- Did you know that Jamaica has over 600 post offices and postal agencies? Not only that, Jamaica was the first Caribbean island to establish a post office, and it might have been the first in the entire Western Hemisphere!
Jamaica boasts an impressive network managed by the Post and Telecommunications Department, also known as Jamaica Post. They oversee more than 400 postal points, including 164 Postal Agencies and 237 Post Offices. The central office is located at 6-10 South Camp Road in Kingston. Jamaica Post operates under the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology, demonstrating its integration with the government's strategic functions.

Very Interesting. But it seems that post offices are slowly becoming obsolete. Even the post office in my area has shut down due to little or no people going there. But what about the elderly who are not technology wise?
Most postal agencies have been closed however the post offices, especially the ones in the town's are still opened, for packages and address verifications, also some law documents have to go thru the post. Thanks for watching
Bless up

Falmouth had running water before New York City.
Jamaica phone card system was so sophisticated it was copied by AT&T. There’s plenty of other things Jamaica inspired the western world to have 🫡 great work!
