Im familiar with Eckhart Tolle. Ive faced challenges all my 57 years. I must make myself happy but the constant challenges make it difficult to stay in the present, not worry about tomorrow. Im very worried. I need peace in this life.

@@thehorsebackheroine5950 My fiance died in bed 3 weeks after getting a home. Im on unemployment. Cant pay rent. Being evicted. No help from family. Living with PTSD due to waking up and realizing my man was dead next to me all night. Eviction is scary when theres nowhere to go. So... Lots of problems to deal with alone.
@@fayeharmon4639 I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved. I hope you are now (9 months later) safe at home and warm. Being displaced with no where to go is indeed very scary, especially for women (even if they have a vehicle to sleep in).
I know all too well the stress of dealing with many of the larger problems of life simultaneously and dealing with them alone, with absolutely no one to turn to. There are many people who do not understand that a lot of people have absolutely no system of support (some of us never have). Some of them even blame and/or judge those who have no family or friends during hard times. Not everyone is capable of having compassion or empathy. I'd say they have denser pain bodies than those who can understand and empathize (they are not "at fault" though, it's just where they are).

what a load of bs. always talks about challenges and problems never can clearly identify solutions, just mumbo jumbo. "if you deal with them correctly, come to acceptance that make you more conscience". Just goes on and on about bs and people love it. The human race has very low iq in general and cant see clear manupulation such as this guy. Just goes on and on about sad stories but his solutions are not there, you have to find peace, consciousness. lol. look, accept, give attention, but its a thing and in a few seconds you dont think yet you have to behave in the correct manner the one he cannot clearly point out how.

6:27 I never expected an Eckhart Tolle video to remind me of a quote by Maverick in the original Top Gun:
"You don't have time to think up there. If you think, you're dead."
As I reflect back on the life I had, i realized I had about less than 10% moment that I fully enjoyed life. 90% or more is about challenges that I consider as sacrifice.
Today, even if I only 1% joy but the purest.... I will be truly grateful. Such moment is a glimpse of heaven.

I had a challenge today and it was getting ride from someone negative and unconscious all the time with ignoring him...but after that i had thoughts that says you should be aware and afraid from him because what unconscious human can do but until the time maybe it will never come. I'm now watching some of your videos thanks for each one and of course thaks to our God 🙏
I wonder if suffering is actually the key to the shift in consciousness. Eckhart himself had his own change after deep suffering.
Like my father says "you can't experience the good without the bad". Wouldn't you agree? I mean we have emotions for a reason, right? They help us teach something.
suffering is the way to enlightenment. If we don't learn it in this lifetime, we have to come back here again to learn it a different way

Such an imoortant issue, to stay alert and stil, when situations come to solve, challanges, and sometimes just leave it as it is. Much bettter than to make more troubles. It is true, very much consciousness arises when challanges come and go and when I suffered loss of something! I still remember a sense of liberation even thou I losst almost everything, except myself. So powerful experience for whole life for me. Eckhart is speaking the truth.

I have to remind myself not to stress myself more by judging how well I’m able to put into practice these suggested spiritual principles. There is no such thing as perfection and at least I am better able to recognize when I’m causing myself more suffering by resisting/not accepting things I can’t control. When I am able to do this I create less negative drama for myself. Wishing you increasing moments of serenity.

There is a greater need to reflect upon Eckhart's words now. Given the challenges each one of us face amidst the pandemic. A million doctors can alleviate our physical pain. Restore health. Only Eckhart can pull us out of mind-created suffering and restore harmony. 🙏🙏

The ego seems to be programs set up by our brain through our understanding of how the world works, I would say that when our ego is making things seem worse, it’s because we either can’t or won’t be responsible enough with what egos we create, and they get out of hand. One way to detect bad ego creation is if one day you think one thing about a particular subject and the next day you think something else about the same subject.
And to dissolve the unhelpful egos is to be present with them, and they dissolve, you kind of ground them in reality and your brain sees that they’re not useful anymore and stops using them or changes them. Just a theory, but it works for me 😁.
It's one thing to experience the ego. It's another thing to identify as the ego.Identifying as the ego will always end up creating suffering, and the suffering will escalate until you either die or you surrender to the reality that you are not the ego, which is the first step to enlightenment. There is no way around this.
@@danmoord375 experiencing ego is not all suffering its roller coaster but even it is - its only human life time.. its nothing in universe life time perspective.. if we having benefits of this earth life ego game in the bigger picture of beings /not human/ but by enlightening u can hack the game and make it easy...

