when I had my tractors.

You always do a nice job hitting the key points, and you have given me confidence to tackle projects I would normally shy away from.

So happy we stumbled onto your page about 5 years ago. Just bought a Ford 850 and we’re currently going through it and fixing it up.
I used your videos (and your parts store) with shop manuals when I rebuilt my 1950 Ford 8N. I’m happy to see that you are still making new videos!
i love the videos you's used to make, missing your vids Dan and Rachel, i been wanting to get an old tractor to do up.

Glad to see your back at posting videos.
You made it seem simple.
Also I’ve brought four ferries and every time the back tyres have been rubbish. Yours look in good condition.
What a great presentation. Both of you are great teachers.
I have a Z145 in a 135 that I’m about to do some work on. Thanks for this!
Thank you both for the video, I enjoy watching the process
Yay! Its good that you posted a new video. Very interesting little engine, especially the governor.
I wished I knew at least as much as you may have forgotten over the years! Most informative!

I was almost thinking about buying an old tractor up the road and using your videos to help repair it if need be. 😢 Somebody beat me to it.

The video is very helpful. I plan to rebuild my MF35 in the next couple of months.

Hi Dan and Rachel, excellent video, thanks so much very informative! Do you know how to prime the oil pump on the "50 massey ferguson te20?
I think you two are incredible
It's been a while since you've posted a new video. I'm gonna grab some popcorn.
Congratulation for your videos and for great information. In this time I rebuild my own MF 135 with PERKINS AD3-152 engine and I want to know if this two types of oil is suitable for me. Are they?

If you have any you should do some videos on Farmall Cubs. Love all you videos though!!
Rachel has a book on Cubs
I have that one that is signed by her. Excellent book.@@stevecobb7844

Such clearly presented videos, thank you for this.

Can we have a video on rebuilding the to-30’s hydraulic system?

Do you all have videos on replacing repairing clutch on same tractor?
Wow I have been waiting for this video forever, thank you so much. one question, the piston sleeves do not have to be bore out once you install them to fit the piston in? They are finished sleeves? I have a leaky TO30
Question: can the Massey TO35 support a loader and or small backhoe? Or do we need an aux hydraulic pump for these?
brilliant content , keep up the good work
Good information about the tractor
Can i get the oil pump off my petkins 4.236 grom the bottom without removing the timing covet?
Fabulous video, thank you. 😊
Well lets see how bad i screwed up lol. I did mine earlier this spring and haven't really needed to use it since.
Does this tutorial cover the F162 & F163 in Lincoln SA-200s? I realize that the F series are flatheads.
Will a Perkins 4cyl fit in my TO35
There both roughly 60 models
Any info will be appreciated
Thanks!

What is the difference between a TO35 and a TO35 DELUXE?
Any thoughts on liner protrusion?

Very very informative thank you very much
But how do I change my fan belt on my Massey Ferguson!?!
Love your videos!

How do you set two stage clutch on a to 35
I noticed you failed to check the ring end gap in each cylinder.
