Oda is really a good creator because he made a character totally similar to rubber and made this character the villain to improve luffy's character improvement.
And they fighting in the mirror made it like fighting with yourself

@@Yama-v1 first of all , even at crocodile , he was taken down luffy few times before beating crocodile , it isn't only kaido , even with katakuri , what i mean is , when he were fighting them , luffy is always inferior to them , but as the fights goes on , luffy can always adapted to their levels , and when luffy beating them , of course , next time , luffy can do it 1v1 , like with kaido , he acquired a few version of advance types of haki and new gears , so luffy can fight kaido 1v1.

Katakuri could have killed Luffy from the beginning but the plot couldn't allow and that's a fact
Katakuri played around too much and allowed Luffy to evolve from this fight as a stepping stone. Luffy in the current chapters would probably beat Katakuri now.

@@JACKAGLAW Katakuri 100% let Luffy go. He was the last to fall and the first to get up. He was happy when Luffy escaped. The fact of the matter is Katakuri didn't want to fight him anymore. He wants Luffy to beat Big Mom, because he loves his family and acknowledges the danger that Big Mom poses. Which is why he only falls when he confirms that Luffy is coming back. It's basically the whole theme of the fight. Its why the whole fight is basically Katakuri wank. He is stronger. He is faster. He has better haki. But he loses because of Luffy's drive to become Pirate King and save his friends. Very cliche. But its the only way Luffy gets out because in the end of the day he is the main character and the plot has to keep him alive. I dont know how you can cite one thing which easily can be explained by Katakuri not wanting to lose to a weaker opponent by cheating, and ignore the rest of the fight and all the context.

The difference is katakuri only has 1 advance type of haki while luffy have 3 advanced applications of haki , plus awakening.

I love the fact that Katakuri's fighting style is basically the same as Luffy's only different is their Devil Fruits Luffy is Rubber and can stretch. While Katakuri is Mochi, can stretch, and is sticky!!!! Plus the difference in their haki and Katakuri has had alot more training using his Devil Fruit than Luffy!!!! In terms in only this situation Luffy is the copycat of Katakuri!
There fighting style is not same. Katakuri is just trying to prove Luffy that what Luffy can do he can do better. Katakuri is just copying Luffy's move!!

That and Mochi is a helluva lot more malleable than Rubber, Rubber can't change shape like Mochi can...sure it can flex and stretch, but it's overall shape is pretty static

Probably the last time we are going to ask ourselves "how strong is this guy?" One Piece fights are still compelling to this day which is not an easy thing to achieve. I appreciate the recognition that Boa Hancock is receiving along with all the other warlords and the heart pirates are doing really good now.
Luffy vs Karakuri was important for Luffy as he learnt advanced observation haki but it was important for Karakuri too because Luffy gave him ideas about how to use his power more efficiently. Out of all the devil fruit powers, I like his most because he can do so much. He can make a machine gun out of his stomach and he can turn his head into a dragon's head and spit mochi to trap his opponents. He can make a hundred snakes out of his palm and his fingers. If there is strong wind, he can make webs on his armpit to glide.

@@zir456 based on his fights , it was arranging in order , in WCI , he fights cracker , for stamina , and katakuri for future sight , in wano , he trains for advance armament haki , and then kaido , for advance conquerors haki and his awakening , maybe another match would be his prolong usage of awakening , and a better use of advance coc haki.
Katakuri may have been the most smart user of his devil fruit
a pebble can be a lethal weapon in the right hands,his devil fruit isn't overpowered but he uses it so efficiently

if you really think hard about it, Luffy made Kat even stronger because he showed him how tp use his Mochi fruit in a pound-for-pound way. As Kat stated, "I'm following your lead on this". He was copying luffy's moves better, stronger, faster.

He can imitate the form but not the steam , but he's katakuri after all , so he's also faster with his g4 version , maybe katakuri didn't want to copy that , because it was lame for him.

katakuri is stronger, mochi can stretch too, he doesnt actually have to turn to mochi to use its characteristics, luffy isn't a rubber band, he has skin and muscles and a skeleton, but not actually rubber, so katakuri has better muscles, he can make it bigger, and probably had better haki, so he can just do a better gear 4th or snake man, and my proof is that when katakuri used awakening he didnt always turn the pillars around him to mochi, he just made them get the characteristics, katakuri also has better observation and they both have conquerers, katakuri id literally just luffy but alot better, luffy only won cuz plot armor
"plot armor"? no! luffy really won ! katakuri wasn't faster, he just move earlier than luffy because he know exactly what he gonna do ! also he don't need to blow in is bones to got bigger arms, he can do it as bigger as he want and that faster than luffy ! katakuri had a lot of advantages but the bigger one is his ability to see seconds in future with is advanced haki ! in gear 4 bounce-man, luffy had the same level armament haki. He use his awaken df to kill luffy under mirror world walls with a attack that no one survived according to him so he really want to kill luffy from there but luffy survived and destroys his mochi house and sees him eating donuts after that katakuri was very angry and they keep fighting ! because of his story , we can say that katakuri was not adapted to long and hard fights ! he wasn't as toughness as luffy so after a few well located blows from luffy he start bleeding and get hurt ! then when luffy start to handle advanced observation haki he got shoot by flampee and katakuri stabbed him without knowing ! after katakuri notice that he stabbed himself and shows his mouth to world , then he accepted the challenge . From there the two men start fighting not as ennemies but as rivals who have respect for each other ! katakuri was serious and luffy too ! they both want to win while other is on his best. after luffy goes snakeman even if katakuri was able to see the hits from luffy he couldn't dodge them because of their speed so he were constrained attacks while luffy do too ! so the fight turns to " give me your best hit i will give you my best one " and katakuri hits luffy with his "zangiri mochi" two times ! and luffy's king cobra hit katakuri too ! after they both fallen out of "fuel" xD ! then luffy gets up and walked ahead ; a few moments katakuri got up but was very weakened. luffy was very weakned too but he was on fight pose ! after discuss katakuri fell down on his back ! this is how i saw this fight . i'm saying luffy won because of his legendary will and toughness not only a story of plot, after katakuri fell down , when luffy put the hat on his mouth he was unconscious ! brulee saw the fight and she is his a person who knows katakuri very well , she said something like "our beloved brother katakuri has been defeated by mugiwara no luffy" when she told the truth to other family members !
@@obmis_arraid21 it really was plot armor, kataruri was better in every single way possible, his observation haki was so strong that he could see into the future, his strength and armament haki were so strong that every time luffy contested his punches luffy screamed in pain, his speed was so high that even in luffy's powerfull black mamba he only got hit by 1 punch, effectivelly dodging every other punch luffy threw at him and counter-attacking afterwards

It's just for visual. Armament haki is supposed to be invisible but Oda post timeskip made it visible so that we could understand when someone use it. The anime just added some colors for visual effect.