The precarious nature of an economics based culture is the source of this being's most frequent challenges. Financial based interactions are kept to the convenient minimum possible. Consciousness flows... Contentment and gratitude prevails.
I think you could also apply "losing" something to situations where you choose to "let go" of something (say old thoughts patterns) and depending upon your awareness/consciousness at the time of doing so, you may fill that void or as Tolle calls it "opening" with either negative or positiveness.. OR because there may have been a healing, then the opening needn't be filled in as much as the opening is now mended.. Such a wonderfully helpful video. I thank you Eckhart!

I think thoughts are like looking out of a window and seeing a brick wall. No thoughts breaks down the wall and we can see everything.

@@MindNow I don't really like the term mindfulness because I'm trying to do the opposite. I put into practice most of Eckhart's suggestions. Predominately just being the witness/observer of the thoughts, works for me. The image of the cup and two faces. You cant look at both of them at the same time. So I practice turning my attention, to just watching the thoughts, even asking myself " I wonder what I'll think about next". Helps me to quiet the mind, become present and feel connected to everything. As indeed we are. I hope to use my mind when needed, and turn it off when I don't.

My fiance died 3 wks. after getting an apt. I managed on unemployment. My lease has ended. Im being evicted. No family is helpng. No where to go. I have a cat thats my baby. Im going to have to put him in a foster home. Have no idea what im going to do. My mind tells me, Ill be living in my car. Hard to think positive and stay in the present. I have to just accept what it is.
Oh dear. I'm so sorry for that Faye. No words can definitely change that situation. The only I can say is to surround yourself with positivity! I have never been in your position before, but I can say that if you are surrounded by negativity, you won't get far. However, positivity is what will get you very far in life. These are just words...I know and losing someone close to you is painful so embrace that sadness and eventually you will be able to accept it. I just want to reassure you that you are NOT alone

How do challenges make you more conscious? Can someone please answer this question?
What make you more conscious is the way in wich you respond to the challenge, its not the challenge itself. Our mind react to every situation that she doesn't think it's good. When challenges arises we have the oportunity to observe that reaction and be aware of it. Inside every challenge exists the possibility of "broken" mind pattern and consequently open space.

Its duality, you dont grow and evolve with positive experiences in life, that's not how it works. You grow with challenges, encountering difficulties, pain or suffering. Humans have been conditioned or deluded to accept only the good stuff and resist the bad stuff. And according to the functionality of how this universe operates, things in this world operates in a system of duality, things have to balance in life to serve a greater purpose . If we were truly living consciously, then we weren't supposed to depend on duality( good and bad) to define our true essence. Since how we were conditioned to resist only the bad stuff this tend to creates suffering( suffering means to live in denal with what is) and that suffering in turn forces you to become more conscious. The harder you resist the things you think you dont like, the harder you suffer and you will reach that point where you will have no choice but to become aware/ conscious of them and accept them for what they are. Normally people believe that positive experiences will only make them conscious and in a True sense ol negative experiences are what bring more consciousness and awareness. It's a test from the universe to see if will you become conscious even if you experience negative stuff or will you be conscious only if you encounter positive experiences and most of the time we become more conscious with challenges rather than positive experiences. ❤
Does anyone have advice for a teacher with non acceptance in students? Like students Constantly complaining and refusing put effort in their school work. I’m not really sure how to navigate the whole ‘this is so boring’. I’ve tried different things, but I’m starting to feel it’s coming from within them, or I can’t compete/ make lessons as stimulating compared to video games and iPads.advice appreciated 🙏
don't know how it is for you but boring can be restlessness or peaceful either way the present moment is as it is that takes care of everything.

That doesn't sound right. I thought that if you just are and are at peace, you can do that eternally. Isn't that what we call Heaven?
In this dimension, the conscousness increase through challenges. Eckhart makes a parallel that I thinks interestanting: for your body to be muscular, you put weigths and do exercises. The body develops phisically trough this process. Ina similar way, the weigths used for develop the body are the "challenges" in wich consciousness develop. I hope it helped you.
