Here's a overview: BBC was going to the news anyway, so they just cut the outro out and extended by 5 minutes. ITV decided not to broadcast regional news at 6, bringing the national news forward by 30 minutes meaning the programme was extended to 90 minutes from 60. Channel 4 didn't care about the news, so they did their own thing until their programme at 7pm and continuity pretty much was like "ah yeah, king has cancer no big deal but we'll now bring you the news every channel has broadcasted for the past hour now" Channel 5 was about to go off air, but stayed on air for an extra half hour because of the breaking news story. Sky News just began as normal at the top of the hour with breaking news, as they would as normal.
My TV was up on 5ACTION but thanks for archiving this. This would grab the attention of so many who are worried for the King's health. May he get well soon, and God Save the King. 🇬🇧 👑
Probably, and they’re most likely going to do what they did with Queen Elizabeth, and dedicate a Newsround to giving kids a history lesson which discusses his life, which I think is a very professional way to tell kids about this sort of stuff.
Does it really matter that much though? It's probably just a simple type-o. besides, he might secretly be American, judging from the last time I heard his voice in one of his streams.
@@jeffrey44 honestly, I did. Today was not a day where I would get pity about a simple typo, because I personally write everything the American way, cause honestly, adding a U after the O in words that end in "OR" just seems weird to me.
@@jeffrey44 you know, the usual. I woke up and one of the first things I did was open RUclips and watch some videos of my favorite creators, until I came back to this video and found that someone in the comments section named Jeffrey, apparently got a little picky about a very simple little typo that was made in one of the titles cards of the video, which involuntarily resulted in the American spelling of one of the words in said title card.
You wait years to become king and during your second year you get cancer.
"CHARLES, I WAS SUPPOSED TO RULE FOREVER, but i guess not."
Channel 4 should invest in a clock or something to announce the news with
Wow they handled with the grace of a half eaten pigeon with the cats still attached flung into a group of morris dancers.

Another BlueFrog video that I'm enjoying it!
Hoping the king is okay, please...
The King better not die on us! If he does, I will write under the official statement on social media "Well, it was fun while it lasted"!
We once had a nine days Queen, no matter what happens he won’t be the shortest serving monarch.
That was impressively fast!
First time since 1951 when George VI was on the throne has this happened.
Whether you’re a royalist or not, Cancer sucks.
Adding that the cancer had killed a lot of famous people from the past, the King's statement made sense.
I'm hoping the King can recovers from this...
It was wild having The Chase on pause, and then, fast forwarding expecting Granada, and instead, I got a delayed, extended newsflash by 10 minutes.
I hope the King recovers soon...
I don't :)
@@CypherSonic why?

Yes, I don't want to see another royal death...
ZING!
What about two separate videos on how the networks handled a Royal Death?

Sounds like Mary Nightingale had to stuff her pain-au raisin down extra quick this time, but that one last bit wouldn't shove off.
I think she was legit choked up a bit, she’s a favourite of mine as you can genuinely hear that sometimes she is really empathetic with the stories.
I feel awful for King Charles. I wish him a speedy recovery, and my thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time for them...
Me too. God save the King
Hope he gets a visit from Liz
6:38 I was originally joking about this ident being led into the news…
🎶Charlie's in a Box, In a Box Charlie's In a box 🎶
Do you have the lead up to 18:00 from Channel 5?
God save the king!!!👑👑👑
I Wonder If Newsround Will Talk About It Tommorow.
Probably

Get a clock, UKTV!
Lets go! And its almost been 2 years since the queens death
Just a step closer to King Andrew
False, if Charles dies, Prince William becomes the new king. Eldest sons and daughters will always be next in line for the throne.
