I definitely know on an intellectual level that challenges are necessary for growth in all aspects of life. The difficulty is being conscious when challenges arise. There are many paths to the top of the mountain and all lead to summit eventually, and when we reach the summit, the view is exactly the same for us all,, its only the journey that differs 🙏🙏🙏🙏

If you fly a kite you raise it against the wind. At first it crashes a few times bc the wind changed direction or was too strong or not strong enough. Once you manage to get it way up to a highest level ( provided you have a super long string) the kite will stay up No matter what.
Great metaphor for raising our consciousness.
I find it hilarious how Eckhart just loves talking about the pitfalls that present themselves in Life; he seems to find the drama funny...however, I get it, the pitfalls make your stronger; but he sure finds it funny knowing what people will encounter...he gets this little look in his eyes; pure mischief...lol

Thank you Eckhart for this message. It’s a very challenging message. These days, I’ve been feeling powerless and tired very often and I really want to continue the fight of this life, but sometimes I think I’m not able enough to make it. Your videos are often like a straw to grab when I’m sinking.

Eckhart is telling people to give up. He is rich so what does he know about reality in today's economy.
@@obscurum6 it seems that you haven’t listened to enough of his teachings. To give up in this context means to surrender and to give up thinking about the pain. If you concentrate on the now, you can forget about yesterday and tomorrow for a while. And the present moment is normally very pleasant. Even if it’s not pleasant, you can try to accept it. Nevertheless, life is challenging.

So you think it's profound and spiritual just to pretend that your past didn't happen and that the future doesn't exist so you can pretend that nothing can affect you and so you can feel a false sense of safety and run away from having to deal with any emotions and problems. 🙄😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
And the gratest part of it all is when we are truly lost during a challenge and as a sudden magic moment we perceive ourselves- "ahh, right... I forgot to be aware, to pay attention...now I see it". Unfortunately it happens mostly when one is almost going insane, but it does! And it's wonderful, empowering. We can walk through fire. We once more know we can go way beyond.

"nature will eventually take everything from u anyway, so u may as well give willingly."
Gosh this is so true.
So why achieve something I would rather sleep and do bare minimum
I remember somewhere reading about trees being grown in a very large greenhouse. They flourished and got really tall. Then one day they just fell over and died. Seems without the wind blowing them the roots never grew strong enough to support them.
I think about this whenever I'm facing a stormy day.

I’m smiling as I listen to this while taking a break from a strenuous, complicated project I’ve started. It didn’t necessarily need to be done. I could have hired someone to do it. But I wanted to do it myself. Now I see why. Namaste.
How many times in my life I have observed that after fulfilling a certain goal or a certain task I feel so much satisfied,elevated and brimming with joy and enthusiasm.

Energy can manifest in many forms, such as physical strengths or consciousness.
You challenge yourself to create new experiences. If you don't challenge yourself, life will challenge you.
When you challenge yourself, it could be conscious creation, or unconscious creation (sufferings caused by conditional mind).
You are a significant contributing factor to reactivity.

I have been experiencing many challenges lately. Mentally, physically, and listening to your videos as I fall asleep brings me happiness. I have been so unhappy for years altho I seemingly have the perfect life. I am beginning to accept it as you have said . Once you accept it and don't dwell on it so much, it just is what it is. Its life and it isn't going to change so mise well live it . Thank you.
If your life situation doesn't suit you, you have 3 options says ET: Change it, remove yourself from it, or accept it totally. Everything else, like complaining, is madness.

I DO create my own problems. Then I experience guilt/shame. So more painful drama follows.

The best state I have ever been in is when I am aware of being aware. I am the consciousness that observes and experiences the world and I feel I am in the world but not of it. It is absolutely perfect. But I am not able to remain in that state all day long at this point. It is a bit absurd since it is what I really and already am... 🤔

Meditation is the realization of doing.... Thank you for this understanding. Easy life is earned and not a life of no challenges. Meditation is the realization of *Being* Its *NOT* a doing as Eckhart said it. Maybe you meant to be aware of the fact that meditation is not doing but being. ... Mediation means being conscious being Present. Its not sth you think of doing with the mind.

Eckhart says you need challenges and sometimes the past challenges you in the present by its effects, so the past does have power over the present. Eckhart is contradicting himself in different videos.

Am I the only one that when I see Eckhart Tolle, I remember my first books as a child: " Tintin sur la lune, and Tintin au Tibet." They look the same to me. Tintin was my hero and Eckhart Tolle is still now since I saw his book "The power of Now" when I was waiting in line to the cash register to pay for other stuf I got. I went to the book like my life dependent on it, I had to get it. I start to read it while I went back to the end of the line and didn't mind. Eckhart Tolle and Tintin looks alike to me in every way I look at them. Same beautiful face.🙂

As I am listening to Eckhart Tolle people with leaf blowers are moving what makes autumn beautiful to a "better" location. Two of them around my house. And I want them moved.. like they are moving the leafs. And I smile. We exist for the sole purpose of making thing "better", moving things around to fit a temporary need. This is why we suffer. It is the meaning of Karma, the suffering I bring upon myself. The way out is chosing not to, but instead taking a moment realising I am only the top of the iceberg and nothing is ever out of place and get a head phone, so I can listen while I do my chores.. Headphones: your ticket out of the wheel of samsara.
