That bathroom didn’t need a remodel, but it looks fantastic, well done.
My favorite remodel channel on youtube, you don't sound like most jackasses who work in the trades
lol thank you! Should I start acting like I know everything and every method other than mine is wrong? I want to fit in
Can't agree any more
@@WorkinwithWolkon if you wanna be obnoxious go ahead 😂
@@WorkinwithWolkon what is the name of the tiles used in this video? Where can I find it?
Jesus Christ. Working in the trades in the past, I’ve not heard truer words ever being spoken 😂😂😂
Fantastic job! What I really appreciate is that you include all the names and color of paint, caulk, and grout.
Thanks!
I like that you paint behind where the vanity goes makes it look more professional even if you don't see it
Me too, it is weird to leave that part unpainted.
your remodeling content is fire my man. thank you for filming and putting this all together.
Thank you for watching!!
It's sleek and gorgeous! Amazing work.
Excellent video. The time-lapse was very professional. Watching you open up sheetrock made me miss that. I am filming a 123 year old renovation that had lath & plaster, and that stuff gives a workout.
Another quality reno. Great attention to detail.
Looks amazing! In Norway we usually tile everything but the ceiling! We usually have tiles everywhere, not just in the shower sone. And heated floor is not a luxury here, everyone has it, because we live on the North Pole perhaps, but it's so worth it no matter what!
Norway sounds like it’s doing things right!
Beautiful! Fantastic job!
This was an absolute incredible remodel. You did a fantastic job. Thank you for putting this video together. So glad I found this video. This is the exact remodel I've been wanting to do in my bathroom. Sadly, I don't live in the Toronto Area. If I did, I would be calling you for a bid.
Another bang-up job Liam. You're truly talented. Enjoyed the video. Thanks
Tbh in my opinion it looks as good as the beginning. I liked the first mirror more than 2 separate ones.
Beautiful job! Always look forward to seeing your projects.
Thank you appreciate it!
Beautiful as always! Love watching your videos right before tackling a project of my own. Today's is little (replacing old kitchen drawer slides with new soft close full extension). Thanks for the motivation 👍🏻💪🏻
Thanks and good luck!
24 and Just purchased my own home a few weeks ago and i want to remodel my restrooms i love your videos gives me ideas. Subscribed and liked!
Incredible clean & sleek bathroom! Bravo!
Thanks!
Beautiful work as always you have motivated me to do my bathroom remodel. A renovator told me $3,500 but Im gonna give it a try wish me well.
You did another great job! Keep it up.
Really great finish 👍
You did a great job AGAIN!!
Best remodeling work ive seen! Jeez wish you did travel work! Stay blessed!
This man is perfection 😍 & his work! 👍🏼
Thank you!!!!
Nice bathroom remodel
Wow that end result is beautiful! Great job man
Glad you liked it, thanks!
Great workmanship as usual
Thank you!!
as usual, a job well done 🫡
Thank you!
nicely done... job and the video!
Man great job! I wished you were in Vancouver. My bathroom needs this 😂
This one definitely looks the cleanest! Wouldn’t mind hiring you to do my bathroom if I had lived closer to Toronto .
I’ve literally got a bathroom rebuild starting tomorrow in Melbourne, Australia on a rental, wish you could have done it! It was going to be a remodel, but I was at the property a few weeks ago with the builder and the foundations are crumbling also, so I decided on tearing it down and starting again.
Thank you, and that is truly unfortunate
U did a great job 😊 watching ur videos is so relaxing and also very informative. Thanks for the amazing video. Have a nice day 👍🏼
Thank you have a nice day as well!
@@WorkinwithWolkon Have a awesome day 🌅
That was my offer to stay at the Texas ranch house. Never heard back tho? Anyways, funny to hear it in the video ; )
Haha thanks! It may not have been you specifically, you’d be surprised at how many emails I get like that lol
I try to always reply but unfortunately my time is getting more and more restricted so sorry about that!
digging your channel. Love seeing attention to detail. Do you mind posting a short video on how you use the soapy water and popsicle stick caulk method you mention in every video, I am curious (I'm sure I'm not alone). Keep up the great work!!
Awesome job
Looks amazing, you are so handsome. I have been fallowing you since you renew your room. all the best.
haha thank you!
Amazing
I love your videos
Great job!!!!!!!
Fabulous!
Nice video!
