Oh man...i have a dark feeling Saul might die this arc...i don't want to think that but...man it just fills me with dreed and it scares me...this moment that should be happy...IS FILLING ME WITH THE MOST DREED EVER!

Noticed some similarities between Bonney and Robin’s lives up til this point. They both had to basically grow up immediately after the government uprooted their lives. Both had an adoptive father figure that inspired them to set out to sea. Both adventures begun because a higher-up protected/covered for them in order for them to escape. Both ended up having their entire livelihoods altered for the better during a buster call that Luffy helped them escape from. A skilled woman emotionally being an 8-year-old at heart and a brilliant 12-year-old masquerading as a tough young woman… I wonder if Robin sees a little bit of herself in Bonney.

I absolutely love the detail of Robin being basically like a Mama Bear for Bonney. She didn't let Bonney go for a single minute since they arrived to Elbaf until she went to greet Saul. And Bonney has remained as her true age the entire time. They have a lot in common. Only makes sense they would connect.
I love the reason Saul fell down and just laid there. Oda, thanks for delivering such an awesome heartfelt reunion without putting it off. Also, Rodo just hanging there crucified for his sins 😂
I'm watching skypiea with my wife and she is still iffy about robin (as one should in skypiea) and to read this chapter and realize how much we love robin now is crazy. I'm so excited for her, she gets to fall in love with robin for the first time like we all did but right now she's like "huh, so she likes ruins and stuff"

My birthday was this week. The fact that this chapter came out this week was … incredible, to say the least. A year ago, I was pretty severely depressed. Each day I lived was a burden, and it felt like nobody was on my side. This was also around the time I watched the Enies Lobby Arc, and fell in love with Robin. She as a character gave me so much hope. To watch her finally find the people, the reason and strength to live she’s spent the past 20 years searching for made me wonder if I could have the same. Nico Robin’s perseverance is part of the reason I lived. Today, I’m thriving. I’ve worked hard on myself, gotten out of that slump, and I think I’m finally finding the people who were waiting for me out on the seas. So to have this chapter come out this week- to hear Saul say he’s so proud of Robin for living, for finally making it through- it was almost like One Piece was telling me the same. Thank you, Robin, for living. I’m so, so proud of you. Of us. Of all the readers who made it to this day because they watched you persevere through challenges greater than we can imagine, and finally find a place for yourself in a world that scorned you.

Its just crazy to be finally seeing this after almost 2 decades later. I cried on this chapter. It felt like somehow I also experienced those 22 years with Robin just surviving anf now she finally reunited with Saul. Its just an epic emotional ride. Thanks Oda!
If I had to guess what Zoro’s and Jinbe’s reactions are to Robin’s reunion with Saul, Zoro’s either smiling like Luffy or at the very least smirking/grinning to himself, and Jinbe either is or is gearing up to let out one of his typical big hearty, belly laughs.
This chapter made me cry, it was so sweet. I love how we didn’t rush through any of it, we just sat in that beautiful reunion moment for page after page
Oda: You thought you've seen everything? Here's more Robin pain for you, featuring s*icidal thoughts everybody! The doubling down on how utterly awful was Robin's childhood on the run was brutal. Even though it was always implied that Robin was suicidal, or at the very least really didn't care that much if she ended up dead, getting the confirmation that she pushed through TWENTY YEARS wanting to die is heartbreaking. Also, silly Saul, reenacting that haha. And the "please praise me" is such a fragile moment for her. This is Robin we're talking about.

I'm sorry i need to leave a 2nd comment....Luffy being SO happy for Robin is extremely heartwarming...which means if anything happens to Saul. Robin isn't the only one who may go into Demonic mode.....
We are so used to Luffy being a goof, or his fights, or getting hit by Nami for having a Luffy moment but the start of the chapter really buillds a perspective. All the hell Robin went through for him to come and change her life so drastic. Luffy really is a light to his crew through everything else.
I love how almost everyone is crying at the end. Like Jimbei and Zoro probably have a smile on their face, and the other 6 are just an accurate representation of the readers at that moment.
what I love about this chapter is that it gives more of a reason for why Robin is called the demon child not simply because she could read the ponoglyphs but because the government blamed her for the Ohara tragedy
Especially for destroying the evacuation vessel... Sakazukis doing btw... Acting fleet admiral... Think about the effect it would have when this piece of information would leak...

