City of Alamo Heights: Freightliner Heil Formula 4000 Rear Loader Garbage Truck

- Welcome to Alamo Heights, a small upper class city located near downtown San Antonio with its own public works department.
Alamo Heights is an area in San Antonio that I have never managed to film. They had been on the back burner until recently when I finally decided to check them out. Alamo Heights is one of four areas in central San Antonio with its own city department, the others being Castle Hills, Terrell Hills, and Olmos Park. Alamo Heights has a total of four trucks, including two mini M2 Pak Mors, a mini Kenworth Pak Mor, and this Heil Formula. Garbage is manual while recycling is carted and the city is split with one half of the city having Monday/Thursday trash and the other half having Tuesday/Friday trash. Recycling for the entire city is done on Wednesdays. This heil is the spare truck for the city, however it runs every Wednesday on recycling. I decided to see if I could find it running one day on recycling and I did just that. The old heil body paired with the old Freightliner and that slight deep growl gave this truck a pretty classic feel. You can expect more footage from this department soon, hope you guys enjoy!

My dad used to be a Garbageman for city of Alamo Heights, he use bring me home stuff to take apart. He works for city in 80s and 90s

Freightliner FL-70s & FL-80s RLs are the best. God I miss having them. City of Philadelphia Used to Have a bunch of them The cabs were white with a blue & Yellow stripe. The McNeilus Body was always grey!