I'm glad I found this channel. I wish you actually showed more detail work instead of speeding up with video all the time. I know this isn't a "how to" video but still would like to see more detail work.
Thanks! Moving forward I plan on producing more content, some of which will continue to be in this current format and then some which will be slowed down and more detailed. It’s hard at the moment as I’m just one person and this is still relatively new to me
Your work is incredible!
Do you spend any time working to get the shower wall studs flat and plum?
You are supposed to use a GFCI outlet or receptacle for the ones above the vanity
I love your channel! New sub your work is amazing and I love your work ethic and attention to detail. I wish you were in Delaware to help remodel my house 😢
Thank you so much Cassandra!!
Your videos make it look so easy, yet it hasn't worked out as effortlessly for me in the past. Anyway, what's the total height of your flooring build-up? We have our plans for an addition and I'd like the bedroom hardwood floor to transition flush into the bathroom tile. With 3/4 flooring, will the tile be higher?
Most large format tile is around 3/8 thick. Ditra is 1/8 thick. Then another 1/8-1/4 worth of thinset. So typically ends at around 3/4 or maybe slightly less. The hardwood floors in this house were 3/4 and my tile ended up within 1/16 of them
Excellent Job. Question: The tile used for the floor, is it the same as the walls or was it a lighter color?
Love the video! I got so many tips from you!! Are you able to share the type of tub you installed?
Not sure unfortunately sorry
Love it
my friend you are the best you job are fantastic you hand is gold and you look good person thanks .i am starting to do this job i will leave warehouse job but i don’t no from we’re i start first steps?
Wow brother what a talent I would like to do something like this
Thank you!
Love the work. Always looks great. Question: what boots are those? Like them?
Thanks Dakota
Excellent Job!!! Could you please identify what brand/model was the bathtub you used...?
It’s so weird seeing a wooden floor/sub floor in a bathroom. Here in Australia, every “wet floor” has to be concrete. My 1972 brick house is built on 2 foot brick pillars has a crawl space under the beams and wooden floorboards, but the laundry room and bathroom have a concrete slab on top on the brick pillars, which form the floor of each room.
I have seen your makeover adding bathroom.. do you offer plans and supplies need? Ok did relook at the video I now see you opened the floor but made it very easy for plumbing
In any larger project (relocation work or addition) I provide a 3D model to my clients to help visualize. I also provide them a complete list for what finishing materials they will need to supply
Excellent job friend, very professional. One question, how long did it take you to remodel the bathroom?
thank you description/endofvideo
How long did this project take you? Do you work alone? Nice job bt the way !!!
a note about the conduit running the sensor wire for the floor warming. Does the inspector not mind that cable entering the electrical box? because it is low voltage (some codes say low voltage should not be in the same box as 120v), I see some people running the conduit to the outside of the bottom right corner of the electrical box.
Great job and love the attention to detail. Is the cost listed your cost or what you billed the homeowner?
Thanks, homeowners all in price
Great job. Does your cost include labor & materials?
Thanks
Thanks! Yes that price is everything
GREAT video mane what tripod do you use?? I may get a go pro or something i would make videos like this i just can't find the work
Just a basic tripod off Amazon
I found getting the ball rolling to be tough but now I’m booked months in advance. It takes awhile to get steady work
Your work is awesome! The homeowner probably could’ve saved a little money because the bathroom wasn’t bad.
Just needed the tub/shower area and floor done in my opinion. The bigger mirror would’ve looked amazing with some back lighting.
Also lights.
Please tell me you do work in Oshawa?! If so, we'll be coming to you for all future work lol. Just entering the 9th week of our bathroom remodel (same layout as this one but shorter and narrower) and the entire experience has been rough and will end up costing more than yours for less work.
So wish I had seen your videos before starting our remodel 😵💫
I’m very sorry but unfortunately I do not. 9 weeks for a standard bathroom remodel sounds awful I’m very sorry that happened to you
@@WorkinwithWolkon I appreciate the response. I'll just keep learning from your videos then and do what I can myself! Cheers
I live in a time capsule house in Mississauga, just in case you want a challenge :)
Hi do you prefer plumbers putty or silicon for your bathroom sink drains ?…thanks
Not gon lie, the bathroom before was just fine.
What downlighting product did you select for this project?
I live where it’s all slab for foundation with no sub floor. I’m assuming that just fixes where my plumbing is?
i should move to canada.
