@@Gurd-f2z I have a deep nostalgia for Budokai Tenkaichi, so for me it hits right on the spot. I love the gameplay, I love the alternate storylines. They're all fun and feel plausible/natural. I haven't delved into the battle side of thing, so I can't comment on that. For me, the only thing I'd change in the story is to make it flow more coherently. I don't hate the episode structure, but I still prefer to have one threadline for the canon story. Other than that, it's a blast to play and absolutely worth the time and money imo

For anyone asking how to trigger an alternative choice, it's always either one of two things: either you have to do the alternative objective (look at your objectives when the match starts) or you have to beat the mission fast. Also you have to do it on the normal difficulty, easy difficulty will stop you from triggering a Sparking timeline in most cases. Press L2 to see the objectives

Yes but there will be two separate videos. Half the game you can follow a story, the rest is a lot of alternate timelines and alternate endings. They're great, but would be weird in a movie. So I'm doing a movie version that follows the canon, and then an "All Sparking Episodes" versions that has all the alternate endings and timelines timestamped so people can watch it like that

Is there a more general story mode following the fights of every character + the cutscenes or do you HAVE to follow specific character at a time? Because in this gameplay we skip Frieza's introduction, Vegeta Vs Dodoria, Vegeta Vs Zarbon, Krillin, Vegeta and Gohan Vs the Ginyu Force etc (so far I reached the Ginyu force so idk what happens later with this game). Don't get me wrong, I love the game, even though I don't have a ps5 to play it but I am curious as to if there is a more general story mode. To me it kinda reminds me of Galaxy mode from Raging Blast 2 in which you play the fights of each character, only in sparking zero it's the actual story mode and not individual fights.
You need to kill fused zamasu but its impossible to kill him. Somehow even if his health bar is empty he’s not dying and the trunks cut scene is coming
Has anyone else had a problem with completing the last alternate route for piccolo? it is so difficult to get everything right, it even seems impossible to get the alternate route ending, I haven't been able to defeat Cell in time before time runs out.

You have to beat all 3 of them super quickly, I just used sparking mode combos all the time and beat them before the end of their dialogue and it worked
I'm also having an issue with this one. Any time I get him below 3 full health bars, he uses his melee charge attack and, whether it hits or not, it automatically ends the fight
Man i love the game to death but you'd think 16 years in the wait since Tenkaichi they'd have a huge focus on story... But they gave us the same story since forever and powerpoint slideshows for cutscenes while cutting out like 90% of the og story...That is wild. Like i seen people defend it too, like no man I've played db games since the psp and i feel like the story should compete to shine even just a little especially with a game thats been anticipated for so long. looks like all the upgrades went to mechanics, graphics, animations and promo. If you're truly an og Tenkaichi fan then you'd remember how Budokai Tenkaichi 3 barely even focused on the story lol. Plus, we've been recounting the entire saga for over 20 years at this point, since Budokai 1(Which was also more focused on cutscenes and story than Tenkaichi 3 lol). Also, it's not like Kakarot hasn't focused on the story aspect so we do have a modern dragon ball game that does that. Only thing I dislike is no narrator

That's the same take i see everyone go by... "Tenkaichi is not a story game" yeah... Almost a lifetime ago, doesn't mean they can't do it or implement new change. Especially to a title that'll be a last ode Akira Toriyama had his hand in. Many heavy fighting games these days execute the story aspect wonderfully or at least you can see effort in... Examples being Tekken and MK. Kakarot was a peak example of retelling the dragon ball story in a refreshing way, and the refreshing aspect of things could be wrapped into Sparking Zero. It had a good blueprint with the 'what ifs', but executed poorly. And yeah I agree, missing narrator was a BIG MISS.

You are very correct that's how I feel about it as well they have GT characters in a game but no storyline no movie characters but if you look at Bt 2 and 3 they had every storyline in there
Like for example I'm making a story about another world tournament but goku invites other universes characters to come and join in for the fun and you play as gohan so that he can prove that he's the strongest and he'll even have a rematch between hit and jiren

They’ve done that for years. Raging Blast was moving in a different direction, Xenoverse pushed it further. BT1 and 2 have story mode down to a solid tee imo, but this is more of a relaxed story mode!
The music soundtrack is lit. The story graphics pathway is fire. Slowly, but surely, this game is revealing itself to be the best game by far. Kakarot has its foot in the conversation, but boy is Sparking Zero competing. It’s the story mode that will tell all.

No way, they omit a lot of cinematics, you can't fight Goku vs Racome or for example waste time playing with Vegeta, Krillin and Gohan vs the Giyu troops, you know, they take away the emotion, they go by very quickly.Previous games were slow and calm..... That's my opinion

Because in this gameplay we skip Frieza's introduction, Vegeta Vs Dodoria, Vegeta Vs Zarbon, Krillin, Vegeta and Gohan Vs the Ginyu Force etc (so far I reached the Ginyu force so idk what happens later with this game). Don't get me wrong, I love the game, even though I don't have a ps5 to play it but I am curious as to if there is a more general story mode. To me it kinda reminds me of Galaxy mode from Raging Blast 2 in which you play the fights of each character, only in sparking zero it's the actual story mode and not individual fights.

You have to beat all 3 of them super quickly, I just used sparking mode combos all the time and beat them before the end of their dialogue and it worked

Picco fighting frieza is bugged for me. No matter how fast I kill him, he always lives with 1hp, the objective fails and the normal story continues.
I'm also having an issue with this one. Any time I get him below 3 full health bars, he uses his melee charge attack and, whether it hits or not, it automatically ends the fight

Man i love the game to death but you'd think 16 years in the wait since Tenkaichi they'd have a huge focus on story... But they gave us the same story since forever and powerpoint slideshows for cutscenes while cutting out like 90% of the og story...That is wild.

If you're truly an og Tenkaichi fan then you'd remember how Budokai Tenkaichi 3 barely even focused on the story lol. Plus, we've been recounting the entire saga for over 20 years at this point, since Budokai 1(Which was also more focused on cutscenes and story than Tenkaichi 3 lol).
Also, it's not like Kakarot hasn't focused on the story aspect so we do have a modern dragon ball game that does that. Only thing I dislike is no narrator

Many heavy fighting games these days execute the story aspect wonderfully or at least you can see effort in... Examples being Tekken and MK.
Kakarot was a peak example of retelling the dragon ball story in a refreshing way, and the refreshing aspect of things could be wrapped into Sparking Zero. It had a good blueprint with the 'what ifs', but executed poorly.
And yeah I agree, missing narrator was a BIG MISS.

Like if they wanted they could’ve addd the 5 way block so side to side up down mid. They could’ve added more effort to the cutscenes like bt3 and 2, using in game cutscenes instead of just doing a white screen. Imo if the fans complain enough they respond in kind. This is the best db game, from what I’m seeing. Ff7 rebirth imo is a better game and the game of the year rather than wukong, customization, map exploration that’s actually more open world, box dialogue is better and the replayability. Wukong is a great game good storytelling, great effort into the cutscenes, different animation styles, but those things I stated make it the better game for me, in general I see the both of them neck and neck for music.

I believe Black Myth Wukong deserves GOTY since it's a "new" story and isn't a remaster of an already established IP.

They’ve done that for years. Raging Blast was moving in a different direction, Xenoverse pushed it further. BT1 and 2 have story mode down to a solid tee imo, but this is more of a relaxed story mode!

The music soundtrack is lit. The story graphics pathway is fire. Slowly, but surely, this game is revealing itself to be the best game by far. Kakarot has its foot in the conversation, but boy is Sparking Zero competing. It’s the story mode that will tell all.
