For teams in the east just staying mediocre basically guarantees you will be in the play in minimum cause there are 5-6 teams that are awful. Dame was still under contract for 4 more years so he had ZERO say in where he could get traded. But Donovan will have all the power this summer to decide his fate. No team is gonna give up a haul for a player who says they don’t want to be there and can leave in free agency the following year. So that means NY, Brooklyn, Miami, and LA will be the teams gearing for Donovan if he requests out this summer.
