@Black Sparrow there are no tariffs on goods going to other countries who are apart and of course people can acquire jobs across these countries. The benefits may not be big between Canada and USA but the little adds up. Trinidad make medications and alot of other products that they trade so it workout well with those other countries

Territories are still full blown Colonies, regardless of any excuses given by any parties. The British Commonwealth ones are quasi colonies. Only the ones that have gained full sovereignty, are Countries.
Most of the Caribbean islands biggest companies are controlled by European s or Chinese government. In Jamaica alone there are three bauxite factories one Chinese, American, European. They are destroying Jamaica and the people who live near the dog sites. All for 120 million dollars a year. It’s not worth it and we’re running out of land.

I beg to differ on some of your comments, for example, After Haiti, Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago are the two oldest Republics in the Caribbean and has been so even before some of the other islands even got independence. Therefore all the other islands have seen and known what its like to be a Caribbean Republic from these two larger more populated countries. So explain to us why use relatively new Republics such as Barbados and Dominica as examples ???????
The video was an explanation of the different political structures, not about which ones are older. When it comes to explaining the differences between Republic and other structures. It did its job.

Wrong. Cuba did not become communist in 1959. After the revolution, Castro turned to the USA and the west for support. Not only was he rebuffed but he was opposed and undermined. It was only then that Castro turned to Russia. As Russia helped, Cuba gradully became communist in the early 60s.
Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago led the Independence movement in the Caribbean and Haiti, Dominican Rep and Trinidad & Tobago led the Republican movement in the Caribbean.
Trinidad/Tobago,along with Jamaica and Barbados,plus several Eastern Caribbean states was part of a West Indian federation up until about 1960/1.......Trinidad and Barbados wanted to keep the federation,as did the then,pre-independence Prime minister of Jamaica,Norman Manley.......but once Jamaica had a referendum on Their future in the federation,They voted overwhelmingly,much to Manley's chagrin ,to leave it,to pursue independence.....re-inforced by Alexander Bustamante(not Manley) becoming Jamaica's first post-independence PM.....causing the federation to collapse....Trinidad/Tobago then pursued its' own independence ambitions.....
