Some of my lazy farming tips as someone who has been playing since 5.0 1- knowing which character has local speciality passive, despite game showing were the mats might be (cuz i am dumb and can't navigate map, and game don't show new location till you complete ever mats in a specific location). 2- while pre-farming, i personal ly like to remember a specific route where mats are present in large numbers and would only collect from that area in interval of few days even in co-op. 3- DON'T let you intrusive thoughts win while any mats, i really regret wasting materials so hard.
As someone who plays casually but also wants to level a lot of characters, the resource management is key. I try to log in at least 2-3 times a week to get my comms and weekly boss done. I also recommend to quickly spend 10 min of your play session to far ore. Map out your route and run it every 2/3 days. Nothing is worse than running low on ore when you wanna craft. Speaking from experience!
There is also a really good cave for crystal flies underwater in the seelie locked cave directly east of Fontaine. They are super easy to collect, right next to the waypoint, and there are 6 every day.

I wouldn't recommend buying resources to newer lazy players. They'll run out of gold. Because you're an older player, you don't realize what an isssue gold is. You're constantly limited by it, to level a char is 2 mil, to level their talents 5 mil, to level their weapon and so on... you don't have gold in this game, not if you bother to build anything. And yes, you can farm the yellow clouds, but then you don't have resin for anything else - XP, artifacts, weekly bosses etc. They limit you so much, you can't really afford to spend that much.
the frames and borders can be found on editing apps (unless it's a specific one you want - then you can search png border/video)! (im not sure as much on the tt aspect tho T-T sorry)

the resources you can actually buy for mora are usually pretty cheap, though... It's not like they'll drop 100k on each one, yk
buying resources is definitely a thing to do if you have lots of mora to spare! but you do have a good point!

Also for the transformer thing you DO NOT have to put ascension materials you can put the ingredients to make food too and it gives you the same stuff
