To the Fiero owner… There’s rev counter adapters out there that change the ignition pulses going to the cluster so the gauge reads correctly despite changing the number of cylinders.
i swapped a mk2 golf to a 24v vr6 and used one of those to keep the OEM cluster accurate. when comparing the rev noise to my own vr6, the little module was doing a good job of matching the revs on the cluster.
Yeah here in the states we love putting Chevy LS engines in them. There are tons of options to fix the gauge clusters. As a former owner of one the factory tach wasn't that good anyways. I ended up putting a better one in it. Mine was a gt so it had the 2.8 in it. I first put a b&m supercharger on it when b&m was still making them. I also swapped the 2.8 for a 3.4 out of a later model Camaro and worked the heads over. Made 302hp on a dyno on pump gas. Being so light it would eat V8 rustangs and gm f bodies and spit them out. Miss it but had to sell to fund my dream car, a 69 nova ss. The kid I sold it to totaled it out the next day in the rain. He was fine but it ruined the rare supercharger. I'm gathering parts and looking for another one now to build a V8 one with an aluminum 6.0 LS.

Sort of on the money there 😂 Started in mums auto vt, but wanted my manual license. So my uncle borrowed me a little suzuki baleno to learn in. Got my License on my 18th birthday and drove the suzuki around for about 4 months until I found my own car to buy which was that xr6 👌🏼
@@Revrideroam haha!! All good bro. Speaking from my own experience and observations, 1st cars usually suffer a fair few accidents and bruises! But you've still done very well to look after that xr6. Where i live, i have to park in the empty side of the car parks to avoid the people who open there doors without a drop of consideration about the car besides them. Obviously thats less of an issue in Oz.

Younger me would have bought it over the look of the car any day lol. Also the canadian girl with the Camry. Perfect First car btw. Being a Toyota it should take you everywhere. Mine was 91 Corolla for 4 Years.

10:59 don't bother trying to find and seal the leak. Just drill a weep hole at the lowest point on the bottom, and any water will find its way out.