The part with Luffy saying as captain he should meet and give thanks to Saul who is important to robin, I feel is something he learned from ace/making. Just like how ace as luffys brother sought out shanks to and learned how to do it properly from making so he could thank him for saving and looking after Luffy. Though Luffy never learned it properly he still probably remembers that's the right thing to do just like ace wanted to do and sees that as an important captain duty Also the "books" thing u joke about but I think it is like ur joke. Vikings were known to have more of a word of mouth telling of history rather than written and the giants based off that probably don't have much written history especially considering their long life spans. They are only 2-3 generations removed from the void century so that's probably still some stories they tell about it like it wasn't long ago compared to the rest of the world. So yeah they are probably not familiar with studying from books also their a warrior culture I don't think studying is all that important to them
I can't, i'm not ready.. i've read it and i still cry. The happiness in robin, the reunion, the laugh.. i still have a broken thing since eines lobby. I will never be ready to see this. As a depressed (perhaps chronilacly) person i can't even go through "no one is born alone in this world, live and laugh" that is all i do i live and laugh and still 33 years afer all i want is for everything to just end. Thanks tekking this brigtens my days just as a one piece chapter does, i didn't wanted to go so dark but is just the emotiotions flowing
I think it was a lovely touch to see Robin saying "Hey, I can go by myself" because she used to disappear on her own on almost every arc to go do her stuff away from the screw and for this one the screw is going with her on her very personal trip. Oda is really so good at subtly building her slow changes while she is a very silent, very background character. I love everything about this.
I think the only way Bonny & Lilith separate from the Strawhats in the future is if Kuma gains his memory back. Then, they can go to the Revolutionary Army. Other than that, they are staying with the Strawhats from here on.
Anything involving Robin will absolutely make me cry. Back in Egghead when Nami yells "Protect Robin". I had to stop reading for a few minutes because I kept crying. And reading this chapter today. I basically exploded into tears 😭❤
I’m glad for Robin. Honestly think Nami is the one who is going to mention who Loki is. Her relationship with chiffon and Lola and having Zeus makes her the perfect way for the straw hats to learn about Loki with luffy keeping his word.
Absolutely love that final page. Luffy, Zoro, and Jimbei watching on smiling while the rest of the crew bawling their eyes out at Robin and Saul's reunion. What a chapter Oda-sensei! Did not expect to dive further into Robin's thoughts during the 22 years and learning of her almost committing suicide as a child or digging through trash for food. I just want to jump into the comic and rescue Child Robin!
What One piece fans expected: "Who's ready for ELBAF. YEAH WAR NATION. OOOOOOOOOO. GOD USOPP YEEEAAAHH." What One piece fans got: "I AM NOT CRYING, MY EMOTIONS ARE LEAKING!"
Robin literally had no one up until the reveal Saul was still alive. All of the straw hats still have family out there even Brook, but she didn’t have that. So Oda making sure to give her this just feels right and justified much in the way I’m glad Sabo was alive for Luffy. And it means Saul can now interact with the other straw hat members which is what I’m most excited for.
That was the first chapter in a long, long time that didn’t just bring a tear to my eye, but literally made my cry. „I wanna live“ is my absolute favorite One Piece moment, and seeing Robin reunite with her very first friend, who she thought dead for decades, absolutely broke me. It was so unbelievably sweet.

I was having a really rough week and honestly was a bit disillusioned with OP. I've been reading some other manga and it'd been a while since I really delved into the stuff I love about OP. This chapter not only helped me remember why I love this series, but gave me a sob I really needed to let out. Amazing chapter, sad we got another break, but it is what it is.

Well, the way manga is becoming more slow on its chapter release, not blaming anything or anyone, i think the anime episodes really need more reason and excuse to expand their stories, rather than putting so much filler episodes or having to pause for some time. The anime episodes should not be catching up or getting too close to the manga chapters...
I wouldn't say it's confirmed that holdum is single handedly responsible for all the kidnappings or even theft of yasu's sword. That's yet to be seen and he may be working with others Um Lilith probably already knows about all this because the Stella visited and studied here. For her it's probably just confirmation with her own eyes. But why should Lilith study this stuff? I'm willing to bet everything about egghead's atmosphere and the technologies she mentions where based on elbaph in the first place. Even egghead's structure is strangely similar to elbaphs. So yeah vegpunk just replicated what he studied on elbaph and Lilith would know this already
Many strawhats have two backstories. Robin. Luffy. Sanji. Zoro technically but oda skipped most of it in manga only for us to see the older samurai. May get a second one for brook and Franky. Could even see Nami have one if the kingdom she came from is important.

An extension of his previous backstory would be more like revisiting him and Zeff Stranded on the rock and revealing who saved them. 7:40- this really makes me Spandine- I thought he was the lesser of the two evils between himself and Spandam, but it’s clear where he gets the nastiness from. Especially nearly forcing Robin to unalive herself from the pressure. Glad he was exposed as a corrupt agent who had dealings with the Underworld and is suffering from it

This was a good chapter. Cause all things that Saul promised Robin did happen. Robin did fell lonely for years, thinking she would be save with good hearted people first, then shifted over thinking that pirates could keep her save, but the only one that could at first was Crocodile and he was just using her to get his hook on Pluton. Even in the tomb Robin was ready to give up and Luffy wouldn't let her. She found a family in Luffy and the others that would do anything for Robin, even if that means to go again the entire world government.
So was Zoro sitting next to Luffy in the final pannel of all the straw hats or was he not there? I couldn't tell. And if he gets lost again, how much do you all think he'll end up meeting the Lurking Legend?

