Hy mate, nice to see you working on your car with your father. He definitely cannot deny that he originally came from Switzerland. My aunt, 94 yo, and family (husband and my 2 cousins) came to Australia in 1965 and still has her German accent. She lives in Stanthorpe, Queensland, and I visited her twice 2013 and 2017 before the coronavirus came. I will try to come back again next year. So take care and keep on going ✌️👍🌞🍀

Mate, next level service there, need to step up from my simple oil change, water levels check. Special being able to work with your Dad too - I know that accent from having lived in Europe for a few years!

Relevant and topical as usual , cool dad. Did you have to clear codes after changing oil ? Have 2014 mid roof transit , recent buy and fitting out , thanks for your videos, very helpful and good luck with the site .

Didn't have to clear any codes as it didn't prompt to service. Im not entirely sure they do. I do remember only ever having to clear the codes once for a brake change. I always carry around an OBD-2 scanner though just incase.

Thanks for quick reply , one final question, hopefully, trying to find a Ford (transit) scanner and not having much luck , any suggestion ? Many thanks again for your time, your site has it all , best travels,Baz.

@@barryjohnson8673 They have an OBD-2 port so any ODB-2 scanner should work. Some are better than others and will gibe you more codes ad descriptions on the code

Nice work on the video mate
A lot of people appear to unnecessarily bag out the Transit vans for being unreliable and tend to favour Sprinters or Hiaces.
You obviously have one and appear happy with it - is it just a matter finding a well cared Transit and upkeep of servicing?

Thanks 👍 yeh I think it’s the older transits pre 2014 that get most of the flack for unreliability and engine problems. The newer models we have found are epic

I thought to screw in new oil filter by hands only?

My car has the torque setting written on the top but it's a click in type with a plastic lid, not the can type shown in the vid. It opens with a large socket I bought as an extra to my tool kit.

Hay mate how are you going im doing pretty shit at the moment we went and had a service at ultra true darwin and had a fuel leak just before pulling In we had to wait a week to get a part up from WA cos there is no ford transit parts in darwin the rubber seal inside the fuel filter cover had gone but when the mechanic put it back in she said ohh I may have cracked something me not really listening to her cos I was just so excited to get out of the after living in the carport. Do you reckon you could ask your dad what he thinks she cracked because we have fuel passing out everywhere from above the filter now and we use 60lts of fuel to do 11km I thought he might know just so we can get a heads up on what part we need to order so we do t have to wait around for so long this time thanks heaps Adam
