@VePedraPan i promise you on 30# Flourocarbon this knot won't even cinch down. It will slip every single time. This knot works for thinner line the Alberto works on every line I tried it on.
@@DilettanteDon maybe yea in that case, I only use thin line and thin fluoro for jigging zander and it works fine with me, I needed some fast knot to tie cuz I snag a lot on rocks and branches

The braid would easily slip through this knot. This is basically an Alberto knot tied backwards, with the mono over the braid rather than the braid over the mono. Tied the other way, with wrapping the braid around your thumb would be a much better way to do it.
@@pescadorestamora because the loops off of the thumb will not come off one at a time as you show in your video. They all come off the thumb at once, and then it wads up into a tangled mess.
There is probably something wrong with the pulling part, you are pulling the back part of the fishing line so that it doesn't come out completely through your thumb
Might be the fastest way to tie it but it's not the best way if your trying to teach new comers to a stronger braid to mono knot... Anyone looking for a better version, I suggest looking into the Alberto knot, that is if you can't tie the FG knot
The whole video starts off with him, placing the fluorocarbon tag in between his fingers, but without allowing us to know whether it is passing through or around the braided loop. Terrible oversight.

Wondering if it makes any difference if the fluorocarbon line is on the outside or the inside of the knot. I have seen this knot tied both ways.
I think the fluoro line on the inside might be thinner, but as for durability, I can't say. Because I have never tried
