Preparing and manufacturing a top hat - Tebis CAD/CAM

The magician's hat held by a wooden hand was the accompanying exhibit for the joint Pokolm and Tebis event "4.0 - The Magic of Digital Manufacturing" in September 2016. An actual top hat and a human hand were scanned, the surfaces were imported into Tebis, and the parts were milled from aluminum and wood. The hat, weighing 1.5 kilograms, was carved from a 37-kilogram block of aluminum.
