This was a great interview. One of the things I really like about Rosé in general is that she seems to have a good head and has a generally grateful attitude towards the world. Especially in the parts where she was asked about the training system, she would always answer without baggage. Like many Blinks, I felt bad that Rose was not given a chance to do a lot of solo ventures or collaborations despite being Blackpink’s main vocal; but I still have gratitude and appreciation for what YG has done to make the 4 ladies be who they are and what they can be, because of the decisions they made for Blackpink.
Yes. I agree. Many people do not see that. Without YG, there would be no Blackpink. All the 4 girls are hugely successful (and extremely wealthy and can do what they like doing now) because of YG. They trained the girls well and they have invested millions of dollars into them.
Agreed I am incredibly happy with this new era for all the girl's and I wish nothing but happiness for them, they've gone through a lot and hope they're healing
Rosé never brags about her accomplishments. Even after beating between 700-1000 people at the audition she just says "and to my surprise they called us back"
This is honestly so sad 😭 I wish these haters consistently hating on rosé would stop. Writing mean comments, stalking her to the point where she had to delete HER private account, creating certain narratives and drama around her. I hope she heals from this because it's even getting me emotional 😭😭. I wish success, and happiness for you💗💗

This came up in a conversation I had with a friend about a year ago. We were discussing kpop, and I asked if she had listened to Rosé at all and she said she didn't like Blackpink. Too many of their songs were about status and money and I was like no no nooooo. Rosie completely breaks that mold. I think she explains the mentality perfectly at the beginning of the interview.
Well researched interview. Rosé was very sincere and honest in answering the interview. We are always here for you Rosé. Keep enjoying the results of your hard work. The haters are not even a percent of the people that supports you.
Interesting to hear how complex and intricate aspects of Rose’s life manifested in her songwriting - and the fact she’s actually one of her own primary songwriters. It’s also sobering and sad to hear how all the negativity and toxicity of ‘netizens’ impacted someone as successful and talented as Rosie. She comes across as accessible but respectfully guarded (and rightfully so), and as intelligent as she is silly. Great interview.
Yeah absolutely, she's very good at being open and genuine but knowing when not to share too much. As in, it feels like we know a lot about what she's like as a person, yet we know barely anything about her personal life

