China is renowned for its porcelain products, which overshadows our historical reliance on lacquerwares before the mass production of porcelain. Sadly, many Chinese people I spoke to don’t know exactly what lacquerware is.
You may be surprised that lacquerware is still produced in many places across China, represented by cities such as Yangzhou, Beijing, Fuzhou, Chongqing, and others. The list can be quite long. When I searched on RUclips, I realized that there were no videos introducing Chinese lacquerware from a real-person vlogging perspective, so I decided to create one.
And I'll start with the one that's closest to me, the Chengdu lacquerware factory from my hometown.
