- With director David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills opening in theaters this weekend and also streaming for free on Peacock, the other day I got to speak with Kyle Richards, Judy Greer, and Anthony Michael Hall about making the sequel. During the interview, they talked about what fans would be surprised to learn about the making of Halloween Kills, why Michael Myers and the Halloween franchise has been popular with so many people for so long, if any of the brutal kills were too much for them, and more. In addition, Richards talks about what it was like filming a scene with alligator handlers in the water and how she was warned to be on the lookout for snakes.
In the sequel, which starts right as the last film ends, we are back in the town of Haddonfield and dealing with the aftermath of the events of 2018's Halloween, which saw Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis), her daughter Karen (Greer), and her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) narrowly escaping the clutches of Michael Myers. As they are rushing to the hospital to get Laurie Strode medical treatment, the fire department is rushing to her home to put out the blaze, which leads them to unintentionally set Myers free to continue his rampage. As you can imagine, chaos ensues, and Myers shows no mercy to the people he encounters. Moreover, Halloween Kills brings back several more characters from the iconic franchise - Anthony Michael Hall plays a grown-up Tommy Doyle, and Kyle Richards will reprise her role as Lindsey Wallace from the 1978 film. Nancy Stephens also returns to the franchise as Marion Chambers, former assistant to Dr. Loomis.

Here's the official synopsis:
Minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor. But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster. The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all. Evil dies tonight.

Kyle is so much cooler as an actress than a housewife...
she’s actually a very talented, sweet, lovely women 💕
So cool to see Anthony Michael Hall getting some love again. He was always great as a kid in comedy, then The Dead Zone was an awesome show and he had a great run on that one. Glad he's back in the spotlight!
He was absolutely great in the film. Hope he does some more horror / action. I also loved that Tommy was a wimpy kid who grew up to be a massive adult just like Anthony himself!
Anthony has grown as an actor and talent.
Into amazing genuine human. I believe Tommy, Lindsey, Lonnie, Casey (son) Allison were sabotaged by some outside source of power! Thier ends or scenes should of been much more

You know, a lot of RHOBH Podcasters & bloggers gave Kyle shit for how she talked about filming the movie while filming RHOBH last season, but she did really well in the film! I was already excited to see this, but then seeing Kyle reprise the role of Lindsay after being in the original was such a smart idea by the director. And she's a really good actor. And the movie blew up this weekend. I'm so happy for her and for everyone involved in this. I loved it. It really put me in such a great mood for the Season!
The movie has been successful you're right, but it's not because of Kyle Richards. It's because of Jamie Lee Curtis, Anthony Michael Hall, and Judy Greer,. And besides this movie was shot two years ago. Kyle has just been talking about it for the last two years along with her broken nose story.

I was surprised by how well she did. Loved the fight her character had in her and she managed to survive going head to head with Michael.

I'm so curious what the swamp scene was, lol. Poor Kyle, had to risk life and limb and the scene was cut, lol. Absolutely loved Halloweek Kills, going to see it a 3rd time in my local theater after work today. Honestly not sure why so many people hate this movie. Go watch it if you haven't seen it, decide for yourself!

I’ve watched a few interviews with Anthony Michael Hall about Halloween Kills and it’s very refreshing and kind to hear him refer to the interviewers by name, I don’t think I’ve ever seen that from movie stars before.

True. But if not, he and Karen(who might also not be dead) could be the sacrificial lambs needed to spur on the revenge Laurie and those left NEED to finish Myers for good. Tommy was Laurie's charge. She protected him and Lindsay that night in '78. His death and Karen's, will either make or break her. As well Allyson. If they finally end the Myers/Strode story, I'm willing to wager it'll be Laurie MAYBE pulling a suicide attack to take him down and make sure he's done.

Its 2021 I believe its a universal idea that by a month into a movies release most who want to see it have seen it thru a series of options. Like at home on firestick. So spoil alert is ...dont look into interviews until you've seen the movie.

If you dont want any spoilers, then you DO have the ability to ignore them. Searching videos on youtube to complain about the possible content is just hilarious.

I agree, I think it’s absolutely crazy videos like this have been uploaded. I thankfully saw the movie first, but it’s absolutely ridiculous. The only people that don’t care about these type of videos are idiots who have spent too long on Tik Tok and are used to instant gratification.

Anthony Michael Hall definitely has a “back the blue” & Punisher sticker on the back of his Ford F-150 😂 Also, his character in Kills was one of the worst in the entire franchise. I’d rather watch Busta Rhymes do karate moves & electrocute Michael in the balls than view his cringe portrayal of Tommy

Kyle Richards acting skills paled in comparison to Judy Greer and Anthony Michael Hall. That's what happens when they hire an actress who hasn't worked in over 40 years. She's depending on her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Accolade to get her through this. Kyle's fake crying is something that she does all the time on the show so it came off super unauthentic when she was doing it in Halloween kills. I've heard her phony crying way too much .....
