Gaijin in a nutshell FIX : A bug which would cause shadows to flicker on the surface during air battles has been fixed. RESULT : now you can fly a plane without wings,above speed limit, and you can't be targeted by AAA Nice :D
It's actually not that unrealistic at all... the remaining wing surface generates enough lift to keep the plane in the air at these speeds, and since the wing area was just cut in half, the aerodynamic drag was also reduced... basic logic tells us that the plane can now reach higher speeds than it would have been able to with full sized wings. And since the structural failure point that prohibited the plane from going faster than x is gone, there is no reason that it couldn't go faster than x, x being the never exceed speed. Look at the F-104 Starfighter for a plane that has an eerily similar wing/tail look to the impromptu "MiG-21" here. ^^ In addition, it's perfectly possible to control a real life plane with just elevator and rudder... at least one A-10 Thunderbolt II lost both outer wings, including it's ailerons, the pilot trimmed it out and landed safely. :D Not being targeted by AAA is bullshit of course. ^^ That being said... the real MiG-21 was able to go slightly faster than this here at sea level, roughly 801 mph/1289 kph... but at altitude, it breaks Mach 2, which is roughly 2470 kph. :P And of course, it would accelerate a hell of a lot faster both at sea level and altitude, having a climbrate of 225 meter per second. :D

Yeah but it also lost the ailerons, yet can still roll.
The plane still has a rudder, so it can still control yaw. Every yaw movement also induces a roll movement, that's completely normal.