I think people underestimate how hard it is to find people who don't have established bases or towns in OP. Even people like Reyleigh or Crocus who have been at the same spot for decades are relatively obscure and hard to find if you don't have an intelligence agency. Let alone Nico Robin.

Vikings were known to have more of a word of mouth telling of history rather than written and the giants based off that probably don't have much written history especially considering their long life spans. They are only 2-3 generations removed from the void century so that's probably still some stories they tell about it like it wasn't long ago compared to the rest of the world. So yeah they are probably not familiar with studying from books also their a warrior culture I don't think studying is all that important to them
I can't, i'm not ready.. i've read it and i still cry. The happiness in robin, the reunion, the laugh.. i still have a broken thing since eines lobby. I will never be ready to see this. As a depressed (perhaps chronilacly) person i can't even go through "no one is born alone in this world, live and laugh" that is all i do i live and laugh and still 33 years afer all i want is for everything to just end. I think it was a lovely touch to see Robin saying "Hey, I can go by myself" because she used to disappear on her own on almost every arc to go do her stuff away from the screw and for this one the screw is going with her on her very personal trip. Oda is really so good at subtly building her slow changes while she is a very silent, very background character. I love everything about this.
I think the only way Bonny & Lilith separate from the Strawhats in the future is if Kuma gains his memory back. Then, they can go to the Revolutionary Army. Other than that, they are staying with the Strawhats from here on.
Anything involving Robin will absolutely make me cry. Back in Egghead when Nami yells "Protect Robin". I had to stop reading for a few minutes because I kept crying. And reading this chapter today. I basically exploded into tears 😭❤

Honestly think Nami is the one who is going to mention who Loki is. Her relationship with chiffon and Lola and having Zeus makes her the perfect way for the straw hats to learn about Loki with luffy keeping his word.

Everyone deserves a good cry. Robin was definitely needing this for a long time. Can't wait to see this animated.
Robin literally had no one up until the reveal Saul was still alive. All of the straw hats still have family out there even Brook, but she didn’t have that. So Oda making sure to give her this just feels right and justified much in the way I’m glad Sabo was alive for Luffy. And it means Saul can now interact with the other straw hat members which is what I’m most excited for.
That was the first chapter in a long, long time that didn’t just bring a tear to my eye, but literally made my cry. „I wanna live“ is my absolute favorite One Piece moment, and seeing Robin reunite with her very first friend, who she thought dead for decades, absolutely broke me. It was so unbelievably sweet.

I was having a really rough week and honestly was a bit disillusioned with OP. I've been reading some other manga and it'd been a while since I really delved into the stuff I love about OP. This chapter not only helped me remember why I love this series, but gave me a sob I really needed to let out. Amazing chapter, sad we got another break, but it is what it is.
Oh, God, this chapter was so wholesome and heartwarming. I teared up. For good reasons this time, I promise. And this just makes the whole “Robin character development” meme even sweeter.
For some reason Robin saying “stupid” to saul recreating how they met by falling down on the beach, is stuck in my head.
Even the "one piece will be on break" at the end couldn't break the smile this chapter gave me.

Well, the way manga is becoming more slow on its chapter release, not blaming anything or anyone, i think the anime episodes really need more reason and excuse to expand their stories, rather than putting so much filler episodes or having to pause for some time. The anime episodes should not be catching up or getting too close to the manga chapters...

Robin. Luffy. Sanji. Zoro technically but oda skipped most of it in manga only for us to see the older samurai. May get a second one for brook and Franky.
Could even see Nami have one if the kingdom she came from is important.
This isn’t really a second backstory more like an extension to what we already know. It’s not like with Sanji in that regard.

An extension of his previous backstory would be more like revisiting him and Zeff Stranded on the rock and revealing who saved them. This is the same way it is all adding onto what we already know about Robin's time alone. Yes even her contemplating suicide was alluded too already but now we're getting context for it.

This was a good chapter. Cause all things that Saul promised Robin did happen.
Robin did fell lonely for years, thinking she would be save with good hearted people first, then shifted over thinking that pirates could keep her save, but the only one that could at first was Crocodile and he was just using her to get his hook on Pluton.
Even in the tomb Robin was ready to give up and Luffy wouldn't let her. She found a family in Luffy and the others that would do anything for Robin, even if that means to go again the entire world government.

I think people underestimate how hard it is to find people who don't have established bases or towns in OP. Even people like Reyleigh or Crocus who have been at the same spot for decades are relatively obscure and hard to find if you don't have an intelligence agency.
