I strongly agree with the kep1er being on queendom 2, they are just rookies who debuted 6 months ago. They will gain fans much quicker if they make more comebacks and go on more variety shows. It was a bad idea to let them compete with other bigger groups that debuted a long time ago.
I think Aespa did well in Coachella, their stage presence wasn't the best but much better than usual, people just need to give them time I was pleasantly surprised, can't wait to see what they can do in the future, especially Ning Ning and Giselle (Giselle really surprised me like Girly understood the assignment) A minor getting hate is a massive reason why they shouldn't debut, nobody's saying it's their fault or justifying it but no, underaged idols shouldn't debut, not just for hate but for plenty of other reasons, just because it's been happening for a while doesn't mean it's ok... I've literally never seen anyone reply to a hate comment about a minor with "this is why they shouldn't debut" people.always call them out for bullying children.
aespa ate their Coachella performance up. the mics were on, we heard their actual live vocals and their stage presence was MUCH better compared to their previous performances and deserve atleast some praise for it.
i think the reason why people say minors shouldn't debut when they get hate is not because their age is the reason why they're garnering hate, but more because they are too young to properly deal with it all. even adults can barely deal with all the hate they get while being in the eyes of public media, how do we expect literal children to cope the same? idols like leeseo and yuna and wonyoung and riwon can now never know what it's like to grow up while being a middle school or a high school student because they've been subjected to fame from a very influential age. this can also lead to basing their worth on popularity, and constantly overworking so that they can surpass their standard each time. plus, some of these idols might be the sole breadwinners of their family. it is so unhealthy and stressful for a kid to be responsible for their whole family's well being, even if they earn millions to their name. all of this on top of dealing with hate? it's absolutely awful. the problem here is that we cannot stop minors from debuting, nor can we stop people from hating. it is a very flawed system that people of age can barely deal with, never mind minors. both sides of the argument are valid and all we can do is pour our love on to them and let them know that they are appreciated.
So many MOAs who would get mad when people say Beomgyu is the center of TXT and I don't know why. He was obviously treated as TXT's center from the very beginning. There official standing position literally has him at the center from debut until now. He would also start the song's intro and end with him at the center. Some MOAs would get furious when you say Beomgyu is their visual and center and say "TXT has no positions", yet call Yeonjun the main dancer or main rapper, and Taehyun as a main vocalist. Not saying they're not talented, but plenty of MOAs despises the idea of Beomgyu being their center...
YES! people don’t understand the value of the group. they don’t understand the pressure or chance of success of being a soloist. not to mention MOST of the time, the stans saying this are overlooking all their faves weaknesses and overhyping their strengths.
Actually, why does kpop definition of stage presence matter?? Singers are supposed to sing not make facial expressions and stage presence. Aespa did that. Many western artists also don't have stage presence but they do their job of singing at coachella.
@@gia42472 stage presence does matter when ur doing performance based songs that is why k-pop is different from other genre...they train for everything not just for vocals...but Aespa did pretty good ... ningning ate the stage🔥
@@sharu5837 but it's not kpop. It's coachella. Coachella doesn't need stage presence. Many artists perform and just sing, they don't need stage presence. Stage presence means attracting audience and aespa did that well with their vocals but kpop has different definition of stage presence. They think it's about hyping the crowd, screaming on top of your lungs, facial expressions and all. I haven't even seen single western artists pulling out facial expressions. For them stage presence is just vocals, lyrics or rap.
i think most ppl were mad bc aespa has no stage presence, havent performed in front of a real crowd, and they def should have had more experience to have a better coachella performance and before going. but the opportunity was given and taken, and i think it will definitely help them in the future. as for their vocals, id say winter ate it up and ningning was unstable at times due to her stamina but they can still sing and have a phenomenal vocal line, but we knew that already. i still dont think minors should debut. its getting annoying now, thts why i can wait for ygngg cause yg is holding them captive til theyre hags (joking) but no seriously. there are way too many 13-14 year olds debuting and its definitely not normal, and i honestly cringe at there being little girls in these concepts and videos a lot of the time. them getting hate is just a cherry on top, its terrible and theres no excuse for it. kepler on queendom2 is a mistake, they should have bonded more, promoted more, and prepped for their next cb, esp with how competitive 4th gen ggs are getting. wakeone set them up with that one. also sucks cause i love xiaoting, to me she is the best center of 4th gen easily so it sucks what theyre NOT doing right.
