I’m so happy to see Anthony Michael hall in a big movie again !!!
Looking forward to seeing the performances of Richards and Hall the most in this. Richards looks good and Hall I sense will bring a memorable character performance as he did several times in the 80s. In my opinion, more so than the others in the Brat Pack.

What would you guys rate the new Halloween movie?
I think watching it with some body you're close to like your family my sister and my niece and me my sister was so scared she had to put her hands over her eyes that's the fun of it being with people that you could watch it and have fun also and we plan to go 2 weeks ahead of time it was cool don't know what's going to happen next year this time but hopefully the sequel will be the most best Halloween movie yet Halloween ends can't wait
I think the first Halloween was the best one ever I will give that a 10 plus have not saw everyone that Halloween movies but Halloween kills I will give it a 8 I mean it was a good movie but they could been more Gore and more stuff they could have used in that film to make it much better all in all it was good wait till next year halloweenends that should be the bomb

Oh I love the movie I think it was excellent all the actors to excellent Jamie Lee Curtis is one of my Idols actually I think she's a great actress can't wait till next October when they come out with the sequel Halloween ends the ending was so wild that I knew that had to be another Halloween for next year and I went with my sister and my niece and we planned it for like 2 weeks after the movie begin oh we were so excited emmy-winning a good time with when they was only like five people in there i n the whole theater it was a early show they have like six other movie theaters and the theater itself and three of them was for Halloween all different times awesome you guys

Anthony Michael Hall as Tommy....I don't know, why not Brian Andrews, that would be better continuity with Kyle Richards returning. I love Anthony Michael Hall, but all I see is Brian from The Breakfast Club or Gary from Weird Science! He's a great actor though so could be good!
I agree. AMH is a capable actor and is decades removed from playing his goofball characters in those '80s movies, but those performances stuck to such a degree for me that I just can't take him seriously... certainly not serious enough to be in a genuine horror film. I think it would have been better if they had cast a less recognizable actor as Tommy, maybe a "nameless" actor from one of the many crime dramas on TV or something, if they couldn't get Brian Andrews back. I dunno, I also don't like that you have all of the returning characters being played by their original actors, and then one recast actor who looks absolutely nothing like the original Tommy. 💁♀️

I doesn't matter anyway, they didn't write Tommy Doyle they just gave his name to a new character - same as with Laurie in the last film.
@Mister Ajay They never had any intention on casting him as Tommy. Brian, like you said, is mentally unstable. On top of that, he hasn't really acted in close to 40 years. He's been an extra in a few TV shows, but that's about it. They were contacting him to see if he'd be in a cameo role. He dicked around with them and they moved on.
I feel bad for Brian. He needs a lot of help. Right now he's living in a transient hotel in Arizona and shitposting his family drama on Facebook. This week has to be very difficult for him.

"Laurie is the centre piece of the franchise" - gonna be fun to see them try to walk back on that once JLC is gone for good (for the third but more permanent time). Ditch her for a few films, stop kicking Loomis down (because he really does bring a hell of a lot more than you're giving credit to, as proven in H18 and your version of Laurie) and stop avoiding the series (and original film's) lore just because general audiences have retroactively decided that the title of the series is irrelevant and that it should just be about JLC vs a guy wearing a Myers mask.
I mean even in the original, it wasn’t all about Laurie. Michael stalked all of them. She just happened to be the only survivor and it went downhill from there when Laurie miraculously became his sister and the series fixated on his “motive” which was to kill his sister.
Knowing that the story was supposed to end in 1978 and money was the only factor in the sequels from that point, it’s actually refreshing that they’re ignoring it all and starting fresh.
@@nopebih yeah cool whatever (not to you, to the timelines, I sincerely do not get why people care about canon - especially in a series that’ll have another new on by 2028) but they’re focusing everything on and around Laurie more than ever now - to the point that they actively diminish Loomis’ (far more integral) role in the original story and frame the series as the “saga of Laurie and Michael”. They’re backing hard into the JLC corner despite us knowing for fact this time she’ll never come back after Ends.
And whilst explaining Myers is dumb (and just for the record, had never been done in the films - H6 presents Tommy’s theory and the PC aligns that with the cult’s beliefs but the cult are clearly not in control at all and Tommy’s theory doesn’t hold any weight in the TC at all), ignoring the Halloween part of Halloween is just wrong. The original film is tied heavily into the holiday thematically and sub-textually, it’s sort of the whole point and as much has been said by Debra Hill and Carpenter in case you needed confirmation (which evidently people do since so many seem to think Myers was a sexually motivated human...) H18 just did away with it entirely and that’s getting rid of the core of the series, keeping only the surface level elements. I did enjoy H18 enough but not a fan of the direction this is going, very full of itself but lacking any of the ambition depth or understanding they talk up as having. Hate H6 or RZH2 all day if you want but they had a hell of a lot more going on, as did H1 and H2. I do not think the series should be doubling down on JLC name bait and such a heavily watered down approach just for mainstream success as even if they get that success it will be short lived and they are sacrificing the core of the series to do so (at least they have done so far), this has resulted in a modern fanbase that are quite heavily off the mark on the earlier films and infinitely pretentious in gatekeeping and judging other fans/films. H18 isn’t nearly good enough to justify that and this does reflect on the future of the series itself.
Because when Laurie (J.L.C) is part of it the films perform better....Laurie and Michael are basically like Joker and Batman

Okay JLC, I love you. Loved the 2018 movie. But KILLS did NOTHING for the franchise. BEFORE you bash me, hear me out.
First off, our heroines from the first were all sidelined in KILLS. Laurie stays in a hospital bed, Allison stays in a car and Karen... oh God, Karen. How disappointing her character was.
The trailer had me fooled into believing that Karen was going to lead this angry mob to Michael for a show down. But even she became a secondary character... even after her awesome arc in the first. Her character ruined this film for me. I get the artistic side that she is used as showing how we humans cater to mob mentality etc.
But it does NOT work while Tommy leads the mob and Karen feels sorry for the lunatic(s) that killed her husband just a few hours prior.
And then there's Hawkins. Why the F is he back? Why??? His character is so utterly useless that his survival has absolutely NO impact what so ever.
AND don't get me started on the gay couple. Forcing inclusivity onto us was so stupid. From the female doctor and male nurse couple, to this COMEDIC RELIEF gay couple just did a huge disservice to gay couples. In fact, the movie did a huge disservice to the three heroines that had just survived the first. Instead, we have to bounce from one character to another to pull for and that's a HUGE stigma and no no in horror films.
It just didn't work. Sorry.
I mean it's a guy with a knife and that's pretty much it for these films so ideas are already limited. Yet here we are 12 movies in and this dead horse still taking an absolute beating. However I didn't mind this one. Not as good as 2018 but a pop corn flick non the less.