I'm surprised with the comments. I think I'm the only one who didn't like the interviewer. Her tone throughout the interview... to me she sounds aloof the whole time. Yes, there were good moments, but overall, Rosé saved this, and deserves a better interviewer the next time, more than great questions, it's important to be sympathetic.
It’s just a different style of interview. It’s not a celebrity or music interview, this type of interview is about getting depth on who the person is beyond their fame & professional persona. For instance the question on rose / Rosie name choice was perceptive by the journalist that there was more to this & then it gave insight into how hard she has worked to develop rose, her professional persona, but Rosie is who she really is. And she said that it keeps happening lately that she accidentally says she is Rosie, a name she only uses personally, instead of Rose. And the reason the interviewer picked up on that is why? Why is this happening now?
This is such a great interview! The way it's done is so good, I also love how she connects the follow-up questions to make Rosie open up more about herself. It's one of my favorites so far.
I witnessed bp, especially rosie’s growth over the years and the fact is she is the ONLY one active from Korean entertainment knock out foreign interviews after interviews. She does so well and is very well spoken. Alot of kpop acts that cross over to US they really struggle with the interviews but not her. This is so natural for her and I love that. Very easy to engage.
This interview is so intimate on a way that it helped me know more who Rosé really is in many ways. Celebrities are humans too! ❤ Rosé inspires me a lot in life. If you have a dream you work for it and "when life throws you lemon, make lemonade".
Thank you for an informative interview with Rose. As a father of 2 daughters in their early 20's, I see some similarities with my daughters and the Blackpink members. And I feel protective about the 4 BP members as if they were my daughters! From the interview, I learned that Rose is a very determined young woman, from a very young age, and at only 27 years of age, she is wise beyond her years. I also feel that Rose is a genuine, authentic person, who is kind and thoughtful to others. I wish her nothing but health and happiness, as I have no doubt that with her talent and hard work, she will become a legendary solo star, as well as member of the most successful girl group.
I love this girl fr Sincerely I wish those hate stops really. It's crazy and sad how our keyboard can destroy and hurt others which is really unfair. Be kind and speak positivity to others❤ And kudos to her speaking up she is such a darling❤️.
I could listen to Rosie talk all day. Her interviews are so fascinating and well-done. The interviewer did a great job asking questions. I feel like I learned a lot about her in this interview alone, compared to the six years I’ve been a fan of hers. Looking forward to more from Rosie!
I always knew Rosé would be the one to break out and suit western/international listeners the most. She always felt more like an actual artist who just happened to be an idol
Thank you so much for this very intimate interview, New York Times!! We got to know more about how Rosé feels. 🥹 And to you our dear Rosé if you're ever lurking here, please know that no matter what you say or do, haters will always have something to say against you, because they don't know who you are, as we fans, don't fully know as well. So please just focus on your art and we'll do our best to support and love you. 💗 You are pretty. You are special. You are an angel. You are very relevant!! Everyone else is relating to what you've been sharing. 🥹 And you're one of the persons who has a very big heart-and we love you for that and everything else. 💗 Keep safe always.
She shares things we may have typa heard before about her begging of training, but in this interview it feels like she’s just talking directly to us in a real conversation ❤love it
I'm so happy for all the 4 girls seeing them achieving so many things and getting this big both as a sololist and as a group.... As a fan of them since 5 years I am so proud that they got this big and finally able to do what they always wanted to like seeing them from releasing 2 to 3 songs in 2 years to finally seeing them relasing their own albums and still getting so successful is crazy they proved that they are powerful with or without yg their impact is just crazy and the amount of popularity and talent each member of this group have is insane .. I just wish they continue to grow big like this and lastly as a blink i want to see all 4 of them together again after they have achieved everything as a sololist
Rosie is a true musician - who actually focuses on the music. Drop the fashion and runways and hip moves and string pulling. Music that people actually cares about. I'm so happy u r gg solo and creating music dat follows ur heart. Your music is uniquely urs. Ur heart is one of a kind. K-pop and Bp couldn't contain u. Music that’s pleasant to listen, music that inspires. Music that’s not narcissistic. Thank u Rosie. This is just the beginning. U r going to be bigger and brighter.
We have to separate criticsm for her art, which very much needed in order for an artist to be better, for example it is in regards to her voice, lyrics, live performance, etc. And pure hate that basically has nothing to do with her art, for example, body shaming, false allegation, etc. The latter is the major problem in Kpop industry (maybe music industry in general). Disliking an artist because you're not into their art is okay (at the end of the day everyone has their own preference) but deliberately saying mean things and creating a false narrative just bcs you hate the person for no reason at all, is just a pure horrible behaviour. Rosie, thank you for being so open and vulnerable in this interview. I hope you can find peace inside your head and please refrain urself from goin down the rabbit hole by reading comment on the internet, it's beyond your control after all. And keep in mind that a lot of ppl appreciate your art and don't let the small noise overcome the appreciation and love shown to you!! Oh and can't wait for you new album!!
Great interview for once the questions are intelligent and not hollow and superficial. Thanks for giving us honest, real, vulnerable Rose. We love you Rosie 🩷
Damn this made me cry😢😢😢 Dw rosie...the blinks will always love you❤❤❤ U r perfectly perfect in your own wayy❤❤❤ Love youuu❤❤cant wait for the album too
This Interview is extraordinary well. Very thoughtful and authentic questions and answers. I always liked rosés voice and personality and seeing her true & mature self now makes me respect her even more. Looking forward to her album and the tour! Hopefully it will be a world tour. I really wish her all the best ❤️
To think those negative comments would lead to eventually her feeling so lonely and even hating herself after, is so sad and unfair :( she is such a treasure and sweetheart (and talented and 🔥)
I really feel that rosé is confused between being open for western fans or not being open for kpop fans. But what I feel she should be more open and blunt about certain things like about criticism replying back to hate openly I think this is what she needs . I think she is in a transition phase and being more open with every interview . Anyway love rosé 💚🩷❤❤❤
Yeah i feel like the difference between western and kpop fan communities are drastic. The amount of expectations and content and the relationship between the celebrity and the fans are different so I can see why Rosé has trouble being vulnerable and honest with the world without saying too much.
21:55 This broke my heart. She always has, and always will be more than enough for us. The thought of Rosie keeping herself up at night reading any negativity about her fills me with so much sorrow bc she has brought nothing but happiness to not only my life but so many others.