As a blink I was proud that another group such as them or 2en1 or even solo artists like Jackson were able to perform. They all did great and that's just facts. If they didn't meet everyone expectations it doesn't mena they didn't more than well. The only time I had strong thoughts on someone deserving something was when TXT didn't win song of the year with 0x1 lovesong and not because I'm a moa, because at the time I was a casual listener, but that song was widely loved and that doesn’t mean that other songs weren't good, but looking it as just a song and all the things it has achieved the freeze album and the title song were on top and rightfully deserved song of the year, even if they won mv of the year.
aespa did amazing at coachella, ofc their stage presence still needs some work but that's when you compare it to other kpop groups, and people at coachella didn't compare them to other kpop groups, they compared them to the other performers at coachella, compared to which aespa did amazing
Aespa did do well in Coachella, however, SM should've done much more with the stage to bring out the hype. And really the only members with good stage presence that day were NingNing and Giselle.
2:52 to be honest, I don't really like solo singers that much. I mean, I would support my faves as solo artists (like I support Taemin and love his solo career), but I actually prefer groups. It is such a obvious thing to say, but groups are powerful because everybody has a stronger skill, so they can be stronger together. AND, what I think is the strongest part of groups, the behind the scenes and general entertainment content is better.
I think the “no official positions” trend is stupid and pointless. It only makes any sense if everyone in the group is pretty much equally good at everything, which virtually never happens.
I think positions can and should be changed if they’re outdated - e.g. if Jihyo has improved her dancing enough to be worthy of being a lead dancer, JYP should make her position “Leader, Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer”. That’s very different from having no positions. I think it’s a stupid TREND, albeit not necessarily a stupid IDEA. Because it doesn’t really make logical sense to act like, say, Gowon and Heejin are on the same level. That feels like it’s wrongly setting up fans’ expectations for the idols, and also tbh kind of lying to fans. Groups can do things that don’t really make sense AND still be successful - the overall success of the group is besides this point. And also, I don’t think TXT and STAYC would be LESS successful if they hypothetically had positions. Some groups are more even all across the board, so it makes more sense for them. But others, where there are some members who are clearly better at some things than other members (either in terms of overall talent or in specific areas), just seem like they only have “no official positions!” to fit a trend and have no other reason for it.
But there's no reason to give positions to some groups, like TXT, all members are good in every position and their company is, based on what they produced, ready to change up positions, it's not like one member mostly has chorus, the other one bridge, like f.e. in Twice. Some of the members are stronger in some areas (like high notes, and rapping), that's true, but the other ones can improve and change that (not so long ago Soobin said he now takes singing lessons to take from maknes the burden of high notes and Taehyun works hard on his dancing skills so Yeonjun will not get that much, if it's gonna work idk, but Taehyun indeed has his dance solo in Opening Sequence). And the center change frequently, I don't think there's enough gap between members to rank them and they want to be unique, and that's ok. Fixed positions is good as it make you noticed the strengths of some members, but sometimes it's unnecessary and for sure strange
@@klaudiaflis i think it makes more sense for a group like TXT, where roles ARE fluid and where the members ARE relatively even in all categories. However, I think it’s stupid as a TREND, because if it’s a trend, you get groups who clearly do have fixed unofficial roles and gaps in levels of specific skills still saying they have “no fixed positions”.
I agree with the Kep1er one a lot. I am doing my best to support them while they’re on the show but I knew as soon as they were speculated to be on Queendom 2 that it would be a waste of time. The fandom is new, the fandom is fighting amongst each other, and the group obviously has next to nothing to choose from when it comes to performing their own songs. I’ve been hopeful and saying “well hopefully it’ll grow the fanbase” but I don’t see it happening. I’m enjoying Queendom 2 but I can’t help but feel like the girls would be so much happier working on their own while they have their limited contract. It would be different if they were a permanent group. Overall, I’m hoping that they enjoy their time on the show regardless of the result. I’m hoping the fandom stops fighting each other soon.
