Why would you get a rasberry pi to mirror your screen instead of downloading the game on your mac with Parallel as example?

All this for a vnc server? Kinda sad brap you have like 18 levels of virtualization here you fumbled through. On an appliance you haphazardly built with an ssh server running.
parsec is different from vnc but it also requires an account and can be shut off at any time, the only thing i could see the pi being used here for is pivpn (i plan to do something similar on my network so i can access my homelab remotely)

@@ShoobsTubeit's not that difficult, just re-install if you messed up. Besides, you already used Docker in the video, which minimize the possibility of messing up the main system.
@@ShoobsTube its not too bad once you get the basics down. i've been on mostly linux for the last 4 years with only one machine left on windows, most of the time linux just works and for me its been incredibly stable, only crashing when there's a hardware fault of some kind

Hoooo boi. I've been attempting to teach myself basic electronics lately with 1 simple prompt, "How to light 7.5 meters of 12v LEDs." Omg it's so much more difficult than I thought. Trying to find all the info has been the hardest since I only knew I needed a way to power them, wire, and a way to control it. I thought I could use a 9v or AAs... noooo. I need a full on power supply that you see in 3D printers. But, if this works, it's going to be an AWESOME UFO

Editor lied, you don't need to be on the home network to use parsec nor is this any more secure. If you do absolutely still for no reason want to use the VPN setup, you could've just installed a VPN service on your desktop directly instead of using a raspberry pi. Could be something like a wireguard service or something more modern / user friendly like tailscale or zerotier. All would've done the same thing and saves you a ton of effort, money and complexity :)
