I also have a number of those “Margie Anderson, etc” budget label recordings.. genuinely really love that Hong Kong, London, Haiti, etc series of songs and I initially heard them on a mixed instrumental/vocal record supposedly featuring music of the 1930s and credited no artists. I always felt they sounded too much like Pearl Bailey not to be her.
