I've been collecting manga for a few months now but getting manga (physical/print) is nearly impossible where I live, it's so frustrating. - I'm definitely getting a kindle, I'll keep my collection digital for now. I'm going to keep buying physical/print for the series that I've started tho.

I realize this is a year old video but I still wanted to comment! Recently I’ve been getting into anime for the first time in my life at 21. I was initially scared as a teen of getting made fun of by family and other people. Now as I’m older I’ve been really enjoying it and have been wanting to get into reading manga. I just recently purchased a kindle paper white in the agava color and got some stickers to decorate it with from my current favorite anime (fruits basket). I’m still waiting for it to come in but I was super excited to hear that you can read manga on them!
Ahh that’s so exciting! I hope you get to discover a lot of great manga series. If you’re a quick reader, definitely look into getting the Kindle Unlimited subscription. There are constantly series getting added for you to read.

Yes, the Kindle makes for a very comfortable read.

I had no idea about Kindle Unlimited having manga - that could save me a fortune. I'm also happy to see people posting this stuff in their 30s as I'm 42 and don't know a soul who reads manga 😅

Where to download one piece for free and send to kindle
Kindle purchases go through Amazon. Unless they have it available to rent with a Kindle Unlimited subscription, there’s no way to read it for free on the Kindle.

Hi, would you recommend the kindle Paperwhite for Manga or is it better just buying a tablet?
It’s truly a matter of personal preference. Some of my friends have opted for a tablet instead of a Kindle because they wanted to play mobile games or draw on a tablet. You’ll be limited to just reading with a Kindle.
i just upgraded to the 2021 (6.8 inch screen), because i found my old 2018 (6 inch) difficult at times to read manga without zooming. Hoping the extra real estate will help out.
My physical manga collection has too many missing volumes I kinda gave up buying more manga.
6 inch screens are good for most mangas, and it is also pocketable which is nice!
Yes, it's very compact and great for traveling. I often take my Kindle with me whenever I fly because I don't want to be carrying around a lot of books.

You're very welcome! You can really save a lot of money especially since publishers love having sales on their digital manga.
I hate the idea of not having a physical copy. But this seems viable because of the cost-effectiveness. I wanted to get into American comics but boy was I disappointed. Even comics that literally came out 4 months ago are unobtainable unless you want to pay double or triple the price. So I was strongly considering going digital. What is a good device?
In terms of device I would suggest checking them out in person so see what feels the most comfortable to you. As you saw in this video, there are three Kindle models and I know some people that have purchased the Amazon Fire tablet to read. It just depends on your needs and what feels most comfortable to hold and on your sight.
and that for comic you get a good starting piont at all of want to read comic of character cuz the comic have too many stories that all over the place unlike manga that one story with no re-boots of the main charcter stories.

Have you had any issues with your Kindle? I am thinking of getting the paperwhite 2021, because I can get it for 80 bucks, had a hard time deciding between the kobo Clara hd and the Kindle paperwhite 2021

I have a Kindle Paperwhite 7th gen and it sucks to read manga on it. Zooming in and out is so inconvenient. I prefer my iPad which has a bigger screen.
I personally don't mind the small screen but yes, zooming in doesn't work as well as on an iPad.
How is your experience with the 6 inch screen i am planning to get a libra 2 which is a 7inch screen so you think it will be more comfortable?
I personally haven’t had an issue with the 6 inch screen. I prefer a smaller screen myself but it’s all a matter of personal preference.

@@ripdeyu you have to buy the manga through Amazon or Comixology. Then with the Kindle app you’ll be able to sync your purchased manga with your Kindle device.

Do not do it. I did a comparison with the most modern ereaders and paper manga. All of them did suck. Washed out blacks/greys poor contrast and unsharp text. Since images being displayed is a totally different beast from just rendering fonts from an ebook. Stick with tablet and read in properly lit environment, while adjusting the colour of the backlight for more pleasant experience. Real paper of course reigns supreme and everything else is just a substitute. I hope the eink tech will improve more but patents and low sales make me pessimistic

I don’t use a website. The manga is from the Amazon Kindle Store.
Does it group them all together? Say I buy all volumes of Demon Slayer, does it show each individual volume in your library or does it show Demon Slayer first and all volumes within it? My OCD would trigger me xP
It will group all the volumes you’ve purchased for a specific series. You’ll see the name of the series in your library and once you click on it you’ll get all the volumes you’ve downloaded.

I am not familiar with the Kobo Sage readers at all. I personally like the size of the Kindle a lot.
I just got the kindle and the kindle unlimited but i’m confused so the plan doesn’t let me read all the books like manga sweat and soap or it’s limited to certain books? 😭
Kindle Unlimited is basically a rental program. You’re only able to download and read titles that have Kindle Unlimited for no additional charge. It’s usually the first few volumes of certain series that will be available for “free” but the rest of the series you will have to buy.

Interesting. I haven’t used my regular glasses since switching to the blue light blocking ones. I guess I’ll keep using them since I’d rather not deal with headaches.
Manga in Kindle basic is so blurry.Resolution is very low my eyes starts hurting after reading 5 minute.Is this problem in my kindle or every basic user suffer the same?
I think it might have to do with how the manga itself was digitized, bc that issue also came up with an older manga I wanted to read in my Paperwhite which has a high resolution. Especially when I zoom in it becomes blurry and you can literally see pixelation. On a 300ppi screen. So that leads me to believe the scan quality of the original paperbacks wasnt that great.

Do you pay for these mangas? Or are they free to read in kindle?
Kindle Unlimited offers manga to read through subscription or you can do the free trial. Otherwise, you have to pay for series. I buy manga through this because they have discounts.
As someone else already replied, the Kindle Unlimited subscription does offer the chance to "rent" titles that have the Kindle Unlimited logo on top. Otherwise you have to buy each volume but there are constantly sales on manga on Kindle.

You don't have to do anything other than buy the manga through the Kindle store on Amazon. From there the manga will automatically download on your Kindle device since it's hooked to your Amazon account.

Hi how many manga can you store on 8gb?
I don't know the exact number. I believe with regular books you can store up to 6000 on an 8gb Kindle. With Kindle Unlimited you can borrow up to 20 volumes at a time.
