This movie is my favorite movie cuz of the villains only and the reunion of Harry and Peter. Venom looks more like a horror villian than an ordinary villian
I get that Venom was a studio inclusion because of Avi Arad and with Sam already doing Sandman mostly, it was hard to put him in the original story Sam had planned. So with rewrites and reworks, Venom was included. But that of course came with problems of its own with the reception of the movie, Topher and just Venom all together. It’s a shame we’ll never see the REAL Venom Sam Raimi wanted for this movie that included a Venom LITERALLY tearing at Eddie Brock, ripping his skin and flesh off as he became more parasitic and alien as well as the original ending with there being a venom skull after he and Eddie died
This film has a lot of potential, but the big problem is that everything was "optimized", and so they ended up cutting out interesting things. When Sony re-released the Spider-Man films, I thought they would add scenes that were cut at the time, but no, they missed an opportunity to improve the film