a lot of people in groups would shine better as soloists but i don’t see the point in degrading groups? like it’s cute to see their group videos and performances i like it one of my most controversial opinions though is that kim taehyung in BTS would do better as a soloist. obviously i don’t want him to leave the group because he fits in so well and i love him with the group, but bighit hasn’t used him as well as they should even though he’s one of the most popular members. i remember looking though color coded songs and he has like. 1 line but somehow it’s the most iconic. he really shines in everything he does with stage performance, dance, and vocals, so i think as a solo artist he could have a better chance to display his talent because bighit gives all the lines to the rappers and jungkook, jimin too
Surprisingly this is true. Tae is a baritone and his voice isn't really fit for pop so he shines better in his solo works that tends to be jazz and ballads. At first I was unsure about him being a soloist but the success of his ost despite having no promotion proved a lot and the fact that blue and grey (the song he wrote) debut so high on the billboard charts. I'm glad he's still in bts but I do know that he will be a successful soloist.
AESPA ATE at Coachella and it's a FACT. BLINKS (not all but majority) are SOOO Toxic that I had to leave the fandom after what they said about Aespa performance. I will always support AESPA, 4 Talented ladies who just wanted to debut and live their dream not get backlash for being BORN. I stand by what I said PERIODT.
i honestly feel like groups that don’t have positions just causes fights among fans. when a member is the main vocalist officially, there may be some people disagreeing but for the most part people accept the positions because they aren’t gonna change. when there isn’t a main vocalist, all it does is cause fans to argue about who the best vocalist is and fight about the non existent positions. i get the whole concept of not giving fixed positions so that idols can grow and change, but i feel like the fans ruin it by just arguing about it forever
That's what i think as well, obviously there might be fights even if groups have fixed positions, but most people tend to just accept the positions, but if a group has no positions whatsoever then that gives everyone room to claim which member should have which position and this almost always ends up causing some kind of fanwar
aespa’s performance was absolutely amazing. I was hyped and excited watching them perform. The vocals were completely insane and they were having fun. It’s funny because people define stage presence as the artists having fun on stage and then aespa does this yet it is not enough. Anyways I don’t care, this reminds me of the ‘twice can’t sing’ but twice has a fantastic vocal line and have improved tremendously. Even if aespa improves they will nitpick and will continue to blind themselves. In conclusion, aespa ate the stage, I enjoyed the performance and I would definitely go and pay to see them.
I completely agree with you on kep1er being dragged into queendom!! like they just got off a survival show and ESPECIALLY as a temporary group they need to be working on much more important things
For the center one i agree but sometimes id like them to change it so other members can shine especially if they have the ability and for the loona one i agree bc its also a lot more beneficial bc if they change concepts it gives room for other members to shine and bring in more fans it also shows a groups diversity as for the winning thing i agree unless there is rigging like with dreamcatcher they should have won but scores were tampered with.
i find it so weird how blinks r trying so hard to prove that aespa flopped at coachella like the days when the crowd was "dead" it wasnt like that for their performances only
I enjoyed Aespa’s performance. They did not deserve the hate they got .. but I mean everyone knows it’s just toxic fans trying to knock down another group. And for the girls themselves to get harassed is uncalled for. Sadly idols have to face the ugly side of social media these days. The trolls and toxic fans are just out of control. And every group faces that… it’s not just Aespa that has to deal with that crap. People in general just need to grow up and support their favorite groups without being toxic and trying to knock down other groups.
Aespa weren’t bad but weren’t good either. Coachella is a festival you should remember, and their performance wasn’t memorable, it would’ve been way better if they were more experienced but SM is definitely trying to make them the 4th gen blackpink or even trying to surpass everything blackpink did. ( exemple on how they said aespa was invited by Coachella to perform « first kpop group to be invited on the main stage » or bla bla, when they literally paid 88rising who were the ones invited. ) it’s just really embarrassing nothing else.
I agree,I didn't even knew about Coachella until bp performed.but people and sm need to stop comparing them to bp .And appreciate them for having the confidence to sing live in front of the big crowd (especially Giselle and Ningning)
I think the girls really did redeem themselves. People set up the standards really high because bp did it better, because bp has better stage presence, because bp hype the crowd blah blah blah. I think it's unfair honestly to compare them in the first place, aespa debuted during pandemic and had least years of experience with crowds, of course bp would do better. But let's not forget that proved everyone that they are much better than that plus singing LIVE just to break the prejudice around them that they can't sing live. At least with that, we appreciate their efforts.