Many of the covers that she's done over the years have been by US artists. So, K-pop fans shouldn't be surprised that her music is going to be more mainstream. And about how toxic that fan culture can be.
@ yes that was sad to hear her talk about that. I hope she stops reading all the negative online comments.
How people can hate someone so pure is shocking ! 😢 I can’t wait for ROSIE
This interview is so intimate on a way that it helped me know more who Rosé really is in many ways. Celebrities are humans too! ❤ Rosé inspires me a lot in life. If you have a dream you work for it and "when life throws you lemon, make lemonade".
Great to see ROSÉ being so open in her recent interviews.
I love you Rosie and will always proud of you❤
This sounded like a therapy session. I hope Rosie feels better. The interviewer did a great job.
채영이가 존재한다는 사실만으로 누군가는 힘을 얻고 행복하다는 걸 잊지마~~ 정말 자랑스럽고 많이 사랑한다~~!!
Once again I felt the sincerity and genuine feelings from Rosé ❤ Thank you for the interview and I’m looking forward to the album in 6/12 ❤️
Thank you for an informative interview with Rose.
BEST BEST BEST interviewer ever, great questions!
I feel like officially she is now my bias. Ilysm Rosé ❤
I love this girl fr
Sincerely I wish those hate stops really.
It's crazy and sad how our keyboard can destroy and hurt others which is really unfair. Be kind and speak positivity to others❤
And kudos to her speaking up she is such a darling❤️.
This is so honest and raw… i’ve always said.. there’s strength in vulnerability… love you Rosé…🥇💪🏻🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Number Ones & Blinks are here for you Rosie!!! We love you!!! Those haters are JEALOUS!!!

Gosh this is making me cry.
Rosie, u deserve so much more.
Blinks love you so so much, our Rosie Posie❤
She is sooo Aussie. Easy going and reserved but also very determined.
She’s Kiwi by birth but grew up in Inner Eastern Melbourne!
She is really well spoken and inspiring! I enjoyed this interview very much.
로제야 인터뷰 너무 좋다❤❤

Thanks THE INTERVIEW, so great podcast....
What an incredible interview! Rosie, you are just amazing…you are the #1 girl! So proud of you! 🤩👍🏽
Rosie is a true musician - who actually focuses on the music. Drop the fashion and runways and hip
moves and string pulling.
This was a wonderful interview. Really really enjoyed diving into Rosie's world. So refreshing
Thank you for the podcast!!! Her speaking voice is sooo beautiful not only her personality🎉
this girl need her own podcast
Love you rose the musician of blackpink
This was such a wonderful interview Rose did! I'm so proud of her as a fan!
We love you Rosie 🩷
i'm SO proud of her

This Interview is extraordinary well. Very thoughtful and authentic questions and answers. I always liked rosés voice and personality and seeing her true & mature self now makes me respect her even more. Looking forward to her album and the tour! Hopefully it will be a world tour. I really wish her all the best ❤️
ROSIE I AM YOUR NO.1 FAN, listening to this on long road trip was so inspiring ! 💫 she’s such an amazing communicator
Thanks ,this was a great interview. She is amazing #1
I love you rosé ❤
Thank you for having our number one girl Rosé
@milkyuuu6170 can't agree 💯 more
She is the real IDOL... the best idol in kpop
บุคลิกตอนแสดงของเธอตรงข้ามอย่างสิ้งเชิง เธอน่ารักตลอด มีความนอบน้อง ฉันรักโรเซ่
21:55 This broke my heart. She always has, and always will be more than enough for us. The thought of Rosie keeping herself up at night reading any negativity about her fills me with so much sorrow bc she has brought nothing but happiness to not only my life but so many others.
