    This soup has kept generations of Polish and Russian people alive for decades. (We don't use brown sugar or olive oil. You don't need it.) We add chopped celery & potatoes. When making actual stuffed cabbage rolls, we add a rutabaga and parsnips to the pot, along with chunks of potatoes and chopped carrotts. If you want to roll them, boil the cabbage first, with a splash of vinegar added to the water. My Polish grandma taught me that the vinegar removes the gasiness from the cabbage. You can't taste it, and it seems to work.
    Enjoy! ❤

    How can you call that a soup it's a stew

    • @mattimatkalainen
      @mattimatkalainen 9 месяцев назад +1

      A stew must not boil. A stew is suposed to only simmer. Old saying: "A stew boiled is a stew spoiled".

    That sounds delicious, but that pan is very old aluminum scratched and pitted I'm guessing. that old aluminum releases toxins in your food.

      That pot has probably been around longer than many of the people watching this video. You aren’t getting any ill effects from using it.