One of my opinions is that when fans of Iz*one or ioi make those edits of how sad they r because the group disbanded cuz they will add their current group like Ive in th beginning and then play sad music over pics of Iz*one. It just makes me kinda annoyed after a while lol.
I think if mnet would have selected groups for road to max they would have been partial we just know that.... the groups selected now are all considered as nugu .... no difference in their fanbase
as a blink AND my, I think æspa ATE at coachella and it's really just people hating on the girls because "æspa has no stage presence" has become a general opinion.
i kind of disagree with the aespa opinion, they performed really well and handled it super good but the way it was executed by sm was a bit bad bc they shouldn’t have put them on the main stage. the performance was good but it felt a bit empty imo but the hate or the amount of shady comments they got was super unnecessary and sad :/
Nope!! When a song is not good compared to the ones released at the same time and still wins against the good ones, always annoys me. No matter what anyone says. Good music deserves recognition and wins over generic commercial shit. Stop encouraging your faves to release bad music by charting them high. It's ruining kpop. I'm telling yall.
@@butnamjoongunshot2510 did you not get the point of my comment? Generic songs are easy listening that's why they chart higher unlike great music. Some songs are way ahead of their times so when they're released they don't get the attention and hype they deserve but remain legendary and impactful than the songs that charted higher than them at that time (also the higher the promo, the higher the song on the charts). That's why imo, great quality music deserves the awards and recognition irrespective of their chartings and numbers. But ofc not everyone's gonna agree with me. That's okay!
the Aespa thing is because SM compared Blackpink to Aespa, which was the dumbest thing to do. Of course they would get hate from that. But yes they did well all things considered. also what is this thing where people are praising idols for singing live. .like they're supposed. It's they're job?
Blinks made video Comparing aespa's and Blackpink's stage presence and when I talked about aespa has better vocals they said if they have better vocal they should be soloist not idols This new fans are making kpop dance competition .. 🤣
The hate minors get is only a small reason why I think minors shouldn't debut. The main reason is that kpop is an extremely exploitive industry that actively, promotes, encourages, and captalizes on parasocial relationships that often leads to predetorial behaviors from the fans. Kpop is an extremely exploitive industry on adults alone, so it'll be even more exploitive for a minor. Take Ni-Ki for an example, he's one of the most sexualized 4th gen idols and he's only 17 years old. Therefore minors have no business debuting. Yes there's nothing we can do about it because it's not like these companies will even come close to thinking about this. They're only thinking about the money they can make off of the underage idol. So therefore we as kpop stans should be protecting them when they get hated on and or get these predetorial behaviors projected onto them. Because as much as minors shouldn't be debuting, these companies don't care and will debut them anyways. Which is why we need to defend them and protect them rather than just say "Oh they get hate. This is why minors shouldn't debut." It's not their fault their company doesn't take their best interest at heart and simply wait until they're at least 18 years old. Because again, these companies don't care and if they can make money off a 14 year old, then they'll debut said 14 year old.
The problem with Aespa in Coachella was their stage presence was not that good. And since they are being compared to Blackpink it's worse because Bp had good stage presence even when they were a rookie. For me the Aespa performance was better than Korean award shows but not upto the mark. And it shows that SM is trying so hard to copy bp. But the difference is that Yg did not force Bp in the West. Only when d4 got famous and broke records they started promoting in the West
@@BhaktManomandirVihariniUma So many groups are promoting in the west but it feels that sm is copying all bp's achievements. I dont care what you think

I agree with everything u said-
For the center one i agree but sometimes id like them to change it so other members can shine especially if they have the ability
and for the loona one i agree bc its also a lot more beneficial bc if they change concepts it gives room for other members to shine and bring in more fans it also shows a groups diversity
as for the winning thing i agree unless there is rigging like with dreamcatcher they should have won but scores were tampered with.
