I love your channel so much seeing all these rad fruits makes me want to travel so i can experience them myself! I'm from new York so the most bizarre fruit I've ever eaten would probably be some kind of Liche nut, keep making these awesome videos please!
I love when you describe the other fruits that taste similar to this one and I'm just like "nnnnoope... Never had that. Nope that one either. Nope." Hahaha I am so unworldly! Also. I love the new song!!!!
Welcome to Miri. That's Salak. I thought the red and brown ones are the same. You should try the similar fruit in Thailand. They have very big ones and they use them as offerings on altar in Thailand. Those are real good compare to the Sarawak ones. You probably can't find many local fruits in March. Water guava is available now I think. Most rare local fruits are only available towards year end.
Haha! I love the hesitation before you dropped the hacky "fruitful" pun! Well done, sir.
Wow it looks like jumbo garlic cloves
Just FYI, "wallachii" is pronounced wal-icky-eye. I'm loving this series.
thank you!

Thanks! Yeah I'm in NYC, plenty of weird stuff to be found thankfully. But tricky sometimes.
Very neat. Love the peeling sounds in the last few videos. I want to try some snake fruit just to play with the skin.
They looked like strawberries from the thumbnail. You make me want to start trying exotic fruits! :-)
should do little add on videos in the markets trying to find your fruits and exploring around

some millenials in indonesia brew this fruit into liquor and is popular in underground music gig especially punk
Really? that's interesting. in any particular area of Indonesia?
@@WeirdExplorer but somehow because of the regulations and the permit, these got banned
Strange I just got recommended this. Happy 4th birthday Ridan.
salak was my brothers favorite growing up
for some reason the sound of you peeling it was just so bizarre XD like it's cardboard
+StrewthFroogals Yeah its so strange. Very thin and scaly.
What's the black in it
what the seed?
I love sour friut and i wish i try these fruits.
Would it be more enjoyable with salt on it perhaps? Like adding salt to lemon neutralizes its sourness
I put salt on it in the video...
oops, sorry, did not notice...
no prob :)
Do you think you you could do a shoutout in the description for donations on the patreon website?
Is this a cousin to snake fruit?
+Etta Reece In a way, its the same genus, different species.
Okay neat

+C Y Thanks. I recorded this in February. Salak usually refers to regular snakefruit, in this video I'm talking about a different species...
