- We all have a fantastic life but we spoil it with our silly ideas of how to live it. This story is about how in trying to define a relationship, we actually end up confining it. One such definition is marriage and this is what is discussed in Cheers by two intimately close friends - one of whom is helping the other decide against a bad marriage that she has chosen to live with for some time now, thus stifling herself from all the happiness she is entitled to. While the intent of the friend seem questionable, the story is about why she trusts him more than anyone else with this issue that she is facing.

A sensitive portrayal of a universal issue faced by many married women across the world. As the writer and director, Sundar and Arjun deserve our gratitude and highest praise. Shweta also did an excellent job of essaying the subtle emotions of an unsure lady lost in a difficult relationship.

As far the story is concerned, we are not taking about what may be but what could be or rather should be. While separation has been used as a premise, the idea is to tell people that our happiness is rooted within ourselves and not in anyone else - however much ever they love us.

This is the first time I've seen my soul got peace after what I felt in a confused state of whether divorce was a regret in my life. Thank you so much for bringing this and made really feel proud of me not having to regret anymore. Tears shed my heart to see this much needed realization.
My mother often said: "Nothing is worse than being married to the wrong person. Never stay entangled in a relationship ... because of societal pressure or other reasons." This movie echoes it: If you are not happy, you can't make others happy.

@@abhisharanya_3527 same here I'm 26 and I'm seeing the same level of rudeness& selfishness of my father...They Got married on 18th April 1986 it's around 38 years...but still he treat my mom just like His servent not like his queen and still she is serving doing her job whatever she got as so called responsibilities about her husband and I really feel so hurtful about it...i don't have a good bond with my father bcs i never liked his way of talk i don't like the way he treated my mom... living in the same home but I don't talk to him without any reason... What to say I don't know whatever there's alot of people on this planet who's not happy with their partner but still doing everything their best to save the relationship and for their kids...i wish God will give me the right person I'm really afraid of this marriage to be honest But i keep my mind always positive and sometimes it's very very hard to keep yourself happy and positive but I'm doing it... Beautiful, well acted, realistic movie. Sometimes people get married with sincerity and love, but when we are in courtships, we always put our best foot forward, so to speak. It's only when couples live together after marriage, that they really get to know each other's shortcomings. Some can tolerate, and some can't, they feel suffocated in each others space. In situations like these, in my opinion, it's better for couples to part amicably and be happy than to live together in misery. This is what this movie is trying to portray. It's about respect and unselfish love. Especially when there are children involved. Kids are very perceptive, they can see bad vibes, no matter how much parents try to hide it. I think one would have more well balanced children with two happy single parents than two unhappy parents living together. This is just my take on things. Stay blessed.
I'd also like to add, that in no way am i encouraging divorce. A couple should sincerely try, to the best of their ability to save the marriage. Divorce should be the last resort.

If we may add, even the movie does not promote divorce. It only promotes the pursuit of happiness being the most important in our lives while using divorce as a metaphor for seemingly more important things that stand in its way.

Nice movie. For the couples who marry at an early age, this situation may emerge. Because as time goes by people change and so does their priorities in life. They seem to be best friends and love each other but certainty they are not soul mates. Their priority changed with time and they both want different things from life. The guy is laid-back, not ambitious and simple things makes him happy whereas the gal is go-getter, ambitious and doing great in her career. When two people want different things in life, it is hard to move ahead together. Luckily, even now they are best friends who share their true feelings with each other. They shared their emotions and finally decide what's best for them.
I guess the guy doesn't want a child , because when he said he like simple things, the girl had sarcasm in her tone while looking at the statue holding a baby and she repeated uh, simple things

I like this actress from Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. She also did a guest appearance for Murder 2 as a psychiatrist, even though she had a small role to play but her expressions was good.
Great to see this true life couple in a movie together in a romantic link. hope see them more but in a more happy relationship movie. They are such good actors

But story doesn't go well.
Itna understanding husband hai.
So why she wants divorce.
You should have indulge some strong point for the Divorce..
You are just giving message to the Society if divorce brings happiness then go for it.
Difficult to digest.
I strongly believe message of the video is do what make you happy, but for that Story lacks intent.

As far as the intent is concerned, here is what we think. Most times, the weight of one's own expectations of oneself is what causes most stress. Listening to someone speak their mind and not react is a gift that not all of us have and are capable of. We think about how much more can we do to try and become a person that we are not and that process stresses us. It is not so much about the other person than it is about ourselves and it happens mostly when we lose sight of what makes us happy. We start confusing the process of being happy for a destination called happiness and it takes a true friend to tell us that without the fear of losing us in the process.

Maanav Gohil is a very fine actor have seen him do much better for some reason he seems to be forced in this film - Shweta also looked uncomfortable in her part - maybe I expect more of Maanav . He has much higher potential.

At a personal level, we believe that Manav was the life of our film. His involvement right from the scripting stage through to the small improvisations he made during the shoot, only told us that he was as involved as he could be in this project. Definitely not forced. :-) As far as Shweta was concerned, looking uncomfortable was part of our brief to her. But thank you again for sharing such detailed feedback. Helps us introspect and improve wherever possible.

In my knowledge both r real life married couple..before marriage six months notice period is very good though..both can understand each other..devorse cases can be reduced..

While Veer makes his likes vocal without any expectation, they unknowingly pressure Maya into overthinking and stressing herself out, given the nice person that she is.