⚠️Got7 are having a comeback!!!
i find it so weird how blinks r trying so hard to prove that aespa flopped at coachella like the days when the crowd was "dead" it wasnt like that for their performances only
I enjoyed Aespa’s performance.
I agree with all of it omg ! but I.O.I would have been truely big as twice n red velvet if they hadn't disband
THANK YOU FOR AESPA FACT ITS JUST HATERS AND FAKE BLINK THEY DID SO WELL AS A ROOKIE GROUP AND THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE
Aespa weren’t bad but weren’t good either.
They paid 88rising ..
Similar thing I used to here about every Blackpink's achievement
YG paid for it .. now blinks using it for us woah
Omg I agree with everything
6:04 YEEEES
I think the girls really did redeem themselves. People set up the standards really high because bp did it better, because bp has better stage presence, because bp hype the crowd blah blah blah. I think it's unfair honestly to compare them in the first place, aespa debuted during pandemic and had least years of experience with crowds, of course bp would do better. But let's not forget that proved everyone that they are much better than that plus singing LIVE just to break the prejudice around them that they can't sing live. At least with that, we appreciate their efforts.
Both groups did well, they both had their strengths and wear
One of my opinions is that when fans of Iz*one or ioi make those edits of how sad they r because the group disbanded cuz they will add their current group like Ive in th beginning and then play sad music over pics of Iz*one. It just makes me kinda annoyed after a while lol.
I totally agree with the Kep1er bit.
I agree with 1st one as MY
the minor thing is actually an issue. they're debuting so young and with any kind of fame, even if youre barley on camera, hate is bound to happen.
I think if mnet would have selected groups for road to max they would have been partial we just know that.... the groups selected now are all considered as nugu .... no difference in their fanbase
Someone called me paranoid for saying that Im scared for Kep1ers future because of their music and management xD
as a blink AND my, I think æspa ATE at coachella and it's really just people hating on the girls because "æspa has no stage presence" has become a general opinion.
3:44 is trully annoying 🤦🏻♀️
i kind of disagree with the aespa opinion, they performed really well and handled it super good but the way it was executed by sm was a bit bad bc they shouldn’t have put them on the main stage. the performance was good but it felt a bit empty imo but the hate or the amount of shady comments they got was super unnecessary and sad :/
Please 😂 i really like how honest you are 😌😎
I agree I strongly agree 💯
And i want taehyun to be called as main vocalist of TXT 😭✨ 🥲
I thought he was called as a main vocalist tho?
@@youtubeisntallowingmetocom9062 if it is I am NEOMU HAPPY 😌✨
@@johnsthetic I always heard about him being the main vocal in TXT
@@youtubeisntallowingmetocom9062 🙂 swarry i think i live in another dimension 💀
@@johnsthetic I probably am too
Aespa did well tbh
I think those chart on top etc cuz many people liked it right?
@@butnamjoongunshot2510 did you not get the point of my comment? Generic songs are easy listening that's why they chart higher unlike great music. Some songs are way ahead of their times so when they're released they don't get the attention and hype they deserve but remain legendary and impactful than the songs that charted higher than them at that time (also the higher the promo, the higher the song on the charts). That's why imo, great quality music deserves the awards and recognition irrespective of their chartings and numbers. But ofc not everyone's gonna agree with me. That's okay!
@@anaghabh9811 hmmm
the Aespa thing is because SM compared Blackpink to Aespa, which was the dumbest thing to do. Of course they would get hate from that. But yes they did well all things considered.
also what is this thing where people are praising idols for singing live. .like they're supposed. It's they're job?
Blinks made video Comparing aespa's and Blackpink's stage presence and when I talked about aespa has better vocals they said if they have better vocal they should be soloist not idols
This new fans are making kpop dance competition .. 🤣
No literally with kep1er like..they just came off a survival show and now they have to compete again 😭
Because again, these companies don't care and if they can make money off a 14 year old, then they'll debut said 14 year old.
girl is speed running this vid with this AI voice LMAO
I don't hate aespa but I do hate SM for saying aespa is the first gg to perform at Coachella
So promoting their idol in west is copying BP ..
@@BhaktManomandirVihariniUma So many groups are promoting in the west but it feels that sm is copying all bp's achievements. I dont care what you think