Great work like always brother 🔥🔥💯👍🏼
Thanks!
nice work! but you should waterproof the bath and then add the bathtub, that way its waterproof even it the silicone fails :)
Thank you! I’m a little confused at what you mean, there’s waterproofing under the tile that bonds directly to the tub flange
@@WorkinwithWolkon i mean you should add plaster board the the section where the tub will be. waterproof everything and then ad the tub :) if something happens to the tub flange then there is no water barrier behind and under the tub.
Question: will I save money if I remove fixtures, etc by myself? I assume the labor costs take up a huge chunk of the budget? I have no problem getting dirty but have zero knowledge beyond demolition 😂
Just fixtures? Absolutely not. If someone were to completely demo a bathroom as well as dispose of the material however I’d probably take $800 or so off. But that would be assuming they get it to a clean slate which I doubt that they would (eg is the subfloor completely clean of existing thinset and staples, studs free of old screws, etc)
what tub did you wind up buying and did you have to put a mortar bed under the tub?
what tiles did you use here? i like them
Sorry I’m not sure
Wow
Do you prefer Kerdi to Red Guard? I am looking to remodel my bathroom but I'm not sure if Schluter is worth the price.
To me it’s worth it as I hate how heavy and messy cement board is to work with but it’s all personal preference. For my next tub surround I’ll probably try kerdi board
@@WorkinwithWolkon that makes sense, I appreciate the insight. Thanks for all the great videos!
I was interested in your comment about hiding the junction boxes in the walls. In the US that is against code. Is that true in Canada too?
They need to be accesible to meet code
@@WorkinwithWolkon Good. It looked like you said you would hide it in the wall. That worried me. We've found so many hidden junction boxes in rental property remodels. So we had to work on those.
WWWAAWWW!!!!!🥰🥰🇲🇽
what shower head combo kits do you rec? with hand held also
SR sunrise off Amazon is good for the price but if you want a handheld with an adjustable bar or different settings you’ll need to spend a little more
Are these costs of the materials, or is it the cost you'd charge a client? Find it hard to believe it costs 18K CAD of materials there
18k is all in
Do you provide the material or just labor??
Is the 2nd bathroom in the same house? If so? Then cost the same $17,000 making it $34,000? Is this correct? Wasn’t this bathroom less work? No walls built? No need too cut open the floor? Tile work and ?
The addition was much more expensive, I think maybe you’re confusing the Canadian dollar amount and the US?
What did you use to record the video?
What’s the name of the tile used for the floor?
How deep in the wall should the shower valve be?
Depends on the valve, you’d have to read the instructions. With most though if you take a 2x4 and mount it flush with the back of the studs that gets you the required depth
What brand of heated floor you use?
Any way you have the name of the tub used in this one?
Do you ever start demo and think “shit, I’m in deep on this one.” ?
The real question is do I ever start demo and not think that
If a customer were to do their own demo work how much would that effect your pricing?
It really depends on how good a job they did and also if they disposed of materials too. If they demo’d to the standard I did and also disposed of everything I’d take 1k off
@@WorkinwithWolkon thanks for the info. im a soon to be first time home buyer and am looking into potential remodels, i dont have the skills to do anything beyond demo but figured i could at least do that to get a better understanding of how things are constructed and maybe through watching videos like yours i can move on to picking up the skills to do my own remodels.
@@Spiritus. good luck!
When remodeling these places, do the owners give you free reign to be as creative as you want, or do they generally have an idea already of how they want the place to look.
No unfortunately not :(
For larger bathrooms where there will be some layout changes I typically create a 3D model for them with some different options but as far as finishing materials go they pick that themselves
@@WorkinwithWolkon oh I bet that sucks but it still looks very beautiful
@@cryssyyxxI think it's better they pick out the materials so that they can't blame him if they don't like something.
neither of the metal boxes look like they have push in bushings to protect the romex
im not intoronto but id pay you to come to ohio lol this is beautiful
What brand/model is that sink faucet?
Moen not sure what model
Were are you located
Don't bury your junction box above your door way as in most towns it's against building code.
I’m an electrician, it’s legal where I am. Needs to be accesible
Is that 18.5K with labour or just material cost
All in
I will never understand why those dropdown soffit sections ever got popular. I can understand if you had the old-style huge can lights, but if you don't then wtf? Oh you want LESS space in your bathroom or kitchen for absolutely no reason? Can do!
how much did you charge for this bathroom here?
